Food and Service was excellent. Had dinner out with 5 coworkers. Left full and happy.
Murphy’s is one of my go to spots when I want delicious food in a cozy, warm setting. It never fails to please!
Love this restaurant! I try to visit each time I'm in Atlanta.
Host demeaned other employee in front of us, lots of empty tables,
Expensive and not worth it. Fish was over cooked and the pasta dish had about 6 pieces of pasta. Not a great value for money.
Awesome ambiance & customer service from all staff!
It was super loud. Our table was on the porch, in a very cold corner. Food was not great
We can always count on being served delicious food at Murphy’s. Such a treat to dine there.
Three of us dined on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn’t very full, yet they seated two tables right next to us, so it was very close. Otherwise, our server was friendly and courteous, food was very good and prepared exactly as ordered. Recommend the Murphy burger and Springer Mountain Chicken. Great place for a casual dinner with friends.
Wash-Rinse-Repeat. Murphy's does not know the word 'disappoint'. Went for New Years dinner, and even with no special addressing pork, greens, beans -the quintessential New Years meal was provided! Arrived ahead of our reservation & immediately seated. Being a holiday, the staff was slightly off their timing however, not to any level of annoyance [we were out on a 'date' & enjoyed being 'out']. Brandon let us know the special (filet mignon on Tuesdays), produced bread, our drinks and let us cruise the menu. My pork on-bone chop over greens & beans was smoky, tender, tremendous flavor and perfect balance of protein/fat. My wife's pasta shrimp was delicious, tender and (most importantly) not spicy. Toll House Pie for dessert was very chocolatey with crunchy crust which we split.... saved the sweet potato creme brulee for next time.
The sole detrimental comment was a table of three couples and their four small children whom were quite loud and restless after their meal was cleared away. Nothing to do about that, just noting that it was very obvious.
First visit in a couple years. Was a nice place to dine New Year’s Eve.
New year eve
As always an incredible meal. Never disappointed. Love Love Love the brisket!!

New Year’s Eve
Murphys is always an easy go to spot for food! I can go on a date night or take my parents for brunch, either way its always good!
Murphy’s is an old stand by for us, and has been for many, many years. I was very disappointed. I ordered the special, and after the order was placed was told they were out of it. I ordered the chicken and it was not good (how do you mess up chicken)? Our server was very nice, but seemed a little out of things. She forgot drinks, and waited 15 minutes after we ordered to tell us they were out of the special (at 7:30 pm). Maybe it was a rough night.
We live in the neighborhood and are always looking for good places to go. On the night we went, the waitress as well as the chef did not have a good handle on the meaning of Gluten-free. I had the waitress ask the chef several times on an item and finally the waitress came out and said we were right, it has gluten in it! -fine neighborhood place if you do not have dietary restrictions, but don't ask for guidance or substitutions!
Other then having a delayed wait for initial service, even for water, service was great.
Wonderful experience except for parking issues.
Have always loved Murphy's but hadn't gone for several years until last week. It is still just as delicious as before. The brisket was excellent and the calamari fresh. The corking fee is also only $15 so I would recommend bringing a bottle if you want to save money. Overall an excellent experience.
Excellent lunch, service and time with friends. We ordered the artichokes and calimari for appetizers. Excellent wine and cocktail selections. I look forward to returning again
We had assorted lunch and bread pudding for dessert
The food was so fresh! I always look for fresh options in restaurants...more than just salads. Loved the little touches of fresh ingredients in the soup (like the avocado) and sandwiches (veggies) and the fried onion on the Caesar salad was a sweet treat.
I've always loved Murphy's. This visit was a little disappointing due to the unusually long wait for food to arrive. However, the food was excellent once we received it. I'm guessing they were just short staffed due to it being the day after Christmas. We'll definitely be back.
We had a wonderful time. Great place for a date! ❤️
Great food, lovely atmosphere, attentive and friendly servers. Have been there many times and will continue to visit.
Overall, the experience was good. My drink (mojito) could have been better - tasted like pure club soda.
Murphy's is a gift to the Virginia Highlands neighborhood and anyone else who ventures there for lunch or dinner. There's something for everyone on the menu and the food is consistently good. We had a great time, excellent service and satisfied a sweet tooth to finish off the night.
Excellent service and quality food, as always. You never feel rushed, so a great place to catch up with friends.
My best friend and I were celebrating her birthday over lunch at Murphy’s. We were greeted and seated immediately and our server, Vanessa, was excellent. Thank you!
Love Murphy's! The food is consistently great (pork chops and brisket were fantastic this time, but my usual go-to selections are either the chicken or the trout).
Safe bet : always fresh food, wonderful service, and an overall great experience.
I’m so happy to new items on the menu!
It was delightful, and the service was excellent. The food was fresh and delicious. A charming Virginia-Highlands treasure!
Yazmine was great.
Murphys has been the most consistently great restaurant in the 22 years I've lived in Atlanta. Always great food and service.
Murphy's is the consistently best restaurant in Atlanta for all-around great food, atmosphere and fun. It was the very first restaurant I went to in Atlanta when I moved here 15 yrs ago and I have been going back regularly ever since.
I had the Fall Vegetable platter and it was incredible! Seasoned perfectly, tasty. The server was great. She was there when she needed to be, but didn't hover. Gave us good tips on some dietary issues and was very pleasant.
We had a lovely lunch with clients. The service was superb, we never felt rushed in the least. It is always a pleasure to dine at Murphy's.
The brisket was delicious and a very generous portion and the seared tuna salad was lite but very satisfying.
