This was our first time dining at Riverbend Inn since Peller purchased the property, and also since Chef Ross Midgley took over the kitchen. Our expectations were both high and exceeded. Dinner from the diverse, seasonal menu was delicious all around the table, the wine selection was excellent, and our server, Darrion, was a real pro. She read each table expertly, and interacted instinctively with each guest. A truly delightful experience.
We were blessed with a beautiful warm October day and had an exceptional lunch in a stunning setting. The waiter, Dave I believe his name was, was excellent. He suggested a wonderful bottle of wine which exceeded expectations and his knowledge and suggestions regarding the food was spot on. Overall it was an exceptional experience and highly recommended. It's the perfect place to go for a special occassion, when friends from out of town are visiting or just because.
Thanks for a wonderful, unrushed lunch!
I was somewhat disappointed. I had read good reviews, but the food was kind of “meh.” We had an 8:00 pm reservation and it was apparent that another couple and us were the last of the evening. The waiter was in a real hurry to serve us and get out of there. It was quite obvious. The ambience was great, So, that was a plus. I wouldn’t go there again.
The food and atmosphere were outstanding. A delightful experience that was worth the investment. Compliments to both the chef and our server. We will definitely find our way back there again.
Ice wine berry dark chocolate flourless cake outstanding! Must order!
Lovely setting with a well prepared, thoughtful menu. Our server was very professional, informative and friendly.
Beautiful setting, great food and excellent service. Lights were a bit too bright but we were told that they’re working on the dimmers with an electrician.
A great dining experience at a beautiful setting! Will definitely be going back!
Lovely dining room and great food. The service by our waiter William was very attentive and perfect. It was our 32nd wedding anniversary and they gave us a complimentary dessert. We live in the area and this was our first time here but we will definitely be back!
Service was great, and the food was amazing! Highly recommended!
Such a wonderful experience! The view from our table Over looking the vineyards spectacular!
The food delicious…and the personnel so friendly and efficient!! Thank you for making our birthdays so special!!
Menu not the same as on website. Terrible sides with braised short ribs ant pork rib. Nice beet salad and mushrooms on (2) toasts appetizer. Lemon tart was delicious but not really worth $14.
Everything from start to finish was superb.
Great service and very beautiful inside. See the pics.
Very attentive servers and they allow you to take your time to enjoy the food and ambiance
The Riverbend Inn has become one of our favourite dining spots. The scenery is stunning! Lush grass leading into grapevines & beautiful gardens with Two Sisters Winery & Kurtz Orchards far off in the background. It is peaceful & romantic.
The service is warm, friendly & very professional. Our server even recognized us from our visit in late July.
The menu is creative & the delicious options never disappoint. I'd highly recommend the yummy lemon tart for dessert!
We can't wait to return!
Billed as an upscale restaurant with outstanding menu. Certainly upscale pricing, but very average food quality. Main courses pretty average. Highlight was desert. Wait staff very pleasant but in dire need of training.
Our server and food was excellent. The wine was delicious too. A bit noisy, but you can't control that. It was rather expensive, great place to celebrate special occasions and it was my birthday and they didn't disappoint.
Spectacular view from the patio. Service was great. So glad we gave this place a try. We will be back. Thank you!!
The best lemon tart I have ever had! My companion said the flour less chocolate cake was particularly good because it wasn't too dense and had good flavor.
The food was delicious. The restaurant was elegant and beautiful. Waitress was exceptional. But for the amount of food received we felt it was overpriced.
Great weekend lunch with family in the patio with amazing view and tasty food.
We enjoyed a very quiet, delicious lunch! The patio was open and we were the only guests inside the dining room. Each of us enjoyed our lunch: Smoked salmon, hamburgers, and eggplant. The wine was wonderful as was the cheese plate for dessert. I would like to go there more often but my wallet does not allow me.
Oysters and duck confit were excellent and an intimate setting for a special dinner
Food flavours were great, a little small portion-wise, service was outstanding!
The food and service was fantastic
Beautiful, elegant room. Personable servers. Glad to have a chance to work my way through more of Chef Ross’ delicious menu.
Wonderful food but pricey. They mixed up our dessert but took it off our bill and we loved it so no complaints there! We had a lovely evening sitting outside and watching the sunset. Highly recommend for a special night.
A hidden gem. Excellent menu and attentive service.
The short ribs melted in your mouth and the flourless chocolate cake was the perfect ending to a great meal.
Lovely patio, although problem with avoiding the setting sun in our eyes.
Delectable oysters, decent wines, interesting menu.
We enjoyed our lunch extremely.
My elderly mother had excellent choices and my husband and I loved the menu
The view on the patio was great looking at the Peller estate. The food was average in my opinion. No bread service at the table. At that price, they could at least serve a piece of bread. The server told us that the chocolate cake was a big portion…only 3 bites and it was over for $12…we won’t come back :-(
Excellent! Very peaceful and food is excellent!
What a lovely little gem
If a restaurant! Tracy was our server and was fantastic! Great knowledge and super amazing service.
One of our favorite restaurants after exploring a week in NOTL. The ambiance and out side patio was a perfect spot to spend our last night in Niagara! Intimate atmosphere inside and out! Charming. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic lunch with dear friends. Beautiful spot. Book it now!
Spectacular! Fabulous ambience and food and service would go back any time.
The main course and dessert were very tasty
Presentation was great
Pricey for the amount of food
View and food were outstanding!
Beautiful food and setting
Their oysters and beef short rib are heaven, must try!
We have been to Oaklands at The Riverbend Inn several times and have always had great service and wonderful food. Chef Ross has created some very tasty dishes and desserts. Amy and David have both served us and each of them are so friendly and attentive. Thank you!
A lovely spot for lunch and/or dinner and the ambience of the vineyard!
