Located on Austin’s vibrant South Congress Avenue, Neighborhood Sushi serves high quality sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes in a casual and beautiful setting. Happy hour and-a-half will offer food and beverage specials weekdays 3pm - 5pm throughout the entire restaurant.

Our front door is on the neighborhood facing side, in the Annie Street parking lot. Look for a black-stained door with a white and wood light-box sign. Our host will be waiting inside to welcome you! ADA accessible entry through the Sake Garden on the Congress sidewalk.

This was great spot for lunch but little pricey for amount of food they serve. Nevertheless, everything was fresh and tasty. I possibly will be back for dinner. My lunch order was chefs roll and sashimi combo. Please see photo for details.

HATED the insanely loud Vegas club music, had to move outside. Great service and food, but ambiance was awful. Turn it down! People want to hear their company speak and enjoy the food not curled up over the table trying to listen and enjoy dinner together.

This was truly an amazing and exceptional experience at Neighborhood Sushi. The quality of the fish was outstanding and the amount of food we got for the value was really amazing. The vegetarian nigiri was really awesome -- the fish nigiri was truly outstanding although I would have liked for those pieces to have been dressed a bit more. That being said, in some ways, I loved eating the fish by itself because it was really wonderful to savor the taste of the fish itself. The ambience is really so fantastic, it's like being in Japan, it really transports you out of Austin.

Really great food and kind server. The noise level was so loud we could barely talk and the benches are wooden (hard and cold). We were freezing and uncomfortable. I wish they’d get better seating and turned the music down a bit. It would’ve made all the difference.

My husband and I are sushi lovers. We have always agreed on NOBU being our favorite sushi place we have ever eaten but we can honestly say that if this place and Nobu were right next to one another, we could choose Neighborhood. Not only because the value is so much better here but also because their food is THAT good. It’s also pretty casual so you don’t have to dress up but you most certainly can and won’t stand out so basically anything goes. Service was great and the drinks are good but if you want liquor with your meal, don’t choose Neighborhood. They only served mixed drinks with a sake base but still super tasty. One of the specials last night was pork belly and my hubby said it was one of the best things he has eaten. We also had the tuna tartare, the scallops with potato hairs, tuna belly hand roll as well as an oyster with caviar and yellowtail tempura roll off the special menu. Absolutely loved every bite. I’ve visited twice now and what brought me back last night was the scallops. You HAVE to try them. But seriously, everything is delicious.

Service is great! Food is good but the quality + quantity is not really worth the price. I can understand 18$ for 5 pieces of sashimi but for 3? Steep. That being said everything is still delicious, and the tempura is absolutely worth it.

This is our absolute favorite spot in Austin. We make sure to make a reservation every time we come to town. Food is impeccable and service is very good. Don’t Miss the Sea Bream- it is exquisite. Also the eggplant tempura and surprisingly - the fluke! Tried the miso soup with shiitake for the first time this go round- very very good. Shaved ice dessert with fruit sauces is so refreshing at the end. Bar or booth table or banquette. Atmosphere is hip and understated with modern music tracks that aren’t too loud to talk, and a patio with tables if you want to be outside or have it quieter. If you love sushi 🍣 and have a budget to splurge, this is a “don’t miss” spot! Management is very professional and unobtrusive. Signature sake cocktails 🍸 are refreshing and flavorful.
