Meal and service were excellent. There was a big group in the screened porch area that got louder as they had drinks. That’s not the problem of the restaurant though.

John and Carol and team always do a fantastic job. Love the menu and specials they bring about. The food is absolutely next level regardless of what you choose. I have had most of the entrees and sides and I really don't see how you could go wrong. Wonderful people and phenomenal food= winning combination!

Wonderful food choices including items such as Duck & Beef Wellington which you don’t see commonly. Good portion sizes & beautifully displayed on plate. Excellent service. Manager & Host at check-in stand were both checking in and making sure all was running smoothly on a Tuesday night.

This was my second visit to Northside Bistro and it was vastly different from my first visit which was phenomenal. We ordered the brussel sprouts and brie as an appetizer and with my first bite I realized a piece of hair was cooked into the app. I hate I discovered this in my mouth. It took a while for the waiter to come back to the table for me to let him know what happened and show him the hair. He apologized and asked if we wanted to order another one. I requested he take it off the ticket. I was a little surprised that the manager didn’t stop by to apologize. In all honesty I doubt the waiter said anything because it was clear from his behavior he didn’t see what the big deal was.

Another great meal at Northside. We had the stuffed mushrooms and they were delicious! The beef and cheddar dumplings were great as well. For an entree we split the scallop pasta dish and it was fabulous. There was a generous portion of scallops and they were large and cooked to perfection. Northside has become our new favorite North Raleigh restaurant.

Outstanding service, reservation was ready upon arrival. Two apps, 3 drinks, 2 entrees, 2 desserts for $200….great value. Food was very good. We sat in the bar area at a high-top table. Only minor “dislike” was the techno-club type music that was played in the background. Just didn’t seem to vibe with the atmosphere of this restaurant. Obviously, that is personal taste & others may like it. It won’t stop us from returning, however. Very good overall. Scallops were delicious as was the meatball appetizer.

Love the food, location and the people. The scallops were wonderful. The place was tastefully decorated for the season and dinner was great. The underlying techno music/edm beat that seemed to repeat every 3 minutes was distracting and took away from the meal. Music was different last time. I would appeal to get something more to the classy restaurant this is, and less like a club. Love the restaurant and will return.

Excellent in every way. We have never had a bad meal here and this time was no exception. The meatballs are insanely good. Short ribs and grits were to die for as was my Halibut special. Service was as good as the food. Highly recommend.

Northside Bistro is a hidden gem. Every course we had was excellent. The chef came and talked to us and recommended dishes based on our preferences. The Beef Wellington was perfection.

Food was awesome, service fantastic. The only complaint I have is that we were seated right in front of the door, so every time someone went in or out, we were blasted with cold air from outside.

I’d call Northside Bistro and Cocktails a “Neighborhood Gem” but it’s Better and More Well Know than that ! Dinner last night was Awesome and paired with wonderful wine. Service prompt and professional without being omnipresent and able to. offer good insights to the menu, wines and especially desserts! The atmosphere was festive and yet great for ‘Date Night’. Totally enjoyable all around !

I think it was an off night. Food for the most part was good as usual (mushrooms and Brie Brussels app are delicious) but 2 salmon dishes were really undercooked. When one was to be reheated, it was taken and it never returned. Getting drinks was slow. Had to ask for my second drink twice. After apps were ordered/served and the waiter returned twice we had to tell him we were ready to order main course. And we were never offered bread at all. It was a busy night, but for the price we’re willing to pay for the experience, details should be attended to a little better.

It was our first time there, we were celebrating our anniversary. from the time we walked in, we were greeted, walk to our table, one time, and we had a reservation. Our waiter. Ike was wonderful. He greeted us and took care of us with top-notch service. The food was excellent above our expectations. We will definitely come back.!

The pork osso buco was extremely tender and fell right off the bone. The sauce and diced veggies were tasty and complimentory. Servings are sizable for hearty eaters. Great wine list. Love the restaurant ambiance. Small town neighborhood feel with extraordinary wait service.

Second time here but brought friends this time. Service still impeccable but food not up to our first visit. In fact found out after the fact that the pork dish was almost inedible because of too much salt. (wished I knew this - would have sent it back or at least pointed it out). Will return - just not as enthusiastically.
