A simple skewer took 45 minutes to get to the table, by that time we were given 10 minutes to slam our expensive cocktails and eat (our first course), because we were told we had to leave as the next reservation was there.

Big city vibe in a small town. Definitely make a reservation--my friend has been turned away before. The drinks are delicious and unique and Nate was an excellent bartender who gave great advice and checked on us just enough for us to feel taken care of and not so much that it felt cloying. The Obstacle 1 (old fashioned) was presented with such pageantry; it was a cocktail AND entertainment and (my friend said) absolutely wonderful. So much so that she did not offer me a sip! Not being a bourbon girl, I ordered the Oaxaca Old Fashioned and it was excellent and served in a glass with a large cylindrical cube so as not to dilute the drink. I didn't offer her a sip either haha! I will definitely be back with my husband for a date night! An amazing addition to Holland's cocktail scene.

Such a cool vibe here! Drinks and mixologists were amazing. Not crowded and conversing was easy. Drink prices reflected quality. Although we did not have food with drinks, prior experience with Poquito food was excellent.

This place is a favorite. My friend and I try to come once a month. Is it expensive? It is. Is it worth it? Absolutely. It’s an experience beyond “let’s go to the bar and have a drink.” If fine dining was a bar, it would be Obstacle No. 1. You’re treated to ambience, personal service, a great atmosphere, and some of the best concoctions I’ve ever had. If you’re in town, you should put this on your list.

It was our first time in, and Nate helped create amazing cocktails and experience for it. My fiancé even asked him to create an off menu drink he would enjoy with free reign over ingredients and it turned out great. Would definitely recommend. We did not get to try the food.

The food was incredible and the drinks were very tasty! However, our service was slow. They could have used two bar tenders with a full restaurant. Sitting at the bar on a date wasn’t conducive to conversation so request a table if you want to chat with your date!

The crafted cocktails and service were excellent. My only complaint was that it was very dimly lit. It was difficult to read the menu and ultimately see our dishes when served. We put our trust in the kitchen and everything was wonderful!

Overall, a good experience. The 1st bartender was great! Talked and interacted with us and made great drinks with suggestions and explanations. The waitress seemed bored and distracted. We had to ask for a menu, had to ask if we could order and flagged her over when we wanted to order more side plates. This was unnecessary for a small location. 2nd bartender and next round was ok.

Apps and drinks are thought out and delicious. Came a few weeks ago and made a return journey faster then I anticipated due to the excellent drinks and apps. The service is great as well. Price is higher but I’m happy to pay the cost to keep a place of this caliber open. Would highly recommend.

Such a fun experience! The drinks were delicious. I got the Dr. Hyde and Clover Club both were great, my husband got the Obstacle No. 1 and Black Math and he enjoyed both. As far as food goes we got the truffle fries and bacon wrapped dates-outstanding! Not a ton for the price but they were devine. Would highly recommend for a date night, only down side is you definitely have to have a reservation as there is not a lot of seating.

Happy to say the food was delicious. Kudos to the chef! The combination of ingredients used to creat the appetizers complimented each other well. The bar tenders Victor and Nate’s talent for mixology was obvious in every sip of our cocktails.

It seemed like there needed to be another server so the bartender could mix drinks. He didn't seem too interested in trying to sell us anything but our first drink. It was different than other experiences we've had there. I like the dark vibe to some extent, but a little more light in the summer would be nice (only there during winter before) and at least enough light to read menus. When we left we saw seating outside with "Ob 1" on the statue in the center, but it wasn't made clear (or offered) that sitting out there was an option. THat'd be nice to know. It was a lovely day out so actually would've prefered that this time if it was an option.
