NYAJ is a favorite of ours. We try different things and are never disappointed. From the appetizers to the desserts, always good. And the best part is the dinner starts with their homemade focaccia bread and oil dip.

I use to love eating at Not Your Average Joe’s. But since the pandemic the menu is smaller and the food is just not the way it use to be the fish and chips was more French fries then fish. You only got two small pieces of fish and they tasted frozen. The lobster fresh roll could have been good but because they were not made correctly the rolls fell apart in our hands. My jambalaya tasted like rice pilaf with tomato sauce. It did have plenty of shrimp in this dish. Our dishes came out warm not hot. Food was disappointing but service was wonderful.

High top in bar area for 3 Moms on Mother’s Day and 4 children under 10 was perfect. Our noise level with the kids did not disrupt other diners! All relaxed and having fun!

Steak tips were ordered "rare" and came out "well done" so had to be redone. Potatoes with another order were totally cold. Server was very pleasant and efficient.

The booth was filthy, the food came out cold, the food was incorrect and had hair in it and in conclusion was not worth the money. Its equivalent to the 99 in terms of food (honestly the 99is better) but way more expensive.

When I arrived and said I have a reservation at 1pm, the girl quickly barked back and said “no, it’s at 2:30 but luckily we can still seat you.” Server was very nice but needed to get his attention to order, to RE order drinks and to ask for the bill.

Excellent EXCEPT; lobster Ravi was not good. Tasted old:freezer burn. Hardly any lobster the waitress was very understanding and accommodating. I offered to remove it from the bill and and or replace it with something else.

We were a party of three there for lunch. Two of us ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup and one got a turkey club. The food was tasty and well prepared. The waitress wasn’t that pleasant, and she was dressed somewhat sloppily. The bathroom was a mess. The atmosphere in the restaurant wasn’t warm and cozy. We had to keep our coats on our shoulders for the whole meal. We were disappointed.

Server was clearly serving too many tables - had hard time balancing priorities. Served 3 out of 4 our meals and moved on to another table to deliver drinks and take orders before delivering 4th meal which we could see was prepared and waiting. Well intentioned but not effective - bread was delivered at same time as meals.

Best experience since pandemic. We tried twice since 2020 and nearly gave up on one of our favorites because of poor quality food, menu and service. we decided to give it one more try. So glad we did. Nachos perfect. my crispy chicken salad was outstanding. juicy chicken !!! My wife changed the Cobb salad to add shrimp and was perfect. Katherine was outstanding server! Ingrrfuents fresh! the best part of my night was the non alcoholic mule. ginger, rosemary, pomegranate juice, citrus and ginger beer.

Service was excellent, food not so great. My husband’s jambalaya had little flavor and mealy pre frozen shrimp. My sirloin tips dinner was over cooked and really tough and chewy meat. The clam chowder app I had was way too thick (lumpy, not like chowder), but overall tasted good. I ordered a glass of wine (rose bubbles) that was flat. We will not be back.

I ordered Herb Encrusted Haddock which I have had in the past. The haddock was extremely thin and topped with a very thin coating not encrusted. The side dishes of broccoli and mashed potatoes were good.

Haven’t eaten at a Not Your Average Joes in a number of years and thought we would check them out for a last minute dinner. Overall, just a poor experience…low quality food, meh service, and too expensive for what you get. Don’t have a problem paying for quality, this was not it.

The waitresses ( 1 experienced,1 trainee, both with names starting with “J”) were outstanding. They cheerfully checked about a possible substitution and provided my accommodation. The Octoberfest menu was great! The portions were huge. We both had enough to take home for another meal.

The table and booth benches were not the cleanest and there was food on the floor. My pork schnitzel dinner was ok but dry. Needed gravy. The other meal……chicken and shrimp bowl……was tasteless. We were disappointed as we usually have a good meal.

I got the haddock for the first time. It was coated in delicious crumbs and cooked perfectly. Crispy broccoli and green beans were my sides. My husband's burger with sweet potato fries were delicious. The bread that is served when you sit down is a great start to a great meal. Cat, our server , is fabulous. She knows just what we likes and takes great care of us with a big smile.

Hadn’t seen a dear friend (who grew up in the area) since 2017, so he suggested your restaurant. Lovely service from a wonderful waitress (who was also training somewhat at the same time) who didn’t hover, even though the restaurant wasn’t terribly busy. She gave us our space, checking in on us only when her superb “spider-senses” told her we needed another few rounds of drinks as well as dinner. All in all, a lovely night spent with a dear friend and made for the better by the great service, solid food and decent drinks. (I still hate whatever rule that there is that wouldn’t allow her to serve me a double.) But again, lovely all in all.
