Welcome to Murphy's on the Green!
Murphy's, established in 1992, had its roots as a simple pub. Over the years it has transformed its look and gastronomic excellence to our present day polished casual appeal Our Executive Chef Stephen Dow is truly local (born and raised). Since late 2008 he and his team have uplifted our culinary program and have incorporated a very strong bond with the Upper Valley's many fine farms and purveyors. Chef Dow simply knows how to create balanced menus with pleasing taste satisfaction and firmly believes that by adopting a locavore mindset our customers will enjoy the many benefits and results.
We are the top rated restaurant in the area on Trip Advisor and many other rating sites and are proud to be recognized as such. It is nice to know that the public appreciates our commitment to culinary excellence.

    Super convenient and decent place for dinner while visiting your favorite Dartmouth student. The ambiance is fun, although the seating was cramped for a group of five. Food was good.

    Delicious eggplant dish and very fresh citrus summer salad. Our server, Natalie was very friendly and professional. A very lovely experience!

    Food and drinks were excellent! A fixture in Hanover. Our server, Julia, went above and beyond to make our evening enjoyable and special.

    The one good thing about the experience was the manager's response to our very overcooked steak (ordered medium/rare)and another mistake. He apologized and comped us. We unfortunately really disliked all of our foid.

    On the new menu, the "smash" burgers are fairly tasteless. Used to be that good regular style burgers were much better.
