Nido is located on the rooftop of The Loren at Lady Bird Lake - recently named by Conde Nast Traveller and Travel & Leisure Magazine as "one of the hottest hotel openings in the world." Love Nido! Went for Sunday brunch & even though I had reservations & only 3 other tables were occupied while we were there we were stuck in the back corner rather than a table w the great view. Brunch menu is limited. Had the burrata 1st & it was delicious. Had the Avocado toast & it was disappointing - almost no avocado at all - mostly arugula & the “soft egg” was essentially a slightly underdone hard boiled egg. Recommend happy hour or dinner.

It was our first time at Nido and our server Trenton was absolutely amazing. The Lamb Ragu was rich and delicious and the Beef Short Rib with pomme puree melted in your mouth. Trenton recommended a reasonably priced bottle of wine to go with our meals and he was very attentive to our table without being intrusive. I would highly recommend Nido to anyone looking to enjoy a nice meal with amazing ambiance.

La sopa buena, la ensalada 5 de 10, los ejotes 5 de 10, el pure de papa parecia chicle, los yams secos y no lo q esperaba. Y el pavo no debio ser ahumado. Si era homestyle debio ser pavo recién horneado. Sorry pero esperaba algo realmente delicioso como lo de la ultima vez q cene con uds. Delicioso. La verdad fue muy descepcionante. Perdon.

Nido is the type of restaurant that will exist due to location and views. Cuisine is not up to par for the price. The extra non-disclosed charge was tacky. The wait staff didn't know what it was for, but then explained it was for the owner's investment in planting trees in Louisiana. Would have been more reasonable to make in an opt-in choice rather than an opt-out.

Overall good experience! Our first time! We didn’t know you can only get snack from the bar after 2:30pm until 5pm and were kind of bummed as we were planning on a late lunch. We had our cappuccinos (which were great) and were on our way. The view is absolutely amazing! Took awhile to figure out the parking situation but once we did the staff from the hotel was very professional!

The food was good overall. Had eggplants, tuna and a hamachi as sides. Eggplants were a bit over fried else rest were great. Then had angnolotti and half chicken which were superb and showed chef’s skills. As dessert we had goat cheese panda cotta which was a disappointment. The cheese didn’t taste good, the cranberry jam was too sweet to appreciate. The whiskey drinks server suggested didn’t taste good so switched to Maker’s Mark. The red wine from Baja suggested was good.

Took My wife Stacy there on her birthday after our son and daughter there and they had a positive night. We were treated excellent and it turned out to be a special night, view is fantastic, oysters fresh, best eggplant appetizer ever along with crispy yet tender halibut and melt in mouth scallops. the sundae for dessert was spot on. cocktails and wine were excellent and the service was attentive and down to earth friendly. we are planning our next evening there, probably on the open air balcony for cocktails and apps. thank you, all at Nido

Las Hostess son bastante antipáticas, entiendo que la vista que ofrece el lugar es el atractivo principal, pero no se vale que te hagan esperar una hora teniendo una mesa vacía y te presionen con el tiempo, argumentando que tienen más reservas, cuando deje la mesa a la hora que me lo solicitaron, tenían la mitad de las mesas en la terraza vacías, honestamente la comida no vale lo que cuesta. El servicio de los meseros fue excelente y rescata un poco la mala experiencia.

We came here for brunch while visiting out of town. Once we were seated and given menus, we ordered right away since we knew what we wanted. After our food arrived, we were not attended to whatsoever. We kept trying to waive down waiters, they would make eye contact and keep walking. I wanted to order another drink but after being ignored for so long, we decided to leave. Finally we caught a waitress’s attention and asked for the check. I was sad to have this experience. When I first found this restaurant online a week before our trip, I was so excited! Very unfortunate experience.

The food and views are outstanding for the price. Totally amazing value. The service was sub par honestly. It seems like the host and the manager and the server were having some miscommunications. If it is raining don’t go, they close the patio and the seats with the view are only for tables of 4. Overall awesome and I will be coming back.

Appreciate they change out the menu based on seasonal items. Delicious eggplant appetizer. The butternut squash agnolotti…melts in your mouth. Cocktails are always well prepared. Will visit again!

We always sit out on the patio which has the killer Austin skyline view. Best view in town, they know it and you pay for it. The drinks and food are very expensive, and not on par with what you’d expect at such an upscale establishment. First time there I received a totally flat glass of Cava for $19 pre tax. They replaced it but comparing it to similar experiences in other lounges, high end or not, they compensated it. Not here. Service was much better this time, and I like that that they don’t bother you every five minutes and give you space, but still have an eye on you.

This was the worst by far. I can’t remember having such an awful time in a restaurant in Austin. The service was nonexistent and actually just disgusting. I asked for a glass of rosé to be split between my friend and me. The waitress accidentally poured the whole glass into my used cup and then when I told her of the mistake, she just picked up my glass and poured some of the rosé from my used glass into my friends in front of us. She expected my friend to drink now my germs. Then she threw an attitude about it. The chicken was raw. I mean hardly anyone checked on us the whole time we were there. I was just mortified. I made this reservation for a friends birthday and even out a note in my OpenTable reservation. So they knew and still the experience was just awful. No special acknowledgement of the birthday just nothing. It was AWFUL

The rooftop wrap-around balcony provides excellent views of downtown Austin. The menu offers a nice variety of choices. The service was outstanding, allowing us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed.

Very nice looking and lively place. We had a drink first in the bar and were happy to be there. Food was just ok and really small portions and prices seemed too high. Our dinner for two with a bottle of wine, no dessert, was $335. I'm glad we saw it and it's definitely nice for a drink but the food is forgettable and not worth it.

Food was all excellent, Parker House Rolls, zucchini app, all the entrees, fabulous wine, outstanding cocktails and a panna cotta like no other! Just fabulous! The service was awesome also! So glad we got to experience this our first night in Austin!
