The music was quite loud, and our party of 4 had a hard time talking with each other. The food is a bit pricey, as well. It was so dark, that we could not read our menu's and had to use a flashlight on our cell phone. The hip-hop music was constant and quite irritating. You really should look at the age of your customers, the vast majority of them are over 35, 50, 60 and higher. How about thinking of them.
A radical departure from your typical Greek food that is served in other restaurants. Loved the absence of Hummus from the menu (Hummus is not Greek). The “tapas” idea let’s you try many different dishes. Limited variety of wines.
We have been to Nammos a few times and we are generally very happy with the food.
However this time we opted for the Dine Out menu and we were not happy at all. The food came in much smaller portions compared to what we usually had. We understand that the portions were adjusted to the price, but we are not sure that this is the whole point of Dine Out. Had that been the case, they should have at least let us know that they are adjusting portions.
Regarding taste, the feta with honey was too salty and there were a couple of tiny bones in my fish fillet. The desserts and the lamb were delicious.
The service was ok but not as good as other times we have been there. We believe that was entirely up to the waiter who did seem a bit distracted.
Again, we generally consider Nammos to be a great although pricey restaurant, but this time we were left disappointed.
Great atmosphere and good food served by friendly staff
Dine out Vancouver 2019
Food was spectacular and the service excellent. Great value for authentic Greek food. It’s wasn’t my first visit nor will be my last.
Three of us ordered from theDine out menu and the one ordered from the menu; all raved about each dish brought. The place was busy and noisy but the service was prompt and friendly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks available and his recommendations were spot on. We plan to go back!
Food was delicious however the seafood option for entree for dine out Vancouver option was very small and disappointing. Plan piece of fish wish two carrots and green beans, cauliflower purée which was about two tablespoons worth :(
Our service was terrible. Food was mediocre. Yes I know you can never expect the best during dine out but for a restaurant that wasnt even full, the whole experience left a bad taste.
Great food, interesting variations on Greek traditional dishes.
Excellent food and friendly helpful staff. Our only quibble was the noise level - stratospheric!
Our host suggested we avoid coming on weekends to enjoy lower decibels. We thought the music with its strong backbeat was contributing but apparently clients like it. We will return as it's in our 'hood but not on a weekend.
Really delicious food and not your standard Greek fare that you find in Vancouver. The feta wrapped in phyllo is a must try!
Amazing meal! The mushroom risotto was phenomenal! I would definitely go again for a special occasion. We had one appe, salad, meat dish, risotto and a 9on. Glass of wine, spent over $100 with tip be prepared 😁
This is my favourite restaurant. I don’t go anywhere else anymore. I love this place.
Tasty as h***! Great staff. Perfect date spot or small group dinner for a memorable night.
Server was borderline unfriendly- if she would of smiled we would have felt more welcome. Food was bland - appearance/ presentation was good but flavour wasn’t there of the 3 mains, 4 appys only one appy had amazing favour the rest was just bland - won’t go back
Food served tapas style means that it comes out when ready. In our case, one meal came out when everyone else was done - and this last meal was overcooked.
Great food, great service and a lovely atmosphere.
Very satisfied with my experience in this restaurant. The proprietor cared that we were there and made certain that the IPA we were drinking from his tap was fresh and sound. The food was very tasty and the share plates worked well with a party of four. Lighting and music was sensitive and brought the room together. I will be returning.
Everything from the food, service to wine was perfect! Excited for our next visit :)
Had a great dinner with friends. Always enjoy ourselves. Food is consistently delicious - mid range cost - good wine and beer - and friendly atmosphere. We will be back.
Best Greek in the city! Well worth the drive from downtown!
Loved the tzatziki, seafood pasta. Happy staff, happy patrons. Over ordered, but will snack for days.
Very enjoyable overall experience - wonderful food, service and ambience (casual enough for every day, but nice enough for a special occasion). Perfect Friday night catch up with my best friend!
We loved everything. From welcoming us to getting us familiar with their menu. They were very welcoming. The place was well decorated with great details. The food was just perfect!
Food is delicious and love the tapas style. Such a nice change from your typical greek restaurant. Food comes out fast and as its ready, everything was delicious and fresh. Some of the prices are a little high for what you get (aka single skewers of souvlaki are $7.50 and 1 skewer only really serves 1 maybe 2 people, plate of potatoes $9 - but they are so good). The atmosphere and interior design are beautiful and they have a nice wine menu as well! Would go back and would recommend to others!
We go here all the time as it’s in my neighborhood. We love the dips as appetizers and one of our party said it was the best Greek salad he’d ever tasted. I always get the lamb chops and the mousakka is awesome (I’ve had the beef and the vegetarian version are equally good). The portions are generous. One of our party had the special chocolate baklava (but it was the last portion so we couldn’t all have it).
Our only complain this trip was that we were a group of 8 and they don’t split the bill or list each guest separately on the bill. This made paying awkward and we weren’t told ahead. I know there are a lot of computer systems out there that do so this surprised us.
It won’t deter us from going back but guests should know at the beginning of the experience.
Portions were decently sized for a tapas style menu and the dishes were quite tasty. The restaurant wasn’t too loud and allowed me to have a conversation with my girlfriend.
Food was good and tasty. Service was mixed. We ordered some extra bread and it took so long to get we had no appetizers left and our mains had already arrived.
The waitress was lovely from the moment we sat down. Very personable, easy to talk to and knew the menu extremely well down to the ingredient level which for me is great as I have some food allergies.
The food itself was not just some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had, but some of the best food I’ve ever had period.
I highly recommend this place!
