Nola is a bit of New Orleans located in the historic Ramona Street Building in downtown Palo Alto. Our menu consists of Creole, Cajun, and Latin cuisine. New Orleans favorites, such as hurricanes, fresh oysters, gumbo, seafood jambalaya, and étouffée, are just a few of the classics you will find.

The whole experience was amazing. The food was delicious. The ambiance and outdoor seating was great but service was certainly not as expected. Our waiter was friendly but unfortunately we did not see him again after we placed the order with him. Thus no checkin about what we thought of the food or refreshing our drinks. Our oysters came out by the time we finished our meal which was unfortunate as they are best enjoyed as appetizers. We waited for around 30 minutes before finally going up and asking to be checked out

We hadn't been out to dinner since the pandemic and we had a great experience at NOLA. They followed all the protocols, the food was great, as well as the service and the Hurricanes are awesome!

Dining during COVID requires one to try new things and NOLA has made it very enjoyable. The booth seating gives you enough privacy & security while still being out in the open.

The food and the drinks were amazing as usual. Their baked oysters and the Hurricane A.KA. “Fishbowl” has never disappointed me once. Have been coming here for many years and always a great time!. Just had some issues at first but the manager handled the whole situation beautifully. Definitely recommend for any occasion especially for drinks.

I'll start by saying that this is a beautiful restaurant with a unique layout and fun design, but you are definitely paying for the atmosphere. We decided to go to Nola for my boyfriend's birthday. Our server was nice but she kept forgetting to bring things that we had asked for (water, silverware, etc.) I also wasn't impressed by the food. We ordered an app, 2 entrees, 2 cocktails, and dessert and the total was about $170. For that price, I would have hoped to have been wowed, but sadly I wasn't. Both of our meals were sub-par in my opinion (it felt like it was just thrown together) and the chocolate cake was dry and oddly salty. Nola's sister restaurant, "Milagros Latin Kitchen" is one of our favorite spots and we absolutely love the food there. We were hoping the same for Nola, but maybe they were just having an "off" night

Sat outside so ambience was about as good as it can be. Service was a bit on the slow side, I had to constantly ask for water and was we were never asked if we wanted more drinks despite our glasses being empty for a long time(it was warm). It was my 12 year old's birthday, it was never mentioned and I put it down on the reservation. I have eaten here a few times before the virus and it was never like this before. I do not think we will be going back.

I appreciate all restaurants that are open and doing their best during these crazy times! Nola is a restaurant I remember loving, but our last experience was only ok. The service was great, but the food was not as good as I remember. It may have been an off night, but because it was crowded and difficult to socially distance outside, I don't know that I'd go back until things return to normal.

Nola has always been one of my go to place. Unfortunately with COVID I could go for a while. Was a little disappointed by the reconfigured menu. How could you remove the warm Napa cabbage salad??? We were sat in the street and unfortunately the music was really loud. Loved the street vending truck vibe. Mojito was more sugar than anything and even though the tacos were amazing, they were really tiny for the price. I guess it’s Palo Alto premium. A okay experience but nothing making want to come back.

My family has been going to Nola regularly for 20+ years. Until recently we’ve only had positive things to say. Great ambiance, great service, great food. But recently they got rid of all their awesome serving staff and replaced them with “order by phone”. So now we sit at the table fiddling with our smartphones placing our orders ourselves. We have nobody to answer questions or make recommendations. Nobody checking to make sure the food came out right. On my way out I asked the manager if this was going to change back post pandemic and she told me that it wasn’t, that this is the way they are moving in the future. It is really sad and disappointing, but after 20+ years I am saying goodbye to Nola. The pay by phone experience was terrible and I am never going back.

Food is classic nola's if your familiar with it. I wish they still have beignet on their menu but they decided to pull it out. It would also be better if they have more vegetarian options. More importantly for me, it felt safe after seeing how they sanitize the tables, chairs, and umbrella stand in between customers. We were seated outdoors. They let the disinfectant soak first before they wipe.
