   Everything was amazing. More than we could've asked for. Service, food, ambience was beyond fantastic. Would highly recommend. William was a great server and explained each dish as we got them. Will go back and will tell everyone we know about this place.

   So lovely and calm. A perfect spot for lunch and Kelson and Annette were lovely and welcoming. The charcuterie board and artisanal cheeses were delicious matched with the perfect local pinot noir. Looking forward to visiting again.

   The food was incredible. The dishes I had were full of flavour and sizable. The ambiance was great with good jazz music playing in the background and a view of the vineyards. The service was also excellent.

    We attended the Valentine's night Prix Fix dinner on Feb 14. Great menu and plenty of choice, even within the short menu. Restaurant staff were knowledgable and very competent.

    We went for dinner at Oaklands and found the crab and salad appetizers to be absolutely delicious. The flavours on duck two ways and scallops were simple and not memorable, and the dessert of a baked apple with crème anglais was yummy. On the whole, we really didn’t feel that the restaurant delivered on the meal standards we are used to. Basic and decent but not worth the price.

    This was an outstanding choice for our last-minute get away dinner in Niagara. As a long-time food service professional I always look for made from scratch and unique places to dine and this one was wonderful. We felt welcome and attended to without the service being intrusive. The restaurant and the food were really exceptional. Our next getaway in Niagara will be to the adjoining inn here.

    We are repeat customers of the restaurant, I came to celebrate my birthday and to allow my daughter to experience it for her first time. She is a very picky eater, but she loved the food. It shocked us totally when we ordered the recommended soup of the day and she jumped in as well. We were totally amazed. We hadn’t tried the soup as yet to know what it tasted like. She knew she wanted it because the place was so clean and the ambiance was so good and the fact that it had broccoli was an added bonus for her. Will continue to visit this restaurant.

    Our afternoon lunch was spectacular from start to finish. The host was very friendly and helpful with our coats. We were seated in the beautiful bright dining room looking out over a vineyard. Our waiter Kelson was very friendly and attentive and checked on us regularly throughout the meal. The wine list featured a number of local wines that were reasonably priced. The mushroom toast was delicious as promised and our lunch entrees were served hot and to our liking. We all enjoyed the delicious food and shared a yummy piece of ginger cake for dessert. I would highly recommend The Oaklands at the Riverbend Inn and look forward returning!

    My husband and I went for the Oyster special. We enjoyed some wine and also the pate plate...the oysters were amazing!!!!. Everything was great as well as the service from Cinthia. I would highly recommend a stop in to enjoy some food and wine even if you are not staying at the Inn. Please ask for Cinthia...you will appreciate her exceptional service

    Generally a lovely spot for dinner but our last visit was quite poor. The Arctic char had a hunk of cold butter under the fish skin that did not melt. When I inquired if this was on purpose the server replied it was. I watched our neighbours receive the same fish dish w melted butter, no cold hunk. The duck rillettes came out with the fat separated as a thick white layer on top forcing the dinner to mix it w the baby spoon provided. Since it was very cold this proved difficult and did not mix well and tasted terrible. One of us has an allergy and when asked if a dish was okay to consume the server replied with "I am sure it's fine." Not the reply one wants to hear when an allergic reaction could occur. Additionally, the pickerel was quite small for a $50 dish. We have decided not to return.

    Wow, what a fantastic gem of a restaurant. Lucked into it by chance and it was the best meal we had during our three day stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The service was excellent from the hostess to the wait staff and the ambiance was incredible. Then there was the food, absolutely fantastic. For appetizers we had the mushrooms on toast and the pickled beet salad. Good portion sizes, not too big or small and very tasty. Our mains were the braised beef short rib and Ontario Pickerel and they were both delicious. For dessert my husband had the pumpkin cheesecake and it was also very good. Paired wines were fantastic too! An overall great experience and we will definitely return.

    Our Server was amazing, very attentive and paced our dishes to come out at perfect timing. We were also so impressed with the selection of wine that you had to offer which was an incredible bonus. Our mains were out of this world, and dessert was mouthwatering. It was so nice to meet the Chef, and it really made our dinner. Thanks again for impeccable service and food - we will be back!

    A hidden gem. Elegant restaurant in the RiverBend Inn. A selection of local wines, beers and creative cocktails served. The four of us enjoyed our lunch, we all chose something different, burger, pasta, fish and soup and salads. All was delicious. Beautifully presented and delicious. we'll be back!
