   The restaurant was empty for saturday lunch which was surprising, but the tasting menu tasted amazing. The waitress also treated us very nicely, will be coming back soon!

    I was not expecting this to be a higher end restaurant and was a little skeptical if I would enjoy it all but I was wrong! The food was absolutely delicious and their Half chicken was jaw dropping! 11/10 would be coking back here and also the MoMo peach sake was delicious

    Great portions and good value for money. Premium ingredients used but you don’t feel like you are paying for small two bites like other restaurants in downtown core. Hidden gem for sure!

    The staff and service was amazing except the one photo bomber we kept having in our photos more than once. Very unprofessional and not necessary (white male wanting to photo bomb a bunch of Asian girls). Food is good but quite over priced for what you get. Our meal for 4 girls with no alcoholic drinks was $400. The “sides” for the ribeye was a joke though. Menu says it comes with an herb salad and butter mushrooms which was basically a bit of micro greens and 4 little pieces of mushrooms. 12 pieces of sashimi was nothing special for $49 (4 pieces of salmon, 4 pieces of red tuna, 4 pieces of hamachi). The best thing we had was the crispy tuna temaki. Not sure I would come back here again. You can get the same or even better Japanese food for way cheaper elsewhere.

    We went for the prime tasting menu. Ambience was nice, upscale with a variety of seating. We were a couple on a week night dinner so it was lively but not busy. Tasting menu started off with sashimi (we were expecting the tempura that was listed first. A bit unexpected and felt like the tempura wasn't coming (it just came late) so started us off very... antsy. However the sashimi was very sub par and set expectations very low. AYCE quality tuna, salmon and snapper (server told us it was Hamachi but was a clear white fish like snapper, not the pinkish/reddish colour or taste of a good Hamachi cut). Pacing was way off, first couple of dishes came way too fast. Finished the tuna temaki, then we were eating through the rock shrimp tempura, but then given the cod half way. Then we rushed through the shrimp, and we were half way through our cod we were given the kamemeshi. It made the meal feel quite rushed. Tuna temaki was tasty but the spicy mayo on it de-elevated the flavour. It was like you got a beautiful steak but the chef put ketchup on it. The rock shrimp tempura was excellent. The kamameshi was incredibly flavourless, smelled better than it tasted (none at all). We put some of the yuzu miso sauce from cod onto the rice and that helped bump up the flavour. It needs some salt or MSG or something. Cod and wagyu were the main highlights but for the price, you're better off going to a restaurant that specializes in it. We got the sake flight and that was incredibly tasty but sold a bit short by our server. He mentioned he was not knowledgeable on sake and that it had a great "rice taste". Kinda funny, like saying vodka has a great potato taste. The sake was incredible, all had a very easy to drink, fruity and warm feeling while drink. A bit of a coconut water mouth feel and flavour. Overall, we will likely not return due to the value of the experience. It would be much better as a maybe a bar or with more focus on the guest experience.

    The food was incredibly disappointing. Small portions. Bland dishes. Not fresh. Very high prices. The staff were very nice, but the food was no where near acceptable for the price. We got the tasting menu and left early without finishing it (despite it was fully paid for).After a $300 meal, we went for burgers. Very dissatisfied.

    Really wonderful service and food. The oysters and uni were both fresh and delicious. The interior of the restaurant almost didn’t hold up to the quality of the food. Loud pop music did not match the elegance of the menu, table setting, and food. Freshest seafood I’ve had in Toronto. Would absolutely go again!

    While the food was outstanding, the experience dining here was horrible. The restaurant called earlier in the day warning about a 2 hour seating limit stating our table was booked after us. We were seated immediately upon arrival, but were not given menus nor greeted at the table by the waitress. Instead I ended up asking a staff about getting the menus and eventually about recommendations. He answered vaguely and was of no help. Turns out he was the staff to clear tables and serve water! Eventually our waitress showed up and was helpful about the menu. She suggested we order all our food together so the kitchen could ensure the pacing of the night. After we ordered the food arrived very quickly. I assume since the restaurant has a 2 hour sitting limit they are used to pushing out the food. This definitely was off putting. The appetizer, sashimi and sushi courses basically came out together. The wait staff hovered over us and would immediately clear off dishes as they were finished. Again this led to a very rushed feeling. Entrées was a similar story. In fact the wait staff was clearing the table before one of my party had actually finished with her dish. She was in the process of eating when he rudely went to take away both her side plate and the serving plate. She actually had to tell him that she was not done! I assume the staff are told to move all tables along due to the time constraint. Since we had used most of our allotted time plus we felt so rushed we skipped dessert. The restaurant presents itself as an upscale dining experience with exotic menu items with a matching cost. My issue was not with the quality of the food or even of the high priced bill, but with the mannerism of how the restaurant treats the guests rushing them at every turn. Our entire party felt like we were dining in a “fast food” environment. We will definitely NOT be back. I hope this review warns both patrons and owner of the bizarre experience we had.

    This was my third visit to the restaurant, and I loved everything as usual or I wouldn’t have gone back. Our server J is the same when I’ve had all my visits and he’s extremely attentive and knowledgable and makes good suggestions. They have added a new front of house manager, Brandon and this will make a big difference. He’s making sure that food is served properly and assist when necessary. In the future I’d like to see the tasting menu change so I’m not eating the same thing each time, although if I had to. there’s nothing wrong with that

    second time here and it was great as usual! my partner and i had the tasting menu and enjoyed it very much. the miso black cod and wagyu was our favorites. we didn’t like the mushroom rice dish as much (i didn’t like the texture and my partner thought it had too much truffle), but overall the rest of the items were delicious. the service was great as well, very attentive and friendly.

    Guys this is a Hidden Gem!!! The food it’s like an explosion of flavor in your mouth , the quality , the service , everything top notch !!! Me that I study for chef to see how calm, happy and peaceful they are on the kitchen it’s a great example of why the food taste the way it taste !
