All of the food was good. Clams were fantastic. Attentive service and a nice place for a date.
We love Nonna D’s and will definitely return. Food is great - I had the baked cavatelli with Vodka sauce and the hubs had the Lasagna. Our waiter, Vince, was awesome (as always!) if you haven’t been, give it a try as you won’t be disappointed.
My original experience was ok.
This second experience was not the same.
I love to eat but my salmon was not fresh.
I tried to eat as much as I could, but could not.
I hope that the quality of food for other guest is better than mine.
Growth is key.
Great food, great service. We have been back several times.
This was our first visit to Nonna D's and we will definitely return. The Rigatoni with Tomato Vodka sauce was phenomenal as was the stuffed porkchop. You need to visit this restaurant if you are looking for a great meal at a great price!
Awesome food & experience provided by Matt!!
Had another fabulous meal tonight... baked clams and mussels are always delicious. Pasta is always on point as well as the cocktails. You cannot leave without having a cannoli!! The waitstaff is fantastic. Nonna D’s never disappoints!!
Food was fresh and delish and our server was very attentive!
I didn’t like the screens/bar part of that restaurant. I felt like the mix of bar and good quality Italian restaurant was not a great combo. When we’re back, we’ll choose another room (which wasn’t offered to us then).
This is the Gold Standard that all others should be measured against. Wonderful service, food was outstanding and best of all every dish came out of the kitchen perfectly.
It was our second time there ( with my parents this time) and they loved it too! We will definitely be back. We had a new server there and she was amazing! Thank you, Ruth for being such a sweet and thoughtful server. We hope to see you there again!
So many bad things about this place...
-Playing Christmas music in May... very strange
-Server told us the dish came with pasta made from scratch but then found out that she charged us a $6 upcharge for pasta made from scratch
-Restaurant was pretty much empty and entrees took a long time to come out
-Server was not knowledgeable of the menu
-Bruschetta was BURNT and COLD
-Entrees were very SALTY
Overall this place was HORRIBLE!!! Avoid...Avoid...Avoid!!!!
We will never return here again!!!
We were enticed to drive to Berwyn (30+ minutes) on a weeknight by the 1000 points, but the drive was worth it. The food was overall very good as reviews indicated. We shared a sausage, pepper and potato appetizer that was large enough for a meal. We each had the house salad with the house dressing--nothing special and a bit bitter. The bread was dry and the crust was hard, a disappointment as good Italian bread is something to look forward to. The Parmesan was tasteless and in a shaker, oil was just okay. My friend's lasagna was many layers and he said it was quite tasty--he took half home. My spinach ravioli was plump and moist with an excellent chunky marinara sauce. Wines were ho hum. We split a good, but not excellent cannoli. They had regular but no decaf coffee. Weird.
We took home leftovers, which a very efficient bus boy packaged, but when we got home we discovered that rather than the sausage appetizer, he had sent us the remains of my limp salad and the sausage was nowhere to be found. Disappointing!
Service was uneven, with neither waiter seeming too enthusiastic nor familiar with the menu or Italian food in general, but the overall good food made up for it. The restaurant was not busy, but had a steady stream of patrons and we enjoyed our meal. Prices were totally reasonable and we agreed we would give it another try.
It was the first time for my husband and I to come here. From the time we entered to the time we left, it was such a great dining experience. It's an authentic Italian gem!! We will definitely come back soon!! It was perfect for our Saturday night dinner!
We had a great experience our waiter Vince did an excellent job. Our food was outstanding. My dad have the pork chop oreganata, my mom the salmone all nonna, and I had the rigatoni & vodka sauce. The spamoni was covered in hard chocolate
Great egg plant and great lasagna
We all live nearby and we're very glad to find a great restaurant in the neighborhood. We will definitely be back.
Our food was and the service was great. I had the Lasagna it was out of this world. My friend had the Salmon it was very good and a big portion. Very clean and has a parking lot and valet.
We will go back soon.
Fantastic Italian food and fantastic service. Our party of 12 (from children to grandparents) really enjoyed the whole evening. Our only regret was that we were so satisfied and stuffed that we didn’t have room for dessert. We are looking forward to visiting again!
The food was delicious I would highly recommend restaurant
The food was delicious, affordable and plentiful! The service by Roman was outstanding, attentive and courteous.
I'm never disappointed! Nonna D's is a neighborhood gem and my go to for Italian. Calamari Al Nonna is better than any I had during my trip to Italy! I love this place!
Great food and service!!! A definitely come back to restaurant. Best of Berwyn!!
I have to say, the food was really good.
I live up north and didn't want to deal with downtown traffic so I decided to take a drive to Berwyn and it was Definetly worth it. Me and my wife will Definetly go back very very soon.
Ate here Saturday and Sunday! My Italian mother loves the pasta! We'll definitely be back.
A hidden gem.
Great food - compliments to the chef! Roman also provided exceptional service! Wonderful way to celebrate my moms birthday. Can’t wait to eat our leftovers and come back for more.
We were pleasantly surprised. Didn't know what to expect. The place is fairly nicely done. Decent menu, food was yummy, and prices were reasonable. Planning on going back.
Good value. Typical Italian dishes. Some better than others. The calamari was really over Cooked. Attentive service.
We enjoyed our dinner with friends at Nonna D's. The food is very scrumptious and the portions are ample. The server was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant for a relaxing, yummy, reasonably-priced meal!
The prompt service and curtious staff made it a memorable dinner. The food was delicious and the right portions served.
We were treated well tho a few little mistakes on the drink orders but they did not charge us.
Good food & service.
Our dinner was excellent! Fish was fresh, pasta was tasty and pizza was outstanding! Our waiter was great - I'd highly recommend this restaurant. We plan on returning.
Great food and attentive service definitely make Nonna D’s a neighborhood gem!
Fantastic meal and drinks, once again!! Nonna D’s does not disappoint. Calamari & Sausage, Peppers, & Potatoes for appetizers. Eggplant Parmigiana & Chicken Parmigiana for dinner. The Clam Chowder was excellent. Red Sparkling Moscato is delicious. Highly recommend for a nice night out. Very reasonable prices and generous portions.
While the food was very good - the only exception being the less than fresh olive oil with the bread - we had an experience ruined the overall dinner for us. The wine we originally ordered ($30/bottle) was unavailable, so we he waiter recommended another that was “a few dollars more”. When it came, it was fine, and I noticed it was the maker/brand that was listed on the menu for $40, so that seemed reasonable. I ordered the Rigatoni with vodka sauce and asked about adding spinach and mushrooms to it. The dish (with shrimp) was listed on the menu for $17.
When the bill came, the wine was charged at $60 for the bottle, and we complained to the waiter. He very quickly offered to take $20 off. Then when he brought the adjusted bill back, he said it that he took off $25. At that point, I review the bill carefully and I noticed that we were charged $10 additional for a he spinach and mushrooms on my pasta. On th menu each ingredient was $1 extra when added to a pizza. At this point, we just felt taken advantage of, but we’re taking a friend out for her birthday, so we didn’t complain again.
Later I called, because it really bugged us. I talked to the manager and he blamed the waiter. He apologized and said he told the waiter to take off $25 for the wine. He offered to give us a free appetizer or dessert next time, but I don’t think we’ll go back again.
$5.00 martinis, reasonably priced pastas and nicely decorated. Service unfortunately was poor. I think it was the server’s first day. We never got the bread, parm and oil that other tables did. We asked if there were specials or if he could make a recommendation and he said no.Even though it wasn’t crowded (3 other tables but they had a different server), had to track him down to order another round of martinis. We were there celebrating a birthday but he brought us the check without asking if we wanted dessert or coffee. At that point, we decided we should just skip dessert. Maybe it was just an off night.
The nonna’s linguine was outstanding! The atmosphere was comfortable, romantic and fun at the same time. Great food!
We enjoyed a pleasant meal with great flavors in traditional dishes! The service was attentive and the portions were ample. We will definitely return!
the service was bad but it was so bad it turned comical and we didn't have a two drink min. waiter was new I guess but the food was great I would try again on food only but go in knowing I've had bad service before and could happen again. it also took 2 days to get my open table points as im not sure they knew how to record me in I had to call open ta le about same
Vince our server was attentive, solicitous and kind. The food was ample and comforting. The complimentary appetizer was delicious. The value was incredible. All in all, a delightful experience! We will definitely return.
