   Our waiter Sam was fantastic. He gave us his recommendations and described each dish beautifully in great detail. I almost felt like I was going to be let down by the actual after he had brought them to life with his words. We were not. Far from it actually. Everything was amazing from start to finish. The manager was wonderful as well. Highly recommend, we will be back.

   Decided to come for a nice date night with my girlfriend. The view was incredible. The drinks we tried were amazing. The server we had was very attentive, and gave good recommendations on the food. Overall, I thought the food was just okay. For how much you are paying you would think it would knock your socks off. Next time we would go for an appetizer and drinks.

   Snagged a last minute reservation for outdoor seating before sunset. This was our first experience at Nido and the hotel in general. Valet parking was super easy and appreciated. Seating wise, the outdoor patio seating was 10/10 fantastic. Couch was comfortable and the view of downtown Austin was unbeatable. Would go back solely for the view alone. Service was good! Appetizer wise we had the oysters & burrata, both were delicious. Entree wise I had the cacio e peape which was so good and a hearty portion! My fiancé had the scallops, which he said were very good, but he wouldn’t have ordered them if he’d known it only came with 3 scallops. He was definitely too hungry for that entree, and would’ve appreciated a heads up from our server. But he said the 3 scallops were delicious. Our sides of mashed potatoes and French fries were definitely tasty. Overall, highly recommend. And I would just not make our mistake of ordering an entree without knowing exactly what you’re getting. We definitely will be back!

   Service is outstanding, food was really great (grilled romaine app), and music / ambiance is elite. We have watched Nido being built from across the pedestrian bridge for 2 years and were thrilled to get in for a resi. I made the reservation for indoors which was really cool but naturally once you’re in there you’ll want to try to sit outside. The hostess was incredibly accommodating and put us on the waitlist for outside even though we were already taking up a table. I figured there was no shot but sure enough as our food dropped we were able to move outside and finish our date with the sunset, dessert, and drinks. Will be back and will bring friends when they’re in town

   From Sam (Server) to the valet, we were greeted by polite and "eager to create a memorable experience" folks. The food was exceptional, and I particularly recommend the Maitake Mushrooms and Pistachio Creme Brule. What a wonderful way to spend our 20th anniversary.

    We liked the size of the restaurant which is somewhat smallish and intimate. The decor is modern yet comfortable and inviting. The outside view is spectacular. There is free valet parking if you have a reservation for the restaurant. The food was very good. the service was very good. The only criticism would be that the server wanted us to order everything all at once to help the flow in the kitchen, which is understandable, but we don’t like to Order our food all at once we like to take our time. We made a reservation for eight people before we left, because we want our friends to enjoy it with us.

    Amazing views, food, and service! We ordered fried artichokes and burrito as appetizers along with lamb ragu and short rib. They brought us a birthday dessert, ganache with bread and we also ordered the gelato ice cream. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back!!!

    I had high hopes going into eating at Nido. I heard from many people Q how beautiful the view was, and how delicious the cocktails were, both of which I found to be true. However what I did not expect was the blatant lack of customer service or care for our well-being throughout the evening. When my husband and I were seated on the patio, we waited 15 minutes before anyone approached us for so much as a “hello” or “welcome to Nido”. We finally received water and got our drink orders taken after 20 minutes. Our waiter seemed to saunter and take his time throughout the service. It took another 15 minutes to get a glass of sparkling rose, not even a cocktail. The food came promptly, but was delivered without utensils or place settings. Throughout the night I felt as though I had walked in and the restaurant was trying to “fit us in” rather than someone who made a reservation over two weeks ago. We were an afterthought, which by itself is disappointing. But given the fact that I was paying $100/head for this meal, it’s unforgivable. The real kicker came when it started storming outside. We were not given any warning of what to do if it started raining. Our service staff was no where to be found when it started pouring all over our food. Our table rushed to pick up our plates and drinks to find cover. We were hastily told “find anywhere in the bar area”. We carried our own plates, and were not asked once if we needed anything. Nope just sit down and eat the rest of your dirty wet plates and wait for someone to remember you exist. Turns out that waiting is approximately 30 minutes. We watched our waiter walk by our table without even glancing at us, bringing over wine, food, utensils to the tables around us, while we sat there with empty glasses and dirty plates and barely any water for a half hour. Despicable. We had previously thought about enjoying another cocktail. But there was no enjoying when you feel this disrespected. Horrified by this experience.

    My friends and I have always wanted to dine here and watch the sunset while we update each other. First, we were seated inside and our waiter, Sam, was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the food. His recommendations were perfect and we had a great dining experience with him! We tried the octopus carpaccio, the At Pink Beach and martini, and all of the pasta choices. All amazing, so flavorful and enjoyable. We ended up getting dessert on the rooftop balcony to watch the sunset. It was such a beautiful and fun dining experience with my girls!

    Disappointed in our seating - as I requested window, or outdoor seating to celebrate a birthday for my fiancé. I had to ask the server for a clean plates and forks and knives, and the food runner never explained any of the dishes when they sat them down. The Cacio de Pea was not at all what was expected.

    I was looking forward to this place but was disappointed. We were seated in the bar area and the service was terrible. It took over 15 minutes for our server to come to our table, and when he did we had to ask if he was our server as he was just going to fill our water glasses and walk away. He never introduced himself, he never asked us if we wanted a drink, we had to ask him to put in our food order and when we asked questions, we were just kind of stared at which made us uncomfortable and we never ended up getting any questions answered. It was the most awkward and uncomfortable experience I have ever had. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. We ordered the blue fin tuna and scallops which were fantastic. The burrata cheese and butternut squash pasta, were ok. I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend it and have no desire to return.

    disappointed by the quality of the food , the duck breast overcooked , the pavlova discolored and not well combined , the crème brulee was not good , I really expected a lot more gastronomic details and not more of the same that you can get in Austin without paying an overprice

    Wonderful experience! Ordered several items and each one was equally delicious. Hostess was prompt and friendly and our server probably the nicest and most accomodating we have gone across recently. We frequently done out at upscale establishments and she was top notch. Very personable and knowledgeable about the dishes! Bussers and water fillers were also quick to remove plates refill cups, with a smile. Great views of downtown from the patio. If we return, we will definitely call in advance to see if we could aquire seating outside for pre dinner appetizers and or just drinks. The only negative and this one is small, is that water is served in tiny glasses which had to be refilled regularly for a heavy water drinker like myself. I probably could have requested a larger glass, but the wait staff stayed on top of refills, so it wasn't a huge issue but definitely something to note. Atmosphere was and interior esthetics were great and we had a very pleasant experience overall. They also validate your valet parking, which is a huge plus in my opinion Don't forget your cash to tip the valet though! If we lived in Austin this would definitely be one of our regular spots.

    It is a lovely spot. Up above the city. Elegant. I realize it’s Austin but the space really warrants a minor dress code. There were some patrons that were quite underdressed, shorts and crop tops as if just come in from the lake, t-shirts on men and several who did not remove their baseball and cowboy hat which was a bit disappointing. The space itself warrants a higher standard of dress. But I am sure I am old fashioned in this regard. It’s just that the room is quite beautiful and some of the young ladies and young men have forgotten how to dress in such an environment. It felt a little bit like we were in a hotel in Miami Beach. That being said these young high tech people are probably the bread and butter for restaurants like this and so the restaurant probably has to put up with this style of dress (though I do think jeans are perfectly acceptable, sleeveless shirts on men are not). I cannot fault the the restaurant for how people choose to present themselves in public. Though being from Austin, I know that if a dress code were implemented here in such an elegant room, it would not be met unfavorably. in fact, I think it might be a nice change of pace. A space such as this really does require a bit of decorum. The food was heavy on sauces, which can be a little overwhelming when you get it with each dish. But each dish was very good. The food was creative and delicious. The wait staff has some kinks to work out. We had to ask for a spoon for the Pomme purée, water was spilled on the table when our water glasses were filled and it took a while for that to be cleaned up and we had to ask for coasters or napkins underneath our cocktails so that the drinks do not sweat up on the table. I think it’s a new space and possibly it cannot support professional waiters as if it were a Michelin started restaurant in Paris, New York, or even New Orleans. That being said, the staff were attentive, polite, and very friendly. We will go back.

    The view is 100% why you want to go here. We had the tuna crudo and the salad and while the crudo was very tasty, the salad was awkward. I guess I expect to be wow'ed when food prices are at this level.
