Oddfish Restaurant

The food is delicious. Like dining in Europe but closer. Super fresh ingredients perfecty prepared.

As always, the meals, the cocktails, the wine, and the service was fantastic. Being outside on the generously sized, well protected, and heated patio is also always a pleasure - and safe! Thanks for a great evening. We’ll be back soon.

First post vaccination visit to a restaurant.

Food was wonderful but seating understandably odd. A bit windy.

Oddfish is doing lunch! We had delicious new sandwiches - the shrimp had a nice little kick - with the fabulous Oddfish fries. Nice pivot by a local favourite.

Oddfish is hands down Vancouver’s best restaurant.

We had a very nice time overall. Unfortunately, our reservation was at 8:15 pm and both specials were gone before we could place our order. We loved the oysters both hot and cold.

Service was incredible, food was great, small plates and mostly features versus a comprehensive menu (great play given they clearly focus on fresh seasonal seafood), lovely time overall.

Wonderful place for a nice casual dinner. Excellent food and great staff.

First time at Odd Fish. We had several dishes and not one was truly memorable except the desert. The food is very good, we were hungry and things tasted well... very nice. But nothing really jumped out as being exceptional. Not the presentation or the flavours. Just a nice meal at a nice restaurant. I would recommend them if you want to go out in Kits. I hope they can up their game in the months ahead. The location is terrific and they do make the effort. So I will go back in a couple of months and give them another go.

Good food and excellent service but not necessarily memorable. For a fish restaurant, there is a very limited selection of fish available on the menu and I am still unable to find that elusive restaurant that would do justice to our abundant Dungeness; one of the best and tastiest crab in the world. Pricing is a little on the higher side for what you get. Overall a good restaurant but not necessarily one I would recommend as there a plenty out there that a similar to this one in comparison.

Fresh ingredients, perfect execution, friendly service

This was my first time in Oddfish and my partner and I came for Valentines Day! When we first entered the restaurant, it was a little more casual than we were expecting but they really nailed it!

Our server was so kind and gave us a rundown of the menu. He said they have the BEST fries in Vancouver, and I would have to agree. We also got Yellowfin tuna tartare which was served with housemade chips and this fish was apparently just caught in New Zealand so it was super fresh!

My favourite dish of the night was definitely the Burrata served with roasted pistachios and honey. This was amazing, especially since Oddfish buys all of the honey from this particular bee farm so you won’t get this honey anywhere else.

We got two orders of pastas, which were huge! And they have the same pasta-maker as Nook so it was cooked perfectly al dente. I would say the sauces could use a little bit more seasoning, so we just asked for salt and chilli oil and it was great!

Always outstanding from service through food - an all-around favourite.

Miguel and the team always do an amazing job. They are more than accommodating with requests and meet our expectations and often exceed them, ever time.

Service was great and friendly staff. Food was almost good but the vongole noodles had to be cooked more. It was little hard to eat.

They took our body temperature which made me feel safe eating there. Grilled sea bass was great and good selection of wines. Highly recommend.

Great little Kits hideaway with excellent food, ambience, and service.

Oddfish has great and creative food. the wine list is not extensive but very interesting. We had a great white burgundy that we had not tried and it went well with our dinner. Two quibbles. Our initial server was either inexperienced or indifferent but this was soon caught by other staff who attended to our table and from then on, our service was excellent. the only other issue is ventilation. We were in the main room by the open kitchen. When we got home out clothes smelled of that kitchen. I humbly suggest closing the area off somehow or getting better ventilation or maybe next time, I will ask to sit away from the kitchen. This was inconvenient but not a deterrent. This is a great restaurant and I highly recommend it.

Excellent seafood

Usually they are pretty good.
However, the appetizer and main entrees came right about the same time. So it was not a pleasant experience where we had to eat quick to enjoy the warmer meals.

Would suggest against the “feed me”

Lovely place to eat. Good variety of seafood and everything tasted delicious! The service was fast and we were helped right away. Lovely place for a meal.

Great dinner!!

Our server had a couple mis-steps, bringing us incorrect items that we didn't order twice and forgetting one item all together. Everything was quickly remedied when brought to his attention, not sure if he was new. The food was excellent, especially the ceviche and fries were both standout! We ordered the Steelhead crudo from the daily specials menu and compared to everything else we felt it lacked flavor and wasn't nearly as good as the rest of the dishes we ordered. Overall our experience was great and we will definitely be returning.

Decided to give this restaurant a try after reading all the incredible reviews online. To say the least, I arrived with extremely high expectations... The food, presentation and service exceeded it all, by a landslide!!!!!
Hands down one of the VERY BEST seafood restaurants in the City. Beyond impressed & will most definitely be back!
