Came here from a recommendation from a colleague who was here 3 weeks ago. It’s unfortunate to say that this beautiful place was a BIG disappointment. Though the atmosphere overlooking the lagoon is priceless, it still does not make up for the ugly ugly rude service from our server Victor and the bad food. Not sure what this man had going on but rude doesn’t even cut it. After 20 minutes of being seated and no one coming to our table, we ended up flagging down someone to bring us water. 10 minutes after asking for the water, Victor out server, comes hurried to the table saying “ Okay, c’mon what do you want, let’s go” for the record we don’t know this guy and never met him before so not sure why he was talking to us like this. We ordered our drinks, appetizer and food and waited and waited and waited… finally received our drinks; strawberry mojito, Paloma, regular mojito and a passion fruit with Tito’s. I have to say none of our drinks were good. I had to go to the bar with two of the drinks for them to fix them. The appetizers came; shrimp ceviche, octopus carpaccio, roasted poblano with quinoa. The roasted poblano sat in a bed of refried beans which the beans were good but lukewarm. The ceviche was flavorless and the octopus carpaccio was okay. For the entrees we ordered the lobster (which they over cooked) they brought two butters for the over cooked lobster; popcorn butter which was disgusting and a garlic butter which was good, the lobster tacos (which tasted like freezer burn taquitos from some convenient store), the tuna steak was overcooked as well, and the last entree was the flank steak which was fair at best but lukewarm. Not sure if our food sat in the kitchen or what but, I can’t even explain. After all this, Victor did not come to check in and ask about the food or if we wanted more drinks. We had to keep stopping bus boys for more water. We flagged down another waiter and asked for our check since Victor never to check on us. Would not return.

Great food combined with excellent service and a beautiful location. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Louis was attentive without hovering and his menu guidance was spot on. Highly recommend making Navios part of your Cancun trip. We will definitely eat there again.

A beautiful fusion seafood restaurant in a quieter stretch of the hotel zone in Cancun. We had dinner in the little huts atop water, and it was really nice. Food was very delicious and service was good as well.

El lugar es hermoso y vale la pena ir solo por eso. Recomendaría más bien ir a tomar una copa o algo asi. La comida no está mal pero no es cosa de otro mundo. Just fine. Pero repito, el lugar lo súper vale.

I had a truly fantastic experience at Navio Restaurant! The delightful drinks were a highlight, and Alberto May's exceptional service took it to the next level. He went above and beyond, offering expert guidance and sharing hidden gems of the restaurant. Superb doesn't even begin to describe it! I can't wait to return.

My second time having dinner at Navíos… and once again the service, food and view was great. The Vera Cruz style fish and the Adobo Octopus were delicious! If you come for dinner. Check the time for sunset and make your reservation accordingly… it’s always beautiful!

La comida, en su mayoría, de muy buena calidad. Tienen varios platos que valen mucho la pena (tostada de atún, el ceviche verde, el pulpo a las brasas, entre otros). Sin embargo, el servicio es lentísimo. Amable, pero ridículo que con sólo dos mesas (un lunes por la tarde) tomen tanto tiempo para entregar los platos. De manera particular, se pidieron dos postres que no necesitaban hacerse al momento y se tardaron 35 minutos en traerlos.

Navios was lovely, the food was excellent, and the value was even better than expected. The bone marrow with octopus, if available, is incredible. They will also actually honor your occasion if you are visiting for one and the service - I believe we were helped by Quinto - is very attentive and welcoming. This place far exceeded my expectations for dining in the hotel district.

Amazing setting and amazing food… only had the house ceviche and the conch and got super full so did not order more… but the whole hog fish sounded lit. Tarpon swimming around you the whole time. Amazing experience at night while the water lights are on. The Pancho Villa is the second best drink I have had in Mexico. Don’t miss out. Hate when everyone asks you to rate their service at the end of the meal… but this happens everywhere here and I will probably get over it. Maybe.

I have been going to Cancun about once a month for the last 16 months. I have been out to dinner so many times and did not know Navíos existed until this last trip ! I am so glad I found it! My friend and I went to dinner and it was delicious and gorgeous. We asked to sit on the lagoon and our request was honored and we were literally in the middle of the water! Luis Miguel our server was outstanding!! Drinks and food. Amazing!!! I cannot wait to come back to cancun so that I can bring more people to Navíos. I have recommended Navíos to about 10 people since last week ! Truly a great and beautiful spot for delicious seafood! So glad I found Navíos!!!!
