Loved our first experience at Nomad. Highly recommend if you are looking for great food, and fantastic ambiance.
Great brunch! Beautiful restaurant- excellent and easy service
During my visit to Vancouver, I made sure to make the (short) trek from downtown to visit my favorite brunch spot - Nomad. The Duck Benedict with the potato rosti remains one of my favorite brunch items of all time! And the Bloody Caesar is equally tasty. Thank you!
The waitress couldn’t describe what the fifa dish was to us, but did apologise for not being able to do so. Felt that the restaurant looked lovely - fab ambience - but got a bit of an underwhelming, hipster feel to the dishes. Not the best brunch I’m afraid.
Drinks were great - loved that you have a Sommelier. Food was very delicious- I had the ling cod - my partner had the gnocchi -came with half the plate bare - so he was surprised and also was not filling enough for him. I also noticed not great for vegetarians. Service was excellent - would go back but with limited menu items probably only go once a year or so. Thanks!
Nice little place. Portions in the small side.
Reasonable venue, too open to road, food quality good and fresh, waiters attentive.
It was just ok, nothing special.
Disappointed over all.
The food was amazing, and the waiter really nice and caring. The wine list was a local one, good choices!
Some of the best desserts on Main Street! The appys and entrees are a perfect size leaving you with enough room to polish off a more than reasonable size portioned dessert.
Delicious, as always
good place to have friends chat while having late breakfast. I came in with two 6 years old, staff was super friendly, but kids only want French fries and fried chicken. I will come with friends again for sure
Best cocktails in town, dealer’s choice is always so much fun’
The service was exceptional. Very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is casual in a “chic” way. The food is pricey but not out of the norm for gourmet restaurant. The uniqueness and variety of ingredients was a little more than I bargained for. A “plain” palate might not enjoy the menu here.
It was great! All three of us got the duck confit on potato. Love how it came with so much kale, instead of more potatoes.
the special for the day was on the salty side...the server was a bit too formal
Overall experience is poor. The server was not very pleasant. We follow up for the food and we asked why it was taking so long to serve and her answer was " I don't know." We asked if we could move the umbrella as the location we were seated the sun was directly towards our eyes. The server ignore our request. The food was very expensive and it was not worth the value.
Our food took a while and although I can appreciate good food even at smaller portions, some dishes were a bit shocking in size.. ;p overall it was a good experience tho!
Nice place, service was warm and friendly but we were disappointed with the food as it was quite bland and the portions were uneven in size
Good for a date night. Gluten free options. Interesting, upscale dishes in a laid-back environment.
We got fries, hanger steak, pork belly, gnocchi, and duck leg. Everything but the gnocchi was gluten free (if you're okay with fryer contamination). I recommend sharing the fries between more than two people, unless you're very hungry like we were. The sourdough gnocchi was probably my favourite, but the duck leg was surprisingly good too. Pork belly was very good, but the generous serving of beans was more than we were interested in finishing. The hanger steak was a bit disappointing in terms of flavour - at least in comparison to the other dishes. Their cauliflower is very interesting and I'm glad we got side vegetables also.
I'm sensitive to noise but found the noise level pretty reasonable considering the concrete walls and it was a busy Saturday night.
Wine & cocktails were good, and the servers frequently came around to refill our waters. Very friendly and knowledgeable service.
I went with a girlfriend for an 830 reservation and didn’t get seated until 9. We sat at the bar while we waited and bought a few delicious cocktails. Once we were seated we had pretty good service from a few different servers. We took their food recommendations and everything was delicious and well presented.
Excellent restaurant with innovative, delicious food at value prices. Highly recommend.
Delicious food and great service! We will be back for sure.
Another amazingly delicious meal served by the delightful staff. It’s always a treat to eat at Nomad.
They made an AMAZING vegan meal for me as I’d put a note on the open table reservation. All of the servers were lovely but there didn’t seem to be anyone specifically in charge of our table and so we had to wave people down a couple of times. I recommend adding the vegan option to the menu as I almost didn’t choose the restaurant because the menu on the website didn’t show anything vegan. Lovely space!
We had the rack of lamb, lingcob and pasta, the meadows duck breast, and their special which was sable fish ceviche. Everything tasted absolutely amazing! It took a little long for them to make our food but it was well worth the wait. I will definitely be coming back!!
Excellent meal, wonderful craft cocktails and very professional staff. We were all very impressed with the quality of our dinners (personally I recommend the roast duck breast). We were there for a friend's birthday dinner. Couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out; we'll all said we'd be back.
Delicious food and great ambience on a hip street but prices were a bit over priced.
Went to Nomad last night for date night with the Fiancé. Service was amazing- server (Megan) provided drink and food recommendations and we were super pleased with her recommendations. Only down fall was pricing - ie think $25 vegetarian pasta. I’ll probably still come back to try another couple of dishes- enjoyed the vibe
Great food, staff, and ambience. Very accommodating to our 1 1/2 year old as well. Looking forward to going back!
Great flavours! Easy to use online reservations service. Overall great experience. I will be back.
The menu was a decent sized. The featured was good. Our server was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and ambience was welcoming. I'd recommend my friends here :)
A must for first dates in Vancouver! Excellent food, and solid drink menu. Bartenders are witty and service staff professional. A true gem of Vancouver!
This is our 2nd time here and once again, everything and everyone was on point. We invited friends to dine with us this time and nobody left disappointed. The cocktails are fun and creative and the food was fresh and thoughtful. Thankyou again fora lovely night.
If anything, you have to come here for the fantastic cocktails!
Food was adequate but we complained about one entree as it was not prepared properly and the chef offered 1/2 off
Staff were indifferent and unaware of inappropriate actions. Tables are tight so it is hard for staff to move between tables so they need to be aware of how their body movements interfere with patrons next to or behind them. When one of our guests complained about a server literally bending over and into his face - she seemed unconcerned.
No one smiled as we came in and the hostess hardly said hello before she had a set piece on how we had the table for only 2 hours - not welcoming. The server who took our order was polite and fairly efficient but this isn't a cheap quick eatery and indifferent service or just adequate service is annoying.
won't go back as there is too much choice of restaurants around to do that. out of 4 meals we felt one was not worth the money and poorly prepared, two were ok to good but nothing was exceptional in spite of the stated premise of the restaurant.
Great neighbourhood spot. Very good food and service.
Great little spot on Main. They are very flexible in accommodating food allergies, and our meal was delicious. The staff were friendly, but not overbearing. Overall we really enjoyed the experience, and will visit again.
We loved our dining experience. The food was beautifully plated and everything was delicious. The service was lovely and everything was perfectly timed and respected the leisurely experience we were looking for and the atmosphere was intimate and comfortable.
So glad to have had the Nomad experience and hopefully will be back soon.
Wonderful food with the best eggs ever...good friendly service
