A dear friend’s birthday!
Very good breakfast and $11.95 for steak and eggs, not bad at all. I ended my breakfast with a spicy Irish coffee, yummy!
Sunday brunch is great!!!
So well decorated for Christmas! Thank you for staying flexible with our reservation!!
We were seated fairly promptly on the second floor and enjoyed nachos and Irish stew.
seafood combo was very good, although the crab cake was a bit bready. Server was excellent
I’m chalking this up to a bad day at Murphy’s…
My burger was grey outside and raw inside plus my martini was warm. The replacement burger was just plain bland. This was NOT the food quality Murphy’s usually provides.
My husband’s fish and chips was great as usual.
I was disappointed enough to cancel our brunch reservations. 😔
Champagne brunch was excellent, food was delicious!
Wonderful and friendly Irish atmosphere and hospitality. Excellent Sunday brunch. You won't go away hungry.
Great drinks, food and service as always. Very budget friendly place!
Great pub food in an atmospheric Irish pub. Try the traditional Irish breakfast for brunch!
This was my first time back to Murphy's in 25 years. I'd been going to Murphy's since I was 15 until I moved from the area. Had a chance to take my wife and son. The place hasn't changed. Still great food and music. A fun night out in Old Town. Fora true Irish evening, you can't really beat Murphy's.
As always, fantastic atmosphere , food, service and value. Halloween day was exceptional.
Great happy hour prices on drinks and apps! The fish and chips was the best I ever had, crisp outside and fish melt in your mouth inside. Only complaint is we went there for the music, which is posted online to start at 7. Wrong! It starts at 9. ☹️ Too long for us to wait. Just know before you go….
Loved Sunday brunch - great food, service and atmosphere
Champagne brunch is the best. The shrimp and grits are amazing!
Murphy’s is great fun with tasty food, drinks and excellent wait staff. The entertainment was superb and very crowd pleasing. We look forward to our next visit!
You get great value for your money at Murphy’s with strong drinks and great food.
Great fish and chips at a lovely outdoor table. Super nice server with efficient and friendly folks everywhere!
Always a fun time on Sunday for brunch. Continues to deliver good food and service o. A regular basis!!
Absolutely the best. Real Irish atmosphere. Fantastic brunch. Coming from Chantilly.
Great server who kept drinks filled and our desires met. Kitchen a little slow but big crowd.
It advertised music and dancing. Well, there was WAY too loud music and no dancing. Place was overcrowded and there was just one waitress. She did an extraordinary job but she was definitely overworked.
Wonderful champagne brunch. Very friendly, Irish atmosphere (obviously), always welcome and at home.
Good food and fun atmosphere. Lot's going on here Tuesday evening - Restaurant Week specials, 1/2 price burgers, Trivia Night, and Music....something for everyone!
We dined upstairs, which was fine, but our waiter was curt. He'd get annoyed (huff and roll his eyes) if we asked him to repeat himself or asked any questions and he hardly came by. We wanted to order more drinks and dessert but our out of town guests were annoyed.
We're wearing masks - please slow down and speak clearly. We understand everyone is understaffed and try to be patient, but we felt like an unannounced house guest.
I'll be back for the food, but will refuse to sit at this person's table again.
Overall amazing! The food was awesome along with the live entertainment.
This is an Irish pub that has excellent food. I went there for the steak night and stayed for the music. Amazing
We enjoyed the food and had great drinks!
Always love to come to Murphy's! We sat outside this time, everything was great. The service was slower than normal, but we also understood that it may have been because we were seated outside.
Great place for brunch! Enough options to make everyone in your group happy. Service is great and everyone is friendly.
You can't beat the weekend brunch deal. Food is good, plenty of options, service was great and you get champagne. Staff is always friendly and attentive. We always get great service there but Erin was especially good on Sunday and Maria behind the bar is always friendly and welcoming.
We have brunch at Murphy’s every Sunday. Obviously, we like it!
Great food for a great price. The staff is always kind and welcoming.
Fun place! Thank you!
Again - a fantastic place with true Irish atmosphere. Great location in heart of downtown Alexandria. Great place for brunch.
We had a great time. The service was a tad slow but there a lot of large parties and possibly understaffed to cover the crowd. We were understanding of that. Although our waiter could’ve been friendlier. The food was great. We will definitely go back.
Typical Irish pub atmosphere, very dark very loud and difficult to talk;above average bar food;nice beer selection;live music doesn’t start til 9:00 on Fri nights would be nice to start earlier especially in the summer. Also can be a bit warm in the hot summer
Great times, as always. Will be back again very soon.
A real Irish Pub atmosphere (genuine). This is my favorite brunch place. Always feel at home. Sunday is not complete unless I am there.
So fun and dependable. We go almost every Sunday.
