My husband and I's favorite restaurant in the area. It's always outstanding. The attention to detail and the level of the quality of the food is unmatched in Louisville. LOVE this place. The staff is awesome, decor is beautiful and food is 10/10.

The restaurant upon first entering is very cool and has a hip vibe. If you don't have a reservation in a barrel or are willing to sit at the bar I would skip. I didn't think menu was great but that is personal opinion. Their wine list is small but their prices were very reasonable.

It’d been a while since dining here. My initial experience was very good but it took a bit to return. This dining experience was exceptional. We were fortunate enough to be offered a barrel booth after they had a cancellation and it was just an excellent seat. We started with cocktails which were inventive , delicious and beautiful. We had a sampling of raw and baked oysters which were the best I’ve had in Louisville. All of our shareable and entrees were excellent. The porchetta special was one of the best dishes I’ve had in some time. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Brad, the head of bar services, stopped by and gave us some insight on the restaurant and was a delight. This is one of the best restaurants in town and I’ll be returning soon and taking everyone I know.

What a fantastic dining experience! From sitting in the giant bourbon barrels, to being served the most interesting and delightful cocktails from Angie to the extraordinary food -- it was yet another foodie find in Louisville. This chef is going places...if I lived here it would be in my top 5

First time trying this place and I was blown away! Food was outstanding and the drinks were perfection. Service staff was friendly, attentive and very efficient. Owners were active and ensuring customer satisfaction. Highly recommend.

Absolutely LOVED this restaurant. I’d heard great reviews of this restaurant but was a little hesitant as I am not a huge Creole food fan. However, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The food has a lot of Southern influence along with a some Creole, so it was not only delicious but also very interesting. We will definitely go back. Additionally, the host along with our waitress were both very attentive, helpful and just plain nice. We enjoyed them so much. And, to top the evening off, the chef stopped by our table and visited for a few minutes. Such a nice young man and a wonderful chef. The booths inside the large bourbon barrels truly helped muffle the noise level so that was not an issue, which unfortunately, it is for most restaurants in Louisville. My advice: “Run don’t walk to dine at North of Bourbon”.

Never disappoints! Absolutely the best service and sparkling but not fussy ambiance with simply outstanding food - the po' boy at lunch unmatched outside of NOLA!!!! Recommend lunch when more laid back, evenings more crowded but fun. The drinks are top-notch! Make a reservation and enjoy!

From the creative and effervescent cocktails to the interestingly composed and artfully flavored food, our experience at North of Bourbon was truly memorable. The true pièce de résistance of our evening was our world class bartender and server Lauren - her attentiveness, attention to detail, perfect coursing, and ability to connect with her guests, is truly unmatched.

I'm from Cajun country (far southeast Texas, just over the Sabine River from Louisiana) and the boudin balls are delicious -- as good as mine -- as was the crab rice. And, I learned about cala which I'd never heard of before. This delectable dessert is soooo good! The cost is a bit on the pricey side - this is definitely a special-occasion, once-in-awhile place for me - but the food and atmosphere are definitely worth it!

The food was terribly salty. For what it was very inexpensive food they sure don't give you very much. My gumbo had a few threads of chicken a couple slices of andouille sausage and some okra ends in a sad brown puddle that was billed as a reux... I wouldn't serve that to my guests. The catfish was oily and not well fried. I mean it was embarrassing. A waste of money. Not Cajun Creole at all.

We dined on a Tuesday at 5 so the noise level was very minimal. We were also able to sit in one of the bourbon tables. The server, Bri was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was very delicious. We had the Wedge and Ceasar salads to start and the Boudin Balls, yummy! My husband had the Crab Rice Stuffing which he enjoyed and we shared the Cheese Grits and Wedges. Both very delicious.

North of Bourbon never disappoints! The staff is friendly and welcoming! Our servers knowledge of the specials and the menu were impressive. She gave great food and drink suggestions. We met friends there and it was their first time visiting North. By the time dinner was over and the drinks were done, they were already planning another visit to enjoy the food, service and ambiance again! As always well done North of Bourbon!

Every item our group of 6 ordered was exquisite. We've lived in the Mississippi Delta region and loved the cuisine. We all agreed that Chef Weeks' creations were, and I quote, "Better than the originals." I especially loved the Mirliton Caesar Salad.
