Oddfish is a Seafood and Vegetable focused restaurant. Ethically sourced and high quality ingredients are what you will find here with the focus being on the food - not the fuss. In regard to the wine list - approachable and interesting with a great price point is our goal. The atmosphere is casual and fun. We are a neighbourhood restaurant that others from outside the neighbourhood come to for that welcoming atmosphere. We are the same people who created Nook and Tavola restaurants.

Server was very nice, room was attractive and full of energy, however the fresh sheet was sold out, at a seafood place

Saturday night and halibut, salmon and cod all gone.
We had the trout with a side of scallops that were a little fishy, along with the pretty good brussel sprouts.
No apologies from chef, nor bread to start.

Nothing Odd about this establishment other than it is exceptional when so many fall short.
Frankly I didn't have any expectations but I'd heard Oddfish was "interesting" and worth a try. It was all that and a lot more. Often you know from the moment your enter a restaurant if it is going to be a good experience, this was one of those. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful (and fun), they looked like they love working at Oddfish. The wine selection was good and the food was outstanding. We had the mussels and the Wahoo special plus a cauliflower dish. Excellent all around. Super fresh. I would say this place is reasonable price wise and very good value. We are looking forward to going back.

Food and service were outstanding but the noise level (not from the music) was so loud that we could not hear the person seated next to us. We won't be back.

Oddfish is a treasure. Warm, inviting atmosphere, friendly staff and only the best and freshest seafood. We also love their sister restaurants, Tavola and Nook. You cannot go wrong with Oddfish.

While the food was good and fresh it was very expensive for what it was and for those kind of prices one would expect a way better service. The servers were slow and too casual, and had mannerisms you'd expect in a low-level restaurant or a bar. It was very loud as it got busier. I think the place is good for a large group of friends.

The Oddfish is the best seafood restaurant in Vancouver. Everything on the menu is amazing. The people are so friendly and nice. The way waiter/waitress explain the menu is so amazing. EXCELLENT Staff! Clever and fresh ingredients.

STAFF: Despite several mistakes on my part, including being late (I called) and having fewer people than I had reserved for, the greeter of this packed restaurant was warm and accommodating. Then, our waiter was also superb--she was so conscientious asking about any food allergies and she double-checked with the kitchen if she had any doubt.

FOOD: Perfect local oysters served with perfect condiments of fresh horseradish, vinegar and lemon. Pasta Vongole had a moderate number of clams and al dente spaghetti. Scallops perfectly cooked. All sides are priced served separately; the roasted carrots with a cream sauce were a highlight. Since NOTHING comes with any dish, the portions are smallish, and even the bread is separately charged, the bill climbs rapidly.

WINE: Nicely-priced bottles available and, again, excellent staff help when found one wine too sweet.

My friend recommended me to come check out OddFish and we are so glad we did! Everything was so good and we wished we had more room to try all the specials. We didn't order anything from the regular menu and just off the chalkboard specials as was recommended by our friend. My boyfriend and I will definitely be returning for another date night!

Whenever I drive by Oddfish, it has always been busy, so I've been meaning to try this place.

Unfortunately I was quite disappointed, the food was mediocre at best, which is such a shame, because the ingredients were fresh and had so much potential.
The biggest missed opportunity was the seasoning, some things were seasoned too heavily, some things were not seasoned enough. The seafood hotmess was just bland, the lobster was overcooked. The flavors were just not there.

I did not want to speak up at first just out of being "nice", I'm not the type to complain at restaurants, however, when I was asked at the very end of the service, I did suggest that the flavor palette could be more refined, I was told that my suggestions would be reflected to the chef and that was that. Now whether if my opinion will be taken seriously is another story as I felt almost a bit brushed off, probably because it was the end of the service and I'm asking for the bill.

The noise level is high, so it isn't a place for quiet dinner, which is fine too, just something to keep in mind when booking. The service was fair, not horrible, not great. Casual.

So almost $300 for 4 people later, I think it'll be quite a while before I decide to give Oddfish another go.

The food was very good, imaginative and tasty. Some of the servings were small for the price. The restaurant was lovely to talk and visit til around 7:30 and the noise became unbearable. We couldn't even hear our server explain what the desserts were.

Everything was great except for the overbearing attitude of the person who served us.
Whilst he was very knowledgeable about the food and the menu he was a bit loud and overbearing and interrupted a little too often.

As expected, it’s a causal brunch with a slightly more fancy and modern atmosphere. Average/decent service, average/decent food quality, it’s great for business lunch or for people who are not very adventurous when it comes to food but want to “try something new”., a safe option for anyone who is more on the conservative side and wanted a more typical menu.

This was our second visit to this new mid-range seafood specialty restaurant. Our foursome enjoyed a range of small dishes plus the grilled seabass. Lots of good food, expert bar, nice wine list including great BC offerings. Friendly and attentive service despite a very busy room. Reso is essential here.

Very disappointed. Second time here and all the food had way too much salt. Really took away from the potential flavors of the dishes. Pls ask chef to stop adding so much salt. And if he cannot, look around for a new chef!

The experience was outstanding, the servers were very friendly and helpful. The environment is very comfortable and relaxing.

The food was excellent, and the ingredients were especially fresh - the taste of the food was very well balanced.

I have ordered the salted caramel as my dessert and it had enhanced with a slight taste of coffee in it perfectly balance the sweetness of caramel itself.

Oddfish does a great job, consistently. Shared the hot mess and octopus with a great French Rose and it just couldn't have been nicer!
