Whole fried fish, pickled vegetables sweet plantains, bammie, dumpling
Upon arriving, my friend and I were seated promptly as we had a reservation. The greeter was polite! The waitress was polite, friendly, and professional! They were out of crab cakes at the time (3/2020) and made an accommodation. The ambiance was very nice! The bathroom is maaaaadddddd far, so don’t go alone. (It’s like yo stairs... down the hall... and in the corner) thankfully, I didn’t go alone! The waitress got missing a little towards the end up the meal but she found her way. Is definitely go back though... it happens! Servers aren’t perfect nor robotic! Sooo, yes, id go back!! The food was amaaaazing!!!
The vibe in this establishment was AMAZING! I was seated downstairs and loved being able to hear the DJ upstairs. I ordered the oxtails and they were DELISH! For dessert I ordered the bread pudding and was disappointed because it was served cold. My waitress assured me it was a warm dish. However, I will definitely be dining here again...soon!
My daughter and I love the place and make it a point to fit it into our schedule
arrived at restaurant promptly at 9:45p from out of town with touring party, only to discover that the restaurant was closed. restaurant hours do not reflect this on Google Maps and other platforms. why was i even given the option to make reservation?!
This place is definitely a vibe! I loved it! There was a problem with my food, the waitress was very understanding and the manager took care of it with no problem. Mimosas were great!
Amaaaazing food. Gluten free options. Kind wait staff. Great happy hour! Issue is paying for parking, but you can get 3 hrs for $7 most days.
One of my favorite places! Great food and great service!! Love the energy and ambiance!
The food was good but we had to wait 30 minutes for a 6 pm reservation. We had an 8pm concert to attend which was why I made the reservation at 6. Totally unprofessional to seat a party 30 min after their reservation.
I do not recommend this venue. The manager was our server, which made the experience a little better. She was accommodating and very customer service oriented. The food was lightly warm, the food was not tasty, with the exception of the Mac and cheese. The oxtails was so fatty! More fat than meat. They supposedly gave me kettle one vodka, which was clearly not kettle one, I immediately turned that back in, so I asked for crown apple , which of course they didn’t have it. Beware.... The liquor is definitely not legit. They are overpriced for what we got..... 2 people $101 + $18 automatic gratuity..... why is there an automatic gratuity for a party of two...... Parking was $20 for 3 hours... which was directly next door to the venue. The elevator was not working, so you had to walk up the longest flight of stairs to get to the bathroom. Overall service was not good! Would not visit this venue again.
I went for Sunday brunch. The band was just now wrapping up which was super loud but the music was great. The service was incredibly slow. Most of the time we couldn’t find our server. I had an Atlanta dining coupon passbook that of course mgmt said I couldn’t use after all the food came to the table which he was a bit snippy. My meal came to 100 bucks and of course auto gratuity was tacked on which could be why service really didn’t care. I ordered the jerk chicken, oxtail pasta, and spring salad with salmon. The salmon just came on the side which I ended up crumbling into the pasta as it didn’t appear to serve any purpose on the salad at that point. Overall it was ok. Not really worth the money and I won’t be coming back until somebody is treating.
This was my first time visiting the restaurant and I was sooo impressed by my waiter and his attention to detail and great drink suggestions. The food was phenomenal and large quantities.
When it was time to go we wanted to take the remainder of our food with us but they were out of to go containers. When we spoke with the manager she was aware of the situation the day before. This was disappointing because there should have been other provisions made to accommodate people. After waiting for 45 min she returned with a to go box.
Several menu items, like coffee, were 86 despite the restaurant just opening. The opening is also 11 am and not 10 am even though this app allows you to book for 10 am but the staff was accommodating and allowed us to dine early.
Not sure if my bad experience at this restaurant was due to the fact my reservation was for 10pm! But, that should not have mattered to have such poor service. On top of the that my main escovietch fish was not seasoned properly and burnt. I decided to give this restaurant a second try for a friend's birthday and I will not be returning. Good luck!
We had a party of 4 and gratuity was included. She was the worse waitress ever. We would usually give additional, but this chick attitude was horrible!
My sisters birthday dinner had over 20 people they gave us 1 service to accommodate all of us which was not smart at all! Then one table had their food before the other table and these plates are not your average size plates, the table whom had their food first was already done by the time the other table received there food! Overall the food was AWESOME and I would go back just because of how GREAT the food was.
I'll be back, It was overall a nice place to eat and have some after dinner drinks. The service was kinda a slow with drinks but other than that I had a wonderful time. The birthday MAN enjoyed his evening.
Great restaurant, convenient location. We were in town for business trip and I am a returning guest. Recommended the restaurant and everyone obliged. For Caribbean food the experience is well worth it. Oxtails were food of choice and they delivered...The rice and peas was masterfully prepare and a suitable complement for the oxtail, plantains and stew cabbage rounded out the meal. My only caveat to the experience was, while there was a paid parking lot next to the restaurant, there was no affiliation and the parking spaces were inadequate. Recommend car service if going to the restaurant. Great food, good service...well worth the trip.
Yes, I would recommend Negril Village to a friend with a caveat. It’s a beautiful restaurant. However, before opening for the evening, they should take the time to clean up paper/trash at the entrance. Entering a courtyard littered with trash does not give a good impression on what’s in store. Also, handwritten notes taped to the doors informing guests the restaurant opens at 6pm isn’t classy.
The service was good and prompt. The food was delicious. But if your digestive system isn’t accustomed to greasy food, you might rethink ordering the Curry Goat and Oxtails items.
The food was amazing!!!! We had the jerk chicken and waffles. Ambience was great as well!!!
The food, value and service was good. The music was too loud making it hard to hold a conversation.
The card splitting is not clear - but the food is good and the vibe is nice
I love this place, I love the staff, and the food was amazing!!!!!!
It’s always good to come into a black owned establishment and receive such amazing service. Thank you 🙏🏾
I had the ox tails which were excellent. My boyfriend had the jerk chicken. His only negative was that it wasn’t really hot so he had to send it back to be warmed up.
They sat us immediately before the entire party arrived, which was great but we couldn't order anything until everyone arrived even with the tickets being separated. Once the entire party arrived it took a minute to get our orders taken and a long wait to get our food. When the food finally arrived, mine was missing so I had an even longer wait. Once I received my food it was good. The plantains were good and fresh.
Went with coworkers. Waiter and food were great, drinks took too long to come and were weak with too much ice.
Went to Negril for a first date. Had an 8pm reservation and we arrived a few minutes early and was seated speedily. Our server was great. We didn’t wait long for drinks or food. We started with the codfish fritters. They were good! My boyfriend had the oxtail pasta, which he enjoyed. It just had a little bit too much spinach for his liking. I had the oxtail with rice and peas. The meat was a little bit salty but was cooked veryyyy well! The aesthetic was very nice, brick walls, marble table tops and chandeliers are right up my alley! Overall it was a good time!
Love this place!! Great food!
Food was awful. Priced way too high! Will not be back
My favorite brunch spots!! Food is always hot and delicious!! Service was on point!!! Never disappoints!
We were well taken care of during our reservation at this establishment.
Arrived at 6pm for a 7:30 show at the Fox Theater. The restaurant was relatively empty when were seated at our table. We placed our drink order and reviewed the menu for our appetizers and main course. When the server took our dinner order, the drinks had not arrived. Approximately 25 minutes after sitting our drinks arrived. We then waited another 15-20 minutes for the appetizer to arrive. Shortly thereafter, main courses started to arrive. All meals were delivered except for one. We did not see our waitress during this time and had to relay messages about the tardiness of the last meal, which arrived at 7pm. We left the restaurant at 7:15 and hurried to make curtain call. No apologies from the staff. Very disappointed in the poor level of service. The food however was very good.
The food was delicious and the service was good!!
Great as always
Our waiter Maurice was amazing. We can be a little difficult at times with ordering but Maurice made great suggestions for us. He was always one step ahead when we made requests, gave us great laughs and was professional at all times. The food was great, except the waffles with the jerk chicken and waffles. It’s advertised as pineapple-infused waffles. However, I did not taste the pineapple purée. It would probably be better to add some crushed pineapples on the side. The rest of the foo and drinks were great. All of this could have been overshadowed by the host who had no desire to seat us when we had a reservation and there was only 2 tables with ppl in the entire place. Thanks to Maurice for a great experience.
So I planned my birthday dinner here for 10 people but only 6 came and the host helped me make accommodations quickly. I loved that. I got the Creole shrimp and grits I was a bit disappointed because it wasn't spicy and honestly not only that the taste was a bit bland. However my friends had the chicken and waffles and Escoveitrch and they enjoyed it. So I would recommend the shrimp and grits if you like actual “creole” food. I had one of my friend Plantains and they were over cooked . Parking is $20 for anytime which is way too expensive for about a hour. The table in the back of us kept yelling it seems as if they’re were gonna fight and nobody told them to quite down. The place is very gorgeous but I won’t be back.
They were out of bacon and didn’t have a fair substitute. But the rest of the experience was fine
The atmosphere was great!!! I will definitely go back!
The food was delicious! The vibe was definitely what my friends and I needed.
I would recommend because food was great!! Service was very very slow. Wait staff was friendly but no reason given for such slow service.....
