   Great restaurant and yummy food but I would really recommend that the courses are spaced out a bit. There is no competition on who eats the fastest. A meal like that should really be enjoyed over a longer period of time. We were done in less that 40 minutes

   food was subpar and the pricing doesnt make sense for the quality. you can get better value at other restaurants in toronto. also they served a dozen oysters but missed one. you would think they would count properly for $40 oysters. the servers are awesome though. its a shame the food isnt good but its probably a nice spot for drinks. i wouldnt eat here again.

    The whole experience was wonderful, it was our anniversary and they sent two glasses of bubbly to our table. Food is outstanding, the yellowtail with truffle is superb, so are the ribs. Service is excellent.

    My fiancé & I dined here for the first time and we both absolutely loved it. Great food, great presentation and the service was great too! One of the best restaurants we’ve been to and we will certainly return! Not sure what any of the bad reviews are talking about.

    My partner and I went for my birthday for the prime tasting menu. We arrived for the earliest seating (5:30pm) and the restaurant was empty, slowly starting to fill up around 6. The food was pretty good, I wouldn’t say anything mind blowing. The sashimi presentation was nice, the dessert presentation was confusing (2 bowls on ice inside a larger bowl so the small bowls kept tipping and turning as you try to dig into them). Our server a few times brought out the next course before the previous was finished, so we felt a little rushed at times. Including tip and a $7 of still water, our bill was about $270, which felt a little bit much for the experience we had. The staff were all friendly though and we were full by the end of our meal. If I came back I probably would stick to the a la carte menu.

    Very mediocre food, you can taste how it’s made and there is no depth to the flavors. Ingredients are not married they are just sitting together in a dish. Some dishes were partially cold when served at our table. Overall very bland taste, will not go back. Spent over $100 each and ordered 7 dishes, I wasn’t even full.

    read about this on Toronto blog- but it is not good- and very expensive. Cod was greasy and the miso sauce was overly sweet. Sashimi was fishy- particularly the salmon, which is unacceptable for sushi at this price level. Service was great. I was hoping to find a new cool little sushi place- but this was not the case.

    I was not expecting this to be a higher end restaurant and was a little skeptical if I would enjoy it all but I was wrong! The food was absolutely delicious and their Half chicken was jaw dropping! 11/10 would be coking back here and also the MoMo peach sake was delicious

    The staff and service was amazing except the one photo bomber we kept having in our photos more than once. Very unprofessional and not necessary (white male wanting to photo bomb a bunch of Asian girls). Food is good but quite over priced for what you get. Our meal for 4 girls with no alcoholic drinks was $400. The “sides” for the ribeye was a joke though. Menu says it comes with an herb salad and butter mushrooms which was basically a bit of micro greens and 4 little pieces of mushrooms. 12 pieces of sashimi was nothing special for $49 (4 pieces of salmon, 4 pieces of red tuna, 4 pieces of hamachi). The best thing we had was the crispy tuna temaki. Not sure I would come back here again. You can get the same or even better Japanese food for way cheaper elsewhere.

    We went for the prime tasting menu. Ambience was nice, upscale with a variety of seating. We were a couple on a week night dinner so it was lively but not busy. Tasting menu started off with sashimi (we were expecting the tempura that was listed first. A bit unexpected and felt like the tempura wasn't coming (it just came late) so started us off very... antsy. However the sashimi was very sub par and set expectations very low. AYCE quality tuna, salmon and snapper (server told us it was Hamachi but was a clear white fish like snapper, not the pinkish/reddish colour or taste of a good Hamachi cut). Pacing was way off, first couple of dishes came way too fast. Finished the tuna temaki, then we were eating through the rock shrimp tempura, but then given the cod half way. Then we rushed through the shrimp, and we were half way through our cod we were given the kamemeshi. It made the meal feel quite rushed. Tuna temaki was tasty but the spicy mayo on it de-elevated the flavour. It was like you got a beautiful steak but the chef put ketchup on it. The rock shrimp tempura was excellent. The kamameshi was incredibly flavourless, smelled better than it tasted (none at all). We put some of the yuzu miso sauce from cod onto the rice and that helped bump up the flavour. It needs some salt or MSG or something. Cod and wagyu were the main highlights but for the price, you're better off going to a restaurant that specializes in it. We got the sake flight and that was incredibly tasty but sold a bit short by our server. He mentioned he was not knowledgeable on sake and that it had a great "rice taste". Kinda funny, like saying vodka has a great potato taste. The sake was incredible, all had a very easy to drink, fruity and warm feeling while drink. A bit of a coconut water mouth feel and flavour. Overall, we will likely not return due to the value of the experience. It would be much better as a maybe a bar or with more focus on the guest experience.
