It was hard to believe the reviews that were on Open Table before we visited. It was an excellent dining experience. The steak was outstanding. The service mid west friendly caring. Management discussed the extensive wine list. Paul Hobbs Chardonnay 19 for $88, need I say more? If you are ever in North Platte NE stop there.

North 40 Chophouse was one of those great finds. Traveling across the country by auto it can be difficult to find good restaurants. I located N. 40 Chophouse on Open Table and it had great reviews so I gave it a shot. Wow! We were most impressed! The food was delicious and the drinks and service were outstanding. The staff made us feel right at home. They have a piano bar (which we love) and we started there with drinks. The piano man was awesome and had played for years on the Holland America Lines ships. He sang our every request and was amazing. The drinks were delicious! Try the Old Fashioned! We ordered a dry aged Porterhouse steak. Out of this world. My wife and I shared and we still ate too much! She had a tomato salad. The bread was homemade and hot out of the oven. Covered in butter and salt. Whoa! Outstanding!! I would come back to North Platte, NE just to eat here.

What a fabulous restaurant and a true gem in an unlikely location. Twice a year we go from the East Coast and we always stop here. This is truly a gourmet restaurant believable typical Ca wine and French and Italian also. of course this is a steakhouse and the steaks are spectacular and so are all of the other dishes they have any kind of steak sauce you want. People Literally come from Colorado and the Midwest so don’t miss it.

A group of us came to North40 Chophouse to celebrate my wifes' birthday. Both our server Jen, and the dining Manager (and Sommelier) Jennifer were terrific. The course selections that they made for us were amazing! Everything was so good. We came from Chicago and Denver to North40 for this evening and it was fabulous. Honestly, it was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Thank you to Alex, Dan, Terri, and both Jens for making this a night we will always remember. You guys rock! We will be back... we guarantee.

My husband and I went to the North 40 Chophouse for our anniversay. Best decision ever. We did have a glowing recommendation from a friend. So this is where we went. It was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Great lighting, the table setting was perfect. Just a great atmosphere. This restaurant felt like a 5 star, fancy restaurant, without being one, if that makes sense. Very relaxing and very special. The staff was very attentive; but not lingering. No rushing at all. Very friendly. Awesome people! When the dishes arrived it was nothing short of a masterpiece. It was clear all dishes from soups, to the main course, to the dessert, were all crafted with precision, passion, and talent. We had an unforgettable dining experience and can not wait to return!!! The bacon appetizer is easily the best bacon I've ever eaten in my 60+ years of eating bacon. Do not miss it. There were four of us and we had two filets, salmon and a hamburger. Everyone raved about their food. Be sure and get the mashed potatoes. Fantastic. As you might expect this place has a fantastic wine cellar. Go prepared for greatness.
