A little loud for conversation. Cold sitting by the door. More pita should be offered (no charge) with your dips.
Over all we enjoyed it.
Paolo is the best <3
Great food and even greater service! Lucas was a great help with helping us choose our wine and menu items. Loved all of the recommendations!
Just went here for dinner for my mom's bday. It was our first time at this place. Great first impression of the place, little on the fancy side and the staff and service were great. The only thing that's preventing me to give a 5 stars is because some of our dish order (calamari, veal and lamb roast) was a little on the salty side. The grilled octopus was to die for just a warning not to eat a big piece, probably eat in a dime or nickel size piece cause anything bigger than that is a work out on your mouth cause it chewy but not rubbery. The Greek salad was the bomb. We love the big piece of the creamy almost like goat cheese texture of the feta cheese and the added capers. Overall will be back again hoping that they'll read this review and adjust the seasoning of some of their dish.
Decent overall experience. Some of us enjoyed our dishes more than others. I enjoyed the calamari.
The food and service were very good, but the noise level was UNACCEPTABLE. Music was MUCH too LOUD, especially the thumping bass! We had to shout at each other across the table to be heard. It really spoiled the experience of an otherwise very good restaurant.
Although the food was excellent the noise was beyond belief.
We were told that weekend evenings are always busy and loud.
Great lavraki. Tender meats.
I indicated on open table this was for an anniversary. Not that I was expecting anything special just for saying that, but I figured if I was asked, there would be an acknowledgement, which there wasn't.
Also, while I was happy the food came quickly, I was a little surprised our anniversary meal was done inside an hour. Will acknowledge we didn't have dessert.
Food was excellent.
I live in this hood and live the food. This time I took friends who’s never been there before.
They raved about the food. I always order the Calamari because growing up I had never had good calamari.
This dish I a totally different experience. Soft and melt in your mouth! Order either the veggie or meat moussaka! I love it!
I had the freshness and authentic Greek flavour at the restaurant as “something my Greek grandmother would make”.
I’d go back again tonight if someone was up for it!
Nammos exceeded my expectations. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. Everything we ordered was delicious - great small plates to share. The atmosphere was classy and comfortable, although a bit loud. I plan to return
It was nice to have both brunch and lunch options (which we took advantage of). The brunch dish was great, hot and delicious. The lunch dish though (lamb shoulder) felt like it was poorly reheated, served in a cold cast iron dish. Although the meat itself tasted good, the temperature really ruined it for us.
2nd time at the restaurant.Had the calamari and the lamb. Calamari was too dry. Lamb was too gamey.
Fresh. Fun. Delicious. My favourite restaurant in Vancouver.
Great place for a dinner date
Nammos is a favourite. Service is always great and they have some unique boutique Greek wines that are worth sampling.
My new found favorite Greek restaurants in town. We order the $100 platter from the grill lamb and calamari. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly.
Traditional dishes served in a family-style setting with a Greece-sourced and themed beverage menu. Serving size leans to the smaller end of the scale for a Greek restaurant, but everything we ordered was delicious. Temperate atmosphere and friendly staff. Thanks Lucas, for the wonderful wine recommendation!
The food was excellent. Although the restaurant was dimly lit at first, the staff made appropriate adjustments once they’ve realized. Could use more lighting in the back side.
Food was excellent, very fresh with lots of flavour. Large birthday party made it quite noisy and busy! But would absolutely dine here again!
Great food, fun environment, engaged service staff. We really enjoyed our meal and our visit.
Terrific food & service. Great value for money.
Great experience- food was delicious!
Definitely a bit more expensive for a restaurant outside of downtown- but for its ambience, you should expect that going in.
food was good but the loud rock music took substantially away from the experience
So pleasantly surprised by Nammos! We went there for lunch and shared a number of plates, all of which were amazingly fresh, homemade, and authentic. The octopus was incredibly tender, and the vegetarian moussaka was full of flavour. We live fairly close so will definitely be coming again - truly a neighbourhood gem!
Some of the staff have a bit of "attitude" and I am not sure why. Our two appies and soup were served to us all at the same time. I was going to send the soup back till we finished our starters but didn't. We didn't have a chance to finish the starters and soup and our mains came. The body language of the server was like "hurry up"! They need to improve upon their food sequencing and attitude. We ordered a dish which in other restaurants come with Tzatziki. We didn't get any. We asked for two and got charged $4.00 for them. No other restaurants in town does that as far as I know. It felt like a government money grab - not pleasant. We have been here times before. It has been similar but not as bad as last night. We have vowed not to go back. It appears the restaurant is doing well and a bit of arrogance has set in. This will come back to bite them if they are not careful. I have seen this happen before at other restaurants in town.
The food was outstanding, and the portions generous. We particularly liked the taramosalata and pita, and the chicken kabob. It's an excellent Greek restaurant, worth the trip from downtown.
I like the relaxed atmosphere and the food. I found the noise level very uncomfortable and our party of four had trouble conversing
LOVED every single dish!
The food was a wonderful as the last time, but the service was disappointing.
We sat on the patio on a hot evening. The music was not our taste and too loud. The food was good, tasted very fresh.
The closest to authentic Greek food in Vancouver. It is mostly small portions (like Tapas) so you try different stuff. Very nice and friendly service. Highly recommended
The presentation of the food was beautiful. The taste even better!! Ambience is absolutely lovely!
the food is very good. drinks could improve. staff is excellent.
Our first time at Nammos and it was great.
Food was delicious. Came out quickly. Our server Lucas was very knowledgeable of the menu and quite fun.
Definitely will return.
Why doesn't the restaurant read the reviews? There are reviews that the music is too loud which was the case . We brought it to the server's attention and his response was that's the way people like it. Are we not customers too? On leaving my friend also mentioned it, possibly to the manager and we were then told we could ask to have it turned down where we were seated. Not sure what what more we could have done when we did bring it to the servers attention. Our voice and head hurt from the volume. Putting that aside it was a treat to have the food tapas style, enjoyed the variety. Food came hot, delicious and we did not feel rushed nor did we have to wait for the food. Hands down the must have is the lamb chops. Overall an enjoyable evening had it not been for the high volume music level so you have to shout to be heard. They need to decide who their clientele is or who they strive to be, a pub atmosphere or a restaurant.
Went to check out this restaurant in the early evening with 5 adults, one child, and two babies.
Was very happy with the space they had to accommodate all of us. We ordered many different dishes. All were quite tasty and a fair price for the size. Everyone in our crew was really glad we came.
Awesome food, great service, would definitely recommend.
love this restaurant, always great service, our waiter was the best
