Hadn’t been to Next since before the Pandemic (although we’ve done take home Thanksgiving) and was glad to see there hasn’t been a decrease in food quality, serving size and service! All 5 stars. Extra bonus was to see our favourite server from a previous favourite restaurant. Barb made our evening extra special. Will definitely be back to see her!

It's always a treat when he stops by to chat at tables, and it seems like he makes such a concerted effort to do the rounds. Truly fantastic, innovative food, did the tasting menu. Lightning seemed a little low and would have loved if tables were spread out a little more (was quiet and I' was surprised the seated tables were all grouped together.) Service was spectacular (our waiter was the best you could ask for). I found the drinks a little pricey but everything else is worth the price. The oysters were to die for the and the soup served as part of the tasting menu was incredibly memorable. I highly recommend to family and friends - great portions, innovative food, and excellent service. I love that it's interesting, 'higher end' food in a more relaxed, approachable atmosphere.

Excellent experience at NeXt. The menu choices are creative and nuanced and absolutely delicious and memorable. Highly recommend the PEI oysters and the steak tartare. Service was very good and they were very flexible around adaptations for keto and gluten free. One of the best meals we have had in years!

Seated earlier than we had reserved for, which was appreciated. Appetizers were very good, Oysters were spectacular! Mains of scallops were Fantastic. Rib eye steak while tasting good was served in a jumbled mess, sliced and cold. Disappointing, not up to the other dishes standard. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive.

The food was good but overpriced for the amount we got with the entrees we ordered. My see Zara (ceasar ) I ordered was way overpriced and it was in a very small glass which I requested the ice on the side. And they didn’t fill the glass to the top with the juice. Very doubtful if we’ll ever make a return ….

This was our 4th time going to NEXT. And each time we have done the blind sharing menu. It's absolutely outstanding. My only critique is that the courses were a bit rushed at the beginning. I would have liked a little more time between, and our Server, Dale, rushed through the description of each of the incredible dishes, so that I could barely hear what was in each dish. Other than that, he was excellent, our food was out of this world.

NeXT had an incredible atmosphere as soon as you walked in. Decor was beautiful, staff were welcoming and social (we even had the head chef come to our table multiple times throughout the night to check in on us and the food), the food was presented and tasted with thorough care and inspiration. My friends and I had the blind sharing menu and it was a surreal experience that made a memorable night!

We went to NeXT for our 5th anniversary. Overall, the experience wasn’t bad, but for the price we did expect a somewhat cleaner and upscale dining experience (when you walk in, it smells fishy, table wasn’t quite clean, same with the seat). The staff also didn’t greet us right away when we entered and the coat check is self-serve. We did the sharing menu ($89/person, plus drinks). The server was fantastic, and definitely made sure we felt comfortable. Most of the food was good, yet not out of the ordinary. The main dishes definitely could have been better made; overcooked, over-salted. Ultimately, for $300, it would have made more sense going to a more customized and unique experience. We forgot to take photos of the best part of the meal (ka pow cauliflower and the risotto, both served before the coconut shrimp). Unlike Schwarzenegger, we most likely will not be back.

NeXt was nice but there were some flaws in the experience. The food was good, but the courses had nothing to do with each other... they lacked a theme and had too many different cuisines. The service felt rushed and our waitress was unable to keep up with everything very well.

We’ve been to NEXT several times and it is always fantastic but this is the first since Covid. It was amazing! We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. Not cheap but worth every cent. The steak tartare and the pea soup were stand-outs, but everything had us oohing and aahing! Service was attentive without hovering and we could talk at regular volume and be heard. My favourite restaurant, just wish the brunch was back.

Good meal but somewhat overpriced. We had a gift certificate but the main bill was over $200 and that only included 2 glasses of wine (no bottle). It is kind of a niche restaurant so I understand. As an example, 4 scallops for $34 to me is a bit high. I would recommend to a friend but would caution them about the pricing

Blind sharing menu is always a fantastic treat. Loved aharing it with first time guest. The service was amazing. Very attentive and really great that Chef Blackie comes out and chats with the patrons.
