We had solid hopes for our meal based on friends' experiences but we were underwhelmed on all aspects of our visit, apart from one server who was solid. The food was very average. We won't return.

Honestly, it was truly outstanding. Our French server was lovely, attentive, a pro! Food was delicious across all courses. We were so pleasantly surprised. Had forgotten about Nicli Edgemont. Walked in to a packed and lively space. 5 of us left happy, and each commented on our drive home how excellent our night was…and again the next morning. We’ll be back for sure.

Nicli is a gem whether you are looking for a quick bite for 2 or a big family / friends dinner. The food is consistently amazing, the service is attentive without being smothering and the ambience is inviting and relaxed. I can’t recommend them enough ❤️

Unfortunately I just feel more and more disappointed with the pizza ... my last visit the pizza was quite soggy and drenched with oil and this time my crust was burnt and pizza was completely bland.

Pizza bland with little flavour Patio had little or no shrubbery or plants. Could hear and smell garbage behind fake grass trellis Furniture was basic and not comfortable Patio lacked any ambience and very little shade on a very hot day Expensive for what we received Pizza crust undercooked First time and we are Edgemont residents Will not return or recommend to others We expect more value than what we received Very pretentious menu which doesn’t even come close to good pizza

I love Nicli and I am always excited to recommend it to friends. Unfortunately last time was a bit of a let down. Normal pizzas were not cooked up to Neapolitan standards and tasted more like bread than pizza. The gluten free pizza one of my friends had was very charred and absolutely covered in flour, never seen it like this before. A let down for sure. I can make it better at home and for the money we spent it was not worth it. I hope they can improve and bring back their quality up again.

Disappointing. I was super excited to come here after experiencing the Gastown location before Covid and having it shut down. The food came quickly but it was all cold and under cooked. I walked by the kitchen and saw the entire staff was a bunch of high school kids that probably don’t know what they are doing and we’re scared to over cook the food. The pizza was cold and soggy. Pasta looked like dog food. This is the worst Italian dinner my partner and I have ever had. We won’t be back again. We will stick to Nook. No wonder the restaurant isn’t as busy as we expected. It was pretty dirty too. Bathrooms had random hairs on the walls and it the entire place just looks like they are pinching to save so they can’t even hire a cleaner or proper cooking staff. These are things restaurants just can’t cut corners on. Weird crowd there too. Not a vibe whatsoever. Server was nice, but came across like he hated his job. Again, servers were a bunch of kids.

Good food and excellent gluten-free options but the kitchen or waiters seem to mess up the order frequently (this is at least the 6th time out of 10). Order gluten-free pizza for my kids, get traditional making them needing to wait impatiently while the rest of the table eats. Waiters are nice, but please double check your orders and what the kitchen actually gives to you.

Our meal came to $267.00 for 3 people. The wine was fine, but expensive for a half litre of Crudo $44.00. The 2 Finocchio Salads and Octavian Salad were adequate but again expensive for some lettuce/arugula and pine nuts! Nothing special for the price. The Iberica Pizza was tasty and enjoyable . However the two specials were very poor! The Gin and Tonic Salmon was a very small portion for $21.00 and it resembled raw sushi cut up with an indistinguishable sauce. The Bone Marrow Pasta was very disappointing as it was swimming in Oil. Expectation was that the bone marrow would have been more robust and perhaps a ragout. Price $24.00 and so not worth it. Our server Zoey was very friendly and on the ball, so tipped her at 20%. Upshot - only order pizza at Nicli! Our order # was 27224 if you want to look it up. Thank you, Linda Carr
