Highly recommended!!!The food is amazingggg!!!
A bit pricey considering the number of options and the good yet not exception quality of the food.
Thank you, dinner tastes good, music sings well.
It's a good place to talk.
I'll come here again with family or friends.
We arrived there to find the dining room closed - in the dark and no one in it!
Went to the Sails instead ( also in the Pan Pacific hotel) which was very good.
I'm sorry but I've worked in hotel kitchens before and the omelette that was made at Oceans 999 was sad. It was the thinnest, smallest omelette I have ever had. I could not find one mushroom in it or hardly any cheese. It was so small. I've just never experienced that before. It was the saddest thing I've ever seen. Eggs are one of the least expensive for food cost. That was shameful for a restaurant that should pride itself on quality. You should have an omelette at The Lobby at the Pinnacle in North Vancouver and learn from them. They do a great omelette.
This is our third visit to Oceans 999. As usual the food was terrific (and I am not traditionally a fan of buffets). We had a wonderful seat very close to where the opera singers were performing and the music was excellent. The restaurant itself has a wonderful ambiance and so overall we enjoyed our evening very much. The only negative was the service. We were constantly waiting for the waiter to remove used dishes from our table and bring new cutlery. He poured our initial glass of wine from the bottle we ordered but after that we were on our own (not a big deal as I am very capable of pouring but at their wine prices one tends to expect a little more). At the end of our evening I had to go to the hostess at the front of the restaurant and ask them to locate our waiter so that we could get our bill. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will of course return at another time.
Loved it! Oceans 999 is a restaurant I can rely on.
It was worse experience we had unfortunately on Valentines eve.
Birthday celebration with friends; staff were so friendly and helpful.
Went to the Dine Out menu....2 times....food and our server were Awesome
This was a 5 stars dine out meal with an affordable price of $35. My family believed that the food was better than Notch 8 or Boulevard. The appetizer of Pork Belly, the entree of Cod, and the dessert were in good portion and high quality. The waiter was great and the speed of food served was quick. However, my only complaint was that we booked a few days in advance. Without going into details, we were being placed at the far side of the room because we were there not for the "Opera Buffet". My husband's seat was facing the wall while there were other tables available. The "host" said they were busy with buffet but the 1.5 hours we were there, the table weren't that full. I think the sittings with better "view" of the stage or windows were for the $58 buffet guests only.
Our server was wonderful!
The food was good esp. the dessert.
I myself preferred a quiet environment though the opera singers were wonderful!
People were friendly in general!
Live music was great, so was food and appies. Half the restaurant is glass with a nice view of the water and lighting on surrounding buildings
Very interesting and beautifully presented food. Portions not too large so able to enjoy all 3 courses of the Dine Out menu.
Comfortable seating and attentive, pleasant service
Great views but average food
Great value at the Dine Out Vancouver. Delicious foods, impressively tasty fish dishes, good portions. Delectable martinis. Nice services. We didn’t care much for the opera though.
Nice environment and ambience with good service. Food is quite decent too.
We had a decent time at Dine Out. Service was meh only because it felt they were understaffed or something. Waiter would check on the table of two behind us multiple times, but would rarely check on our table despite walking past us every time.
The best service always! However, still preferred pianist than vocalist --- because the noise!
The restaurant was closed. How is it that you would allow people to book a reservation when the restaurant is closed. Why did no one from the restaurant contact me to let me know my reservation wouldn't happen? Also, how is it that the restaurant in a luxury hotel is closed at 730pm on a Friday night?
We booked for Sunday brunch on our trip to Vancouver and enjoyed the food variety very much with a great choice of mains and especially desserts. They could have cheaper wine options especially by the glass 13.50$ was too much for a glass of rose. Other than that a very good place to eat on a Sunday afternoon.
Greatest Cobb Salad with crab EVER. Neal was a great server
It's always good to have meal at Ocens 999; the service is the best in town.
My wife and I dined there for the Italian Opera Buffet. The ambiance and the whole Opera singer experience was amazing. The service at times was a little slow as the place was busy but overall no real complaints with it. I would say that the food was just ok, nothing really outstanding - I would have expected a little higher end for the price. Drinks are expensive - only coffee and tea is included with the cost of the buffet.
The vast majority of the buffet items were very delicious and fresh. Overall, a lovely experience and we would go again. My only complaint is that the mimosas were a little overpriced.
Service was top notch. Market buffet selection was good. Live piano music made the dining experience even better.
Decent for a brunch
The food was top notch my favourite items off the buffet are the carpaccio rare beef sliced super thin on a bed of curly endive/frisée, and the seafood salad was amazing nothing was over cooked everything from the baby squid to salmon was perfection. Dressing perfectly complimented the seafood bringing attention to the flavours of the fish not overpowering them. The hot food was a treat all fresh and tasty. The dessert bar so many flavours. Mini Creme brûlée, lemon tarts, chocolate moose to name just a few. The Opera singer’s tonight we’re also a real treat and brought ambience to the meal. Great experience and well worth the money spent. Servers were friendly and attentive.
Great service, great food, great performances. Only good memories left!
I highly recommend it.
I would only ask to the restaurant to establish a strict dress code as I saw people wearing sweet pants and running shoes
Excellent brunch always outstanding wish be cheaper in price to go more often thank you ocean 999 for delicious food
Food was excellent and Server (Sarah) was attentative and pleasant.
Young Restaurant Supervisor (Jon?) is learning his role and gaining experience.
Always enjoy Oceans 999 on Saturday Evenings with the Burnaby Opera Group.
Food was absolutely outstanding! Coupled with a nice bottle of wine and dynamite rolls, the sable fish and salmon were made to perfection.
Beautiful ocean view! We did Sunday brunch and everything was delicious.
Excellent food and great entertainment. I would definitely recommend it for a special date.
Perfect place for a lunch meeting. View was fantastic, restaurant is spacious and quiet and allows for discussion. Food and service are also high quality.
my only comment is the handicap parking. I phoned the hotel inquiring about this. the handicap parking spot was in front of the elevators with an immediate tow away sign above it????? it was difficult to find the hotel parking, it was not marked clearly. The conference parking and cruise ship parking was marked clearly.
It was amazing experience.
Service was a little slow but food was good.
