With a reservation, the wait was still long. My reservation was at 2:00 pm but was not seated until 2:50 pm. We brought our own cupcakes in and was never told we would be charged a $25.00 CAKE FEE until we got our bill. For as long as we waited I had plenty of time to walk those cupcakes back to the car. I would have never agreed to pay that amount. Those cupcakes were not that serious. In the future, they should be upfront with quest about the Cake Fee.

Our Bookclub chose Negril Village to discuss our current selection. We had an excellent time. We had reservations, but were running a little late, and wa still seated immediately. I ordered the jerk chicken and it was perfectly seasoned. The corn bread with agave spread was delicious. Ginger beer was on point and I had to get some extra Mac and cheese to take home. We will definitely return.

Had a 10pm reservation and we arrived promptly at 10pm. Waited 15 minutes to be seated then another 15 minutes for our server to greet us. Food was great as usual for the most part. I ordered a soup and salad and they delivered my soup without a spoon. Long story short I never got my spoon and my soup got cold so I sent it back. Negril is much better for lunch.

I would not recommend Negril for group dinner reservation. I had a horrible experience on my birthday... I was instructed that there were 2 parking lots. Both were full and packed out. So end up being maybe 15-20mins later before I made my dinner reservation. It was late and getting very late even when I got inside we still had to wait for our table to be ready which I don’t understand because that why we made a reservation. Once I made it inside they didn’t not want to sit my guest bc I had 2 people on the way, finding parking. The payment method was excruciating literally .. I called them before and asked what were their policy on groups and they told me specifically that it is BEST to bring cash bc they do NOT accept more than 4 card separate card payments. ALL of my guests had cash on them. When it came back they totaled everything in one bill and refuse to break the bill up so each individual could see what they owe. So we spent atleast 30 mins trying to handle the money and also account in tax gratuity. Anyway some money end up being loss so I decide to cover the extra bc when we broke it all down it still did not add up to the overall total. I will not be back again.

When I have to look for parking for 20 minutes and then pay $25 for self parking before even entering the restaurant, it’s already a bad night.

We were seated immediately because we had reservations. The host was nice.

Our waiter was top notch.

Our food was delicious, but it came out so fast. I’m talking like 5 minutes after we ordered our curry goat and oxtail meals were ready. Which means none of it is fresh or made to order. My problem with that is the price. If this food is sitting, you can’t charge me premium prices.

I don’t know if I would go back. I spent $80 on food and $45 on parking and tip. That is not good value in my book.

I can literally get the same experience for $60 elsewhere.

I visited Negril on my birthday. We had a party of 8. The server came to the table very unprofessional. The waitress name was Tyler Lea. She was using foul language and talking to us as if we weren’t customers. She also seem intoxicated as her words was slurred. In addition, she didn’t write down our orders and messed the entire order up. People were missing food and mostly all the orders was incorrect. She did not take ownership of her mistake, instead she talked bad about the restaurant and management. The manager on duty seemed nervous to speak with us, as well as the waitress. This ruined my birthday experience. I’ve been to Negril before and the service was definitely better than this. I had family visiting from out of town and this was their first impression of Negril and will not be returning. I hope the waitress is coached around professionalism and how to represent the establishment properly.

I’ve been here over 3 times and usually always have a good experience. This time I didn’t necessarily have a bad experience but not the same level I’ve had in the past. The wait for our food was unusually long as they apparently ran out of cabbage, but no one asked us if we wanted to exchange in order to receive our food sooner. Once the food did arrive, everyone’s plate had to be reheated. The manager did discount the overall ticket and tried to acccomodate Us the best way he could. I will return because I do think it’s a great place especially for our girls day events. We did also appreciate the waiter and the manager for fixing the issue without hesitation.

Overpriced Caribbean food. Honestly kind of subpar. The female DJ they had was great. Ordered a carafe of rum punch as soon as we sat down didn’t get it until 10 mins after the food came. The waiter was sweet, and did the best she could I presume but I wasn’t impressed overall.

Scheduled my wife's birthday party well in advance. Showed up 20 minutes early. Paid 20 for parking. Notifies the hostess that we were there. She notified us that the next 2 top was ours. 6:30 came and gone and no sign of organization or mgt in sight. Tables were not being bussed. We left and had to eat elsewhere. Never again.

I booked a 6 PM reservation through OpenTable. However, when I arrived, the host stated that there were currently no tables available. I was not seated until 6:50 PM. The host stated that they ran out of silverware and this was causing the delay in seating patrons. I made the 6 PM reservation because I was going to the Fox Theatre for a 7:30 show. Our food did not arrive until 7:26 PM and I had to rush to eat a portion of my food so that I could make my show. I ended up late to the show because of the service. I don't understand how they ran out of silverware or how my reservation time was not honored. The food was really good but the service has me questioning if I will patronize this establishment again. I was very disappointed.

It was a busy Negril Village Sunday - as usual. Took over an hour to seat us, food took FOREVER to arrive, with some options not even available by the time we ordered.
STILL, the vibe/ambiance is always awesome.

My only complaint is the system used for seating. Even with a reservation, the seating is done based upon who checked in first and due to the noise level (which is fine, by the way), if you and your party are sitting at the bar you may or may not be able to hear the host(ess) call your name when your table is ready.

Pros:
*The ambiance was nice.
*The food was GREAT!
*Once seated, the food came out fast.

Cons:
* Only public parking available ($20)
* Had a reservation for 5:45pm but the
resturant closes from 4 to 6pm (on
Saturdays). There were about 50+
people cramped in a tight space waiting
to be seated at 6pm (all at once).
* Seemed very unorganized
* While our waiter was nice, we felt very
rushed and didn't even get offered
dessert.
Because the food was GREAT, I would return since I now know what to expect.

The food was amazing once it came! However, the service was lackluster as my reservation meant nothing at all for seating. I still had to wait behind over 10 people for a table. There wasn’t a list or anything, just a guy at the host stand saying it would be a 30 minute wait and he’s “got me.” There was also an extremely loud live band playing on Friday night. This is not an ideal date night. It’s tailored more to a group outing setting. Great meal though.

Reservation was at 6pm, we ordered around 6:30pm..
Ordered appetizers and entrees at the same time. Had to mention to the server that we were trying to make it to the Fox for an 8pm show, because at 7pm, we still hadn’t received any food. Food was great, once it arrived, but we didn’t really have time to enjoy our food. Had to rush to finish, to make the show.. Had to take most of the food home.

Our reservation was at 6pm and we did not get seated until about 6:40 even after informing the host that we were going to the fox. Dinner took long too, it came around 7:20. We barely made it out at 7:45. I had to use the elevator to get to the restroom which was upstairs and there were stools and a cart with food on it stored in the elevator. To access the elevator, I had to enter the kitchen which was very nasty. Staff was carrying on in the kitchen and I saw someone sitting on the counter in the kitchen. How unsanitary. Stay away.

It was my birthday. I thought I should try something new. I wasn’t impressed. The service was slow. The waitress was slow. After waiting almost 30 minutes someone from the kitchen finally comes out and say sorry for the wait...they were waiting on the Shrimp and Grits. I had a reservation for 10 am...so on a Sunday morning EVERYTHING should have been ready. We didn’t order anything complicated- Jerk Wings, Rice n Peas, Shrimp n Grits and Oxtail Pasta. Since we had to wait our food they offered some cornbread.
