   Honestly, I was disappointed. I had heard nice things about the ambiance and value. It was small and cramped. Our booth seat had a large rip with the foam coming out. It said it overlooked Faneuil Hall. Unless we were sitting in the wrong section, no. It looked out on an intersection. The photos on line were much nicer than what was reality. The food was just okay. It cost $120 for 4 of us and all we had was 2 egg dishes, french toast, waffles and coffee. No alcohol. Service was just alright. We had to wait 15 min before being able to get the servers attention for syrup which was never brought to the table. I really wouldn't recommend, nor would I rush back. OH and the restroom is in the lobby of the hotel. That would be fine if the staff told you that. Two people told us "go straight down here and turn right". No you leave the restaurant, cross the lobby to the other side, but remember to grab a key from the front desk.

   The restaurant seemed worn. Booths had springs broken, upholstery cracked and split. Everything was clean though. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. Food was delicious.

   Anniversary. Service very slow was ignored for at least 7 minutes. Wasn’t very busy over priced cofee is extra with a high priced breakfast

   This restaurant is situated right in the heart of Boston in the Bostonian hotel. It may not seem like much but the service, food, and affordability were unmatched! I do have to say that they placed an automatic 20% tip on the bill, so watch out for that

   It was freezing cold in the restaurant and they had space heaters. For what we paid, you would think that you would’ve been able to dine without your jacket on. Food was good.

   Food is basically low level Hotel Bostonian grade. Diner dive at best. Waffles were basically from a frozen box, hard and crusty, dense in the middle. Fake Syrup was thick like honey was added to make it stretchy and stringy. Being from the north syrup does not come like that. Dinning area was a conference room presentation area - overall very sad experience.

   I thought I was making a reservation for the actual restaurant on the main floor of the lobby, but turns out this became a bait and switch for their 4th floor ballroom dinning experience…which was absolutely terrible. My boyfriends Benedict was fine, but I got a plain old American Breakfast and my eggs were cold, toast was cold, bacon was so hard and crusty there was no way it was made even this week, and the potatoes were hard and gross. The server wasn’t even around enough for us to resolve the issue immediately and I ended up being so frustrated I went back to our room while he settled up the bill. The manager did not even fully comp my meal even tho I wasn’t able to eat a single bite because it was all cold and inedible. My boyfriend paid over $50 for food we didn’t even eat and a 20% gratuity was already included on top of that. We were both incredibly dissatisfied, I wish I had made a brunch reservation literally anywhere else in Boston and it wouldn’t have ruined my Valentine’s Day stay at the Bostonian. My boyfriend has gotten dinner inside the actual restaurant before and said that it was lovely so we are not sure what was going on at this time and why we weren’t even sat in the restaurant we made a reservation for. I wish I cancelled as soon as we walked in and never wasted our money.

   We went for a brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday before we went to a show later in town. Our waitress was wonderful! Very attentive and prompt! The food was delicious! The drinks were delicious! Over all it was a great experience and we will definitely go back next time we are in town!

    Server was awesome and so were other staff. Food was amazing! Comfortable booth seating, beautiful restaurant. Only weird thing was the bathrooms being accessible by key only and waiting in hotel line to obtain key. Otherwise restaurant was perfect!

    It was New Year's Eve so for $50 We got a three-course meal and the food was surprisingly excellent. However there didn't seem to be a designated hostess station so we were all confused as to where we went to check in. And it seems like the restaurant/ bar was an afterthought and squeezed onto the first floor corner. The decor seemed very outdated in '80sish wooden.

    Arrived and could not find the host and they didn’t have our reservation. Nice table. We had our menus less than 3 minutes before the waiter wanted to take our order. He did not take a drink order first. When asked about the specials the waiter did not know. We order the lamb special as rare and it came well done with wilted greens. Couldn’t find kids menus so we showed the waiter on their web site via our phones. Kid’s burgers with no cheese arrive with cheese which we had to send back. They never got their deserts. Two other entrees were fine. A couple at a table next to us when we arrived left because their food never arrived. Waiter spent inordinate amount of time trying to figure out how to use the order entry machine. Noted many customers receiving slow service. The owner or manager was clueless just running around glad handing customers. Worst dining experience in past five years

    The breakfast was great and the coffee was delicious. They seemed a little all over the place and it felt hectic getting seated. Once we were seated though the service was great. I’m not sure if they inform you of it or not but there was an automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill.

    I was really hoping to enjoy this restaurant with my team of four. Though the wait staff tried, they were quite understaffed and as a result service was quite slow. For dinner, I had hoped to have the lobster roll, but that and several other choices on an already limited menu were not available. Two of us ordered the Steak and Frites (medium rare) and it was as tough as leather. The other two in our party were happy with their meals. I understand that staffing issues are a challenge everywhere, but there was no excuse for the lack of menu options or poor quality of food. For the price you pay and the many dining options available in Boston I would have expected better.

    We came here for our last breakfast in Boston after a 4 day trip. Our server Juliana was incredible, very gracious and prompt. When she found out we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary she surprised us with champagne and pastries which was a very nice surprise. The chicken and waffles was great and the chicken was moist and very well seasoned. My husband had the eggs combo with a pancake and the eggs came out perfectly over-medium. This was a really nice day to end our trip and when we visit Boston we will absolutely come back.

    It was ok, the menu had a specific cut off time for breakfast, I even stated to the waitress that I just realized they stopped serving breakfast at 12, it was 12:18 at the time, for her to mistake my order of CRAB cakes for PANCAKES, in which I was wondering why she gave me syrup and asked minutes before if I wanted Banana, some other flavor or plain. I thought maybe they had some new way of making crab cakes lol, nonetheless I chose plain. Minutes after I hear another waiter, ask news guests who had just been seated if they were interested in breakfast or lunch, that was a bit frustrating seeing as how I went there specifically for that! I chose instead clam chowder, trusting it would be as scrumptious as anywhere else I’ve gotten it, but NO! Watery and unseasonsed to say the least, I was starving from the gym and made the best of it. The crab cakes took a bit longer too come out since I got pancakes by accident first. When they did, they were actually amazing!!! I just expected a lil bit more service wise, and things would have went a lot smoother! Gotta admit, a hungry guy just leaving the gym, moodiness is at an all time high. Maybe I’m just picky, I’d maybe try to attend on a weekend, I assumed because it was slow, service would be too notch, but I’d like to try the brunch and give the service a try again.

    Food was amazing but service was ridiculously slow. We were the only people in the restaurant for a good part of our evening. We made reservations ahead of time. Automatic 20% gratuity on all checks :( - with good service, this would t be a problem at all, but considering it took us 3 hours from start to finish, it wasn’t deserved. Food came out in chunks, all the pasta, then the chicken dishes, then the steaks; with at least 10-15 minutes in between. Checks came out one at a time after we each had to ask repeatedly for them. Too bad, because food was delicious!
