Dinner started off a little slow but quickly corrected! The steaks were very good and our service was first class! Best in KC!! They still serve New York strips in Kansas City. You’ll be happy you made the choice to dine at Ocean Prime!

We celebrated my husband's birthday. He was recognized by multiple people from the hostess to the server and received a comped dessert. The food was outstanding -- he said his steak was one of the best he ever had and just as he ordered it. My salmon was delightful. Everything we had was wonderful and we can't say enough about the excellent service.

Our server was Brittany. She was very good, personable and attentive. She always stopped by to check on us. She made good conversation and was not just there to get is in/out. Definitely would ask for her next time.

My wife and I dined at Ocean Prime for the first time. My food was very good but my wife's scallops were very salty. We talked to our waiter about it, but nothing happened. We at least were expecting the chef to come out to talk to us.

Walking in the greeting staff was welcoming. Received amazing complimentary drinks . The services were top tier. Not sure what entree to get, the Candied lamb chops is a must along with the lobster linguini. End it all with a spectacular slice of carrot cake, looking for something more rich the peanut butter chocolate pie will do it.

Staff on this night was particularly attentive and friendly. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary, and everyone we encountered from water/bread service to wait staff and others were either joyful or joyful and went above and beyond. Food is always delicious here — never a miss. And don’t forget to have an after dinner cocktail upstairs at Prime Social. Our server reserved us a table as we were wrapping up dinner. Awesome. ;)

Great food, 100% recommend asking for JD as your server! He is a big reason why I’d go back. Loved spending my birthday there. They don’t rush you out. Absolutely a 10/10 night there.

We celebrated our anniversary with Ocean Prime. I have never been to a restaurant where everyone was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Our server was amazing! Her entree and wine pairing suggestions were excellent! The food quality is also top-tier. Everything about my experience was exceptional. I am definitely going back!

Rough start but they recovered. Ambiance may be better elsewhere in the dining room, but we were definitely seated in a subprime location. This is the first time I’ve ever selected a special occasion when making a dinner reservation online. Maybe they thought this meal is an anomaly for us based on that selection? That we probably can’t afford the place and they’d save better seating for others? I realize I’m speculating, but can’t think of another logical reason we were seated in the main walkway with no service, water, etc for quite some time (at 5:30pm!) It wasn’t busy, yet multiple people walked by our table without noticing or taking ownership of the situation. That said, our waiter was cordial when he arrived; not overly warm, attentive, or helpful like we witnessed at other tables, but sufficient. We may give the place another try because we did enjoy it overall however, this first experience did not compare to other go-to spots in KC.

The customer service was outstanding. Lydia and Aaron took care of all our celebration needs. They went above and beyond to help the evening to be special. I could not be happier with the outcome. It was a pleasure to have such great service. The food was delicious, great portion sizes, and the energy was electric. Thanks for making the occasion memorable.

This was the best night my husband and I could have ever had for our 25th Wedding Anniversary! It started from the moment we walked in the door being greeted and congratulated! We were seated in a quiet corner booth and had a card waiting for us at the table! Every server that we encountered said "Happy 25th Anniversary!" And made us feel so special! The food was amazing- you have to try the "Berries" drink that is beautiful and delicious! The steak was cooked to a perfection and the sides we chose were the jalepeno scalloped potatoes and brussel sprouts so delicious! The manager came out to greet us as well as the Chef! They also gave us the best Creme Brulee dessert we ever had! From start to finish truly the best! Jenny Lynne was our server and we would HIGHLY recommend her! She was top notch! We loved all of her recommendations!! In addition I have a gluten allergy and I felt like this was not an issue at all and with every thing I ordered Jenny Lynne made sure it was gluten free!!! She was truly AMAZING! Thank you so much to all the staff that made us feel so special!

Service is subpar at this location; however the food is still delicious. Some older wines listed and would liked to have seen more Orin Swift, perhaps Mercury Head? Desert was good but the fan favorite warm butter cake was not warm and disappointed.

We had such a great experience tonight celebrating 3 birthday’s. Our server Clayton was amazing! He had great recommendations that a few chose and Clayton was spot on. He joked around with us all and was on top of all drinks, appetizers and our meals. We will definitely be back!

Loved this place! I'm not even a seafood person, but I chose to eat here for my birthday dinner since I had reservations at Prime Social. I ended up having the vegetarian rolls & I'm still thinking about them! They were delicious!! Btw, free bread! Also, I've never been to a restaurant that gives out free pretzel bread!🤤 it was amazing! Definitely plan to go back!
