Steak was great but the homemade bread ($7) was definitely not homemade. Nice ambiance but they should separate people watching the game at the bar from those having dinner

We had an outstanding grilled lobster cooked on charcoal .The ambiance was amazing and the server she was friendly and knowledgeable.
The quality of the product is definitely superiors of what you will find in an average steakhouse . It was our anniversary and the Chef made a beautiful dessert platter. A memorable experience. Highly recommended.
Booked a table after hearing about their buck-a-shuck on social media. Seemed like a quieter place, but maybe that had something to do with the weather. Server was very friendly and food was phenomenal. Ordered a dozen oysters, their daily catch, and an aged ribeye. Will definitely be coming back to check out their weekend brunch.
Waitress was very nice however we waited an hour and a half for our meal complained and explained it was my bday and we were starving about it and the manger didn’t even have the decency to come over and apologize. Completely ruined my evening

All our food was cold, and not to mention it was freezing inside to the point where even their own staff were wearing their winter coats inside
The first alert was the visual booster juice right next to the main entrance of Neruda. Inside the restaurant was huge with many of unattended space. The feeling of the atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming. There was an overpowering odour of smoke mixed with burnt food. The food was extremely oily and fatty which were served in big portions as if they wanted to get rid of their excessive food. Everything in their menu was overly priced, with unnecessary extra charges for the side dishes. Also, there was not many choices. We saw few people leaving the restaurant with disappointment and frustration as we did too. The food was overly cooked and smelled like heavy smoke. The service was ok and that’s was the only reason we stayed.
We do not recommend this overly priced restaurant to anyone.

They have the same price point as high end steak house but the quality of meat is not even close to what you get at say Morton's or Barbarians. I pick up better beef at Loblaws then I got at Neruda. Food was salty and I would bet the 18oz ribeye is not even close in weight to what it states on menu. If I recall correctly, Bone Marrow $25.00. I got 4 teaspoons of liquid, No marrow, I was surprised the chef let it leave for the floor. Very disappointed with food. Service was fantastic, well trained but that doesn't make up for lack of quality product or inferior cooking skills. Not going back.
My girlfriend and I had such an incredible experience at Neruda Thursday evening. The service and staff were incredible. The food?! AMAZING, rich with flavour. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great evening out. Can’t wait to go back.

We went to this restaurant for brunch and were wowed. All the food was phenomenal (especially the pancakes and the steak & eggs) and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be returning and recommend that everyone try this place!

Neruda is a big restaurant great for large parties or special events. We had a brunch buffet that was fresh and filling. The servers are friendly. In the summertime, the terrace is fantastic and right on the beach. You feel like you are on vacation. The menu is upscale and a bit expensive but I haven't tried dinner. It's worth checking out.
Amazing time great food , the head chef was really kind he gave us suggestions on what steaks to get and he even made us his very own in house chimichurri. I would recommend Neruda to anyone and I can’t wait to visit again.
This was our first time visiting Neruda, and we will definitely be back soon. Our waiter Anesti was phenomenal, and such a pleasant man to speak with. The food was mouthwatering, we were more impressed with every bite, even the herbed potatoes were out of this world. I recommended everyone try this place at least once, you will not regret it, worth every penny!
My wife and I went last Wednesday for our 3rd wedding anniversary - I had booked though open table and notified them it was a special night.
We were greeted by Andrew I believe - nice young man - and he quickly gave us a nice private table by the window, followed by a complimentary rose champagne.
ordered a really nice mixed drink each to start off - old fashioned and margarita - then a nice bottle of cab-sauv Wade. we wanted a dry aged steak so went with the bone in rib. wife ordered the grilled octopus.
had the beef tar tare - very nice - suggested a little more onion and herbs, maybe a little vinegar too.
We were served a beautiful meal on a wood bock board, and to our surprise they included all the trimmings, cesar, broccolini, potatoes, black rice, bread, etc. was nice of them to put together a full meal for us so we could try almost everything - Including a wagu steak on top! -and all the deserts they had to offer.
We were thrilled - took about 3 hours and we enjoyed our time, food, wine and great service - definitely recommend - only some small words of advice, octopus portion was small, we were excepting Danforth size grilled tentacles, grilled cesar needs to be served warm and charred, but other then that great meal and experience.
Dry aged steaks have a totally different taste then what you might be use to - great flavour with the aged meat - nutty - not bloody - but still nice and med rare full of flavour.
Price is for fine dining; ambience is cheap bar. Service was okay and the food was okay but very pricey. Would not go back
- Ambiance is not great. Attached to a Tim Hortons and a Booster Juice. Had a neon OPEN sign, despite being not very busy, were seated right near the entrance instead of near the Beach. Generally, felt as if I was in an Etobicoke strip mall, not an upscale restaurant in the Beaches.
- High prices were fair for the food quality, but terrible for the ambiance and atmosphere
- Ordered a Club Soda and was given a can of Schweppes. Don’t care that it was Schweppes probably tastes better than fountain pop, but at least put it in a glass with some lime.
- Hostess asked us if we had been served yet midway thru our meal (how else would we have gotten our food?)
- Group of students was seated next to us who were wearing flip flops and shorts, JUULing at the table, and taking shots. All for a good time but ruined the ambiance even further and again made it feel like an Etobicoke strip mall.
As always total value for the price, beautiful view worth the drive to the east end
great location nd setting, meal are overpriced , mall portions, did not receive all of our item ordered, desert election is very limited... full of piders hanging from ceiling. Beef was great but lobster ize and price were very disappointing.. I will not return
Neruda was fantastic. I’ve been for both dinner and their all-you-can-eat brunch special. The brunch special is by far my favourite. It’s great bang for your buck and delicious! I would definitely go back and I hope they have more brunch specials in the future!
Perfect steak and seafood platters, server did mess up our payment and led to a little confusion, but overall excellent service and courteous/friendly!
The decor inside is was tasteful yet simple, had a decent ambience about it. We had a very attentive server, she never let a drink go empty and always asked if we needed anything. The appetizers were better than the meal, my partner and I weren’t very fond of the aged steak. Aged steak is definitely an acquired taste, we also found the steak to be on the pricey side. Glad we tried it but probably won’t go back.
Anastasio our server was great. Greeted us with a smile and made some recommendations that enticed us.
He was very knowledgeable on the product offerings I can tell he enjoys his career.
As for the food:
-Wood fired charred Caesar Salad: seasoned well but lacked the char! Cut the wedges in quarters and char them on that beautiful grill!!
-Whole Orata: Nice char but lacked flavour.
-USDA dry aged striploin: Sweet in flavour but chewy and dry in texture. I was surprised because the steak was marbled so beautifully. Not sure it should have been like this???
I’ve had aged porterhouse in the past and it remained moist. Perhaps not as long and it was I who decided on an aged strip. I’ll stick to young aged meats. I want that juicy steak.
-Wood Fired Broccolini !!!!!!!!! Perfect!
- Sautéed Mushrooms: dry and tasteless. Poor execution.

We originally came in for brunch, but there was no brunch food and we were slightly disappointed. All the options available for 11:30am were foods more for dinner. We ordered the platter of smoked meats, which were good but they came out warm.
The location and ambiance were really nice. Also, our server was great and very friendly!

The lamb riblets are all fat... I was expecting a tasty lamb dish, but I couldn't eat most of what was served since it certainly wouldn't sit well in anyone's stomach. The ambiance is great and service was friendly.
Fantastic Evening! A wonderful meal - salad, steak and fish dishes and lovely pastries in a box for dessert. Service was topnotch. Wine - prosseco, chardonnay and malbec - were lovely complements to our meals and personal taste.
Francesca the pastry chef came out for a chat during dessert - she has worked in 3 Michelin starred restaurants in Europe and has now come home. Very special treats beautifully presented and delicious!

Location is beautiful and sitting on the terrace overlooking lake ontario on a lovely evening made it perfect.

Unfortunately not a professionally run restaurant - there is no voicemail set up, no one answers the phone and no email address for the restaurant. Further, management is either very green OR has no authority to make judgment calls on how to handle a sub-par and potentially life-threatening experience. We attended this establishment (my 2nd time), my companion's first time who has an allergy to gluten and dairy, which we disclosed to our server right away. We ordered the green salad, shishito peppers, octopus, oysters and 2 bottles of the super Tuscan red. We were told everything we ordered was fine for allergies however, the green salad we ordered came with kamut (a grain that contains gluten) but we were told it was Walnuts; to be fair, the server told us the salad came with walnuts prior to a recent change to the ingredient. We informed our server after eating some and noticing that it had kamut vs. walnuts which she unfortunately did not know until double-checking with the kitchen that the salad now comes with kamut. Sent it back, got a new one, but the lettuce was brown and unappealing. The manager checked in with us. We had hoped the 3rd time would be a charm - NOPE - same brown lettuce, so we gave up on the salad. Our server was the most pleasant and cheerful person I've ever met. Unfortunately, she, all the other servers and manager need to be proactive in double-checking menu item changes and the others who run food for each other should probably ensure quality of food being run to each table and for allergies. My companion got sick that evening and had this been an anaphylactic allergy she would have been toast. My recommendation - do NOT attend if you have allergies, product knowledge is sub-par across the board. In the end, we got comped a $14 salad. Would I attend here again, not likely. There are many other places in Toronto to get quality food at that price point but with staff/management who have proper food knowledge and quality execution.
