   If you want to dine here you have to be prepared for very loud. The food and service was fine but the noise level will keep me from returning again and is the reason for my 3 star rating

   Our server, Dan C, was terrific and our lunches came promptly and were delicious. I entered the bar from the hotel entrance hallway, and I was perplexed that there wasn't a hostess podium there. It took me a minute to realize that the hostess desk was straight ahead. Some kind of sign to indicate where to check in would be helpful. Other than that, the experience was great, and I will definitely eat at the Long Bar again.

    Great dinner the service was first class, it was our 50th anniversary set us by the fireplace, it table. Only downside little noisy. Otherwise a great anniversary dinner.

    Always a fun and happy place to be. Go for a drink and a few apps. Main entrees are just ok, nothing special, and small portions. I had the halibut and when it arrived I was disappointed to see how tiny the piece of a fish was. A few forkfuls and done. Our son had the mussels app for his dinner and he loved it. I don’t think we will return for a meal but will go back for drinks and conversation.

    Our favorite manager recently moved here... so we followed "Karine" Great location in a posh classy setting, could spend hours here hanging out.  It was Sunday brunch so had a mimosa, very good more bubbly than oj. Had the brunch burger.  First thing I noticed was the quality in many respects.   The egg yoke was deep yello which means probably organic,  mayo was thick and rich, not like what you get most places.  First bite of the burger almost fell off my chair, the sweet onion jam vermont cheddar egg and beef just was an awesome mix.  👌 Finally the bat tender Matt and Sheila were super friendly and made some great craft cocktails like the Paper Airplane and my espresso  (notice no X) martini in a copper cup All is all definitely a repeat!

    My favorite bar/restaurant to take people from out of town. An elegant lunch, right in the heart of the Back Bay. Healthy options and burgers, beautiful cocktails. Staff is the best in Boston.

    We had a reservation, and 20 minutes after being seated, we still hadn't even received water or been acknowledged by a server. I know it was Boston Marathon time, but that's pretty ridiculous. So, we left. This review is solely based on that service, not the food since we didn't stay.

    We ate here after I finished the Boston Marathon and they gave us the best table for two in front of the fireplace. The Lobster Roll and Old Bay French fries were perfect after running 26.2 miles. Great service from Rudy. Glass of Sancerre tasted extra special.

    The worst service. We asked the server if the kitchen could make a change to a menu item and the server said no without asking the kitchen. We asked if she would ask the kitchen if they could make the change and she said no. We have been to this restaurant before and had the menu item changed but for some reason she decided not today. We have been to the restaurant many times and have had fabulous service and food.

    Pre Boston Marathon Dinner, the specials Short Rib Bolognese just fabulous, not too heavy but so delicious, The Wild Mushroom Pasta dish was really good too and the Spring Pea Paparadelle was also just wonderful. We all just were struck by how good the food was. Service was great! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves really great food!!!!

    The hostesses could not have been more accommodating and the place was slammed. Drinks were delicious. Service by Lydia was great and the food was yummy. I had the octopus and it was perfectly cooked. Fun atmosphere.

    I was there during the day, so it wasn't as busy, but it was so pleasant. I had fantastic food, which I think was worth the priciness, and the service was great. The food came out really fast, and the table was ready even though we were pretty early for the rez. 10/10 and would recommend!

    the hotel is beautiful,the sevice is good but not first class, the food was not what one would expect for the price.l is what you would expect at a hotel chain, we get much better service and food at capital or ruths chris,too bad it was a very good steak place at one time,and now the hotel chain has let that go

    Drink at the bar prior to dinner with my daughter. Service excellent. Appetizers at bar excellent. Always difficult getting a seat though. Dinner was very good, though not exceptional (I didn’t expect exceptional-it is a primarily a bar/restaurant, not a restaurant/bar). Service was again excellent.     The cushions were sagged out and despite my Open Table reservation, the host tried to sandwich me into a tiny spot amid other people’s coats. When I balked he moved me to a nicer table. Service was friendly and lobster rolls were pricey but delicious.

    Everything was incredibly well prepared and presented - absolutely delicious. The gem & radicchio salad was superb - such an incredible tarragon infused dressing, worth going for alone. The sea bass on a bed of curried coconut milk lentils was equally outstanding - expertly cooked. Incredible ambiance and fantastic service - worth every penny.
