Great happy hour!
I love the Oak & Cru. We always bring our guests. We love the patio. The food selection is great. I have not had a meal I did not like. Over the past 2 months we have been to the Oak & Cru 6 times. My last couple of visits have been disappointing because the music is getting louder and competing with all the customers yelling trying to hear each other. I expect that from Cactus Club. I like dining at Oak & Cru because we did not have to yell at each to hear ourselves. Sometime in the last few visits that comfort has been over looked by the Managent.
The prices are not for the faint of heart. Very expensive and rather small portions served up. The taste though of the meals was amazing. Danielle is an excellent server and if you are lucky enough to be seated in her section, you will have a wonderful experience. Danielle is very attentive and knows how to serve.
Beautiful views! Wonderful salads. Expensive!!! It was very noisy- music could be turned down
Very good service and decent food. The patio has a very nice ambience. In terms of value, we had average food at an above average price.
The server was amazing. When our meals arrived we had to request so many things. Our food got cold while we waited. Salt, pepper, ketchup, lemon and tartar sauce for fish and chips. These items should arrive with your food. Not 10 minutes later.
The server was great. The kitchen should take note of the accompaniments. Perhaps bring them out ahead or with the food.
Very poor menu selection. Should have more local wines.
Very enjoyable dining experience in the Delta Hotel. Great service, attentive but not intrusive. Best salad I had while in the Okanagan, simple but great house made dressing. Accommodating to dietary restrictions of celiac and food allergies. Happy Hour prices good for location. Husband had "Very good" Pork belly. Satay chicken skewer share plate was generous, priced for serving size. Definitely will be back on our next visit to Kelowna. Enjoyed the dining as much as the outdoor patio experience with a fabulous view.
The food, place and service was really awesome. Gonna be back here for sure! :)
Very poor experience overall. I would not recommend this place when there are so many better options around the area. Service was very poor right from the host. Food was disappointing. Overall a very poor experience.
Good place to have a business meeting. Would recommend to others for it.
Super super slow service but everything else great
Wow, The Chef's special was halibut with peach butter and grilled veggies, the food was impeccable! AND Chef totally accommodated my nightshade intolerence. On this eve the patio was divine!
Friends from out of town visiting. Could not sit on the patio due to potential weather (rain). Service was slow. Did not get any service for close to 1/2 hour. Food was good.
Nice view from the outside deck. It was very hot even with the large umbrellas. They have misters only by the windows. They have nice planters around the outer edge of their deck. Our waitress was very nice. We had pizza, seafood linguine and quinoa bowl with shrimp all where very good and portions were good. Pizza could use a little more sausage on it and could have more than 4 shrimp with quinoa bowl
Good experience for our first time going there.
Amazing view, amazing service, amazing patio and amazing food. I had the tenderloin and it was the best I've ever had, lots of veg came with it too.
The first time we dined here the food was good and the restaurant was quiet. The service seemed mediocre. We could never find our server and when he did come over he seemed very unhappy to be there. The second we dined was for a late dinner to enjoy the sunset cause the restaurant does have a nice patio with the view of the water and mountains. We had reserved a table in advanced and mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary so if possible a nice quiet table on the patio. When we got their the server was about to take us outside when someone told her no more seating on the patio due to some ‘unknown reason’’. She apologized and suggested a table by the window inside. Me and my husband said “no problem”. Right after we sat, another server and the manager had sat 2 parties on the patio. So we asked the hostess what was with the confusion after she told us no more seating on the patio. She offered to move us but vanished in the meantime and over comes the manager with a very POOR excuse about noise restrictions. Which made no sense cause we were a party of 2 and they had sat 2 parties of 6 outside after us. I would recommend taking the food to go cause the service there horrible!
If you are looking for great food, this is not the place. It is more of a hang out for drinks. I have been to many fine dining restaurants and/or restaurants that serve excellent food, however this is place is not one of them. I would not recommend this place for the food, but sure have a drink at the outdoor patio.
The hostess asked if we preferred sun or shade before seating us out on the patio. We were giving a great table where we enjoyed a beautiful view of Lake Okanagan. The salads we chose were fresh and delicious and the wine was reasonably priced. One of our party had an omelette which was perfectly prepared and served with a crisp salad. Portions were generous.
Service was well timed and friendly.
Great spot with a really nice menu. It’s on the higher side price wise and an get very loud. If you have any allergy concerns be sure to be very clear with server and double check. I have several and even though my starter was tagged as a ‘dairy’ allergy and came out okay, my main (salad) came out with shredded mozzarella on it and am pretty sure the salmon was grilled with butter :-/ They don’t seem to have an allergy protocol in place which is surprising.
We had a great experience but we were hoping to have brunch but the brunch menu had stopped by 1130 which seems odd for a Sunday. I would have brunch would go later on a Sunday. Our food was great and so was our service.
Sat on the deck near the water - beautiful!
2 of the group had the Seafood Linguine - amazing!
My Caesar Salad was on the too salty side, but the added chicken was delicious.
Our server, Amy, was excellent- cheery & efficient!
Will be back & will recommend to others
Very nice room, seemed overly pricey for the food. Service was friendly
Great service, excellent food and drink quality and incredible patio setting on a semi private lagoon with views that are unmatched! Happy hour specials are excellent as well and the daily cocktail features haven’t disappointed yet!
Beautiful place to have dinner. Food and service is great and the view/environment was outstanding. Would easily come back.
We ordered salad with salmon, and the salmon was ordinary (reinforcing rank of "3" for the salad). The flatbread with sausage was good, but inundated with cheese and the dough was soggy and there was not a single bubble in the dough . . . so for the Chef of the restaurant for whom I'm sure has had fantastic flatbread in his career, bubbly crust, with crispiness, and not drenched in cheese, he would be disappointed in this . . . quite objectively, far from a top quality flatbread, but certainly good and edible (also reinforcing rank of "3" for food). The tomato soup was good, tasted similar to thin consistency, homemade spaghetti sauce but needed a bit more contrast from crouton (there was only two small cubes - and so that brings the soup down to a "4"). The environment is nice and the waitress was polite and formal.
This was our second visit to the Oak + Cru and I would have to say I am disappointed in the overall experience. With a limited menu selection I was expecting a wow effect. That did not happen. And, of no fault of the restaurant, the atmosphere gets ruined when people let their kids run around. Yes it was on the patio, but still, do you let your kids run around the table at home? Good thing we could afford a good bottle of wine because that was the only good thing about the evening
Good food. Sub par service this time around. Usually it’s way better. Our server took a long time to help us and rarely came to check on us. We had to ask for more drinks and were never asked how things were or if we wanted desserts or coffees etc. I think it was because he had too many tables and couldn’t keep up. He was nice enough but could increase sales and his own income if better trained or perhaps if there was less tables for him...maybe he was new and still learning the ropes.
Either way it was still a nice evening.
Thanks for listening.
Awesome restaurant! Service was very good, food quick the setting was excellent. Pizza was great! The sauce in the seafood linguine tasted off. Will try something else next time. Beautiful restaurant.
Food was okay, not great. Nice view.
Food and drinks hit the spot
Another great meal! Gotta try the buttermilk fried chicken... wow!
Best gluten free fish and chips and gluten free fried chicken!
Although the menu is somewhat limited, the quality of the food is excellent. Service is wonderful! The view is incredibly romantic.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of the food. Won’t return.
The omelette was superb, and orange juice was delightful.
Overpriced for the food. A weak selection of wines. No music, even after we asked them to turn it on.
We had a great experience we had every appetizer and they were all spectacular!! Our server was so kind friendly and knowledgeable! He really made sure we didn’t miss out we can’t wait for our next visit and the view was amazing ! We added a special note asking for outside and they had it all ready! It was the perfect share plate experience there was a little bit to try for each of us ! I would
Recommend this to everyone ! Also the value was amazing we had 6 appies 9 drinks and a dessert for around $250 !!! I t
