Great first time experience. Celebrated my 60th Birthday so I wanted something special. Heard great things about Oak Steakhouse and wanted to see for ourselves. Started with Charcuterie, moved to the 10oz Filet with Gouda Mac & Cheese and Brussel Sprouts. Martini's were perfect and the Pinot Noir was wonderful. Highly recommend!

Bar is ready good. Mid week dinner after work for us. Paris was our server and she was amazing. She was so familiar with the menu that she could make excellent recommendations. The food is always good and it a go-to place when we don't want to cook at home. See you soon Paris! They also make a perfect gin martini!

We came for our anniversary. The staff saw that on our reservation and thanked us for choosing to spend our anniversary with them. They even treated us to a glass of champagne and comped our dessert for us to say thank you. We felt very welcome - this was probably the best restaurant experience that I’ve ever had. Not to mention, the steak was fantastic

It is always an amazing experience! The cocktails are interesting and expertly constructed! The food is top notch- amazing steaks that melt in your mouth. The service is attentive without being intrusive - absolutely perfect!

Awesome food and service! Beautiful restaurant in a great location, my girlfriend and i had such a great time! Dry aged steak was cooked to perfection and we loved the seafood appetizers to start. Make sure to try the wagyu and save room for dessert!

The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect for my husband and I. We ate a heavy lunch and came for a lighter dinner. We ordered cheeseburgers..and wow...they were amazingly good! We will definitely return for steak when we are in town again. Highly recommended!

Blown away by the service and food at Oak Steakhouse! We were able to sit outside on a lovely evening and our waiter, Jose, was very attentive and knowledgeable. The owner/manager came to speak with us. Our food (hanger steak and halibut) were absolutely delicious! The "Bonfire on the Beach" N/A drink was the best mocktail I have had while pregnant! This was an incredible find in Alexandria. Within walking distance of the hustle/bustle on King Street but on its' own corner with lots of charm and not too much crazy. We would recommend this place to anyone!!!

We love the Oak! My only quibble was that we were given the choice of still or sparkling water, didn’t specify tap water, and ended up paying for water. Not a big deal, but for the price point that should not be the default. The food was delicious, though the halibut was on the small side.

It was an ok experience. I’m not a cheap diner and would pay and have paid twice as much for a great experience, but I did not get what I paid for. I left underwhelmed. Let’s start from the beginning. I arrived 10 mins before and the door was open. They were doing there final prep, but in better experiences, when I arrived early I would be offered a seat at the bar or at a table. I wound up sitting outside on the street. To make matters worse, it was my 65th bday and my wife put it on the reservation. Never mentioned when I checked in or asked about any occasions celebrating - why ask on the reservation if your not gonna do anything. Now to the food….cold hard butter with the Parker house rolls which tasted good but were not hot and barely hit the mark for being warm. If they were served hot, they would have been fluffier and better. I got the Prime Ribeye which could have used some more seasoning. Outside perimeter needed salt but the middle was nicely seasoned and wish it was served hotter….seemed luke warm like the rolls. And I was excited about the Oyster Rockerfellers which I got 4 and I ate 1. Should have sent it back. There was three upsides. Coffee was amazing and a must to try with desert. Five stars for the coffee. And the old fashion was amazing as was the apple and cherry cobbler. Both five stars. It is the coffee, cobbler and old fashion that bring my rating up. Without those three things, the rolls, steak and service would have been a 2 out of 5, but with them they are a 3 out of 5. And I do not intend on being a return customer. They obviously do not value there customers as it did not improve and I did not feel welcome even after we were sitting.

Newman Hwy Cedar Das was very likable and a veteran to boot. We had to change our reservation a couple times and they were totally successful in meeting our needs. I love this restaurant and have been here many times. I took two people from Missouri and they eat at very fancy restaurants, and was very impressed with the oak. I was happy that everything worked out in our business. Meaning concluded with success. Thanks so much.

Great, friendly staff. Delicious food - easily one of the best filet’s we’ve had (twice) in the DMV. Also accommodated our toddler with some off-menu chicken tenders and as any parent can attest, this going the extra mile is very appreciated.

The staff was great, but in particular, our server Natalia was terrific. Service was excellent, but it was the nice, small touches like including a container of horseradish with the unfinished steak we brought home. She was conscientious and made the dining experience even more pleasant!

We went here based on an "affordable" note in Open table. Whoa Nelly, NOPE. The prices were more comparable to Morton's or Chris Ruth than say Chart house. $60+ for a 10 oz filet IIRC? But whatever. The real issue is 3 of the 4 steals we ordered medium came out well. Like shoe leather well. So we sent them back, along with a sizable chunk of mac and cheese our son had already scooped. The server said no problem, he'd get us a new M&C for free. 40 or so minutes later the right steaks came out. My wife was done, unavoidable. The manager came over to apologize, we graciously accepted. Then the bill. There was no deduction, and in fact we had been charged for the second M&C. I can tell the place is popular and it has great ratings, so I don't expect too many to take this one seriously. However, we will never go back. You don't screw customers like that and then not offer to give them a small amount of compensation even in the form of free desserts or something. We walked out the door with over a $360 bill, and no looks in our rear view mirror.

We were a party of 4 and came to celebrate a birthday. We had oysters and steak tartare to start. Steak tartare was excellent and oysters were good. The hangar steak and NY strip were cooked to perfection, as was the rockfish. We enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, spinach, and Mac n cheese side dishes. We ended up taking some food home. They provided some sweet endings to help us celebrate the birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Shout out to Josh, our waiter.

Oak Steakhouse is becoming our favorite spot in Old Town. The food is exceptional and the service unparalleled. We also really love their wine list. They have excellent wines at a reasonable price by the glass or bottle. We've been going there once a week for a couple months and the experience is always wonderful.
