While this isn't the first time I've dined at Odessey, it has been awhile. The drinks were very good as well as the aroncini risotto balls. My friend had the blue cheese wedge salad which was delicious; myself I had the spring salad which outside of the roasted red pepper dressing was no different than the salad I fix for myself at home on a daily.... For entree I chose the filet with risotto and asparagus... the meat was cooked as ordered med rare but unfortunately my whole dish was lukewarm. The risotto was more like sticky rice consistency not creamy as desired. The asparagus was ok but no real seasoning other than pepper... honestly my entire dish was a bit blackened and my mouth burned from the use of black pepper. My friend had the filet as well but unfortunately hers was a bit under more rare.... scallop good but a bit blackened with black pepper as well her asparagus (think that was the only seasoning used) as well as her whole dish being lukewarm. We did get some brussel sprouts to share which was the only component of the entree of adequate temp but the clumps (I do mean clumps) of raw garlic (surprising as was non existent elsewhere) was a bit unappetizing. The meal wasn't terrible it was just ok and nothing I could not have (or haven't) made at home.

Have always loved Odyssey and by & large still do. But a bit disappointed in a few things - the salmon was dry - should have some type of little sauce on it, if just lemon butter for a little moistening. and the strip steak was very thin, so impossible to cook med rare and get any sear, so it was fully medium. still tasty, but not what I expected. Nice wine prices - thanks for not marking those up too much. Will be back to order other items.

Shelly was our waitress. She was fantastic, from drink recommendations to food recommendations. She was excellent. We had an incredible meal: honey bee margarita, spare ribs with mashed potatoes, loved the dressing on the arugula salad, grilled Caesar with shrimp and asparagus and sangria. All outstanding. We were so pleased. Thank you Shelly and odyssey.

Being from north central Kansas, it's so worth the 2 hour's on the road. Drinks were so unique and wonderful. The food was simply amazing. And had a fantastic waitress. Will definitely be back!

We recently made a round trip to Iowa and stopped in Hastings both going and coming back home. Odyssey is the best restaurant in Hastings, so we had dinner there twice within a week. Both visits were excellent: good food, reasonably priced, excellent service, nice ambiance and overall a comfortable place to relax after a long drive. I don't know that we'll ever return to Hastings, but if we do we'll definitely dine at Odyssey.

Once a year I make a trip to Central Nebraska to see the Sandhill Crane migration and I am always sure to visit the best restaurant in Central Nebraska, too - Odyssey. The food is incredible and the service is always on point. This year I brought a new friend with me and she is not even a foodie and thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. You cannot go wrong with the bruschetta board. Our favorites were the popper (jalapeño) & traditional, followed by the Brie. We both had filets and agreed that the Mac and cheese was the best side dish (so good!). Also, the BBQ bacon-wrapped shrimp is amazing! We were so full we could not have dessert - next time!

Service was excellent and very professional! 8oz fillet was ordered medium but came more on the well/med well. Tasted ok and didn’t want to complain. Meal presentation was excellent but the mashed potatoes were on the cold/stiff side. Huge asparagus! Tasted good but due to their size they could have been done a little longer as the stalk wasn’t done near last inch of base. The “barbied” shrimp with my steak was excellent. Their “Sasquatch” Moscow mule was amazing and highly recommend! Overall nice place to eat. Yes it’s on the pricey side but everything is now. If I did it all again-order fillet med/rare, skip the appetizer, get the brussel sprouts over the asparagus. And skip the cheesecake as it wasn’t worth the price.

The service was efficient, welcoming, and helpful. From the decor to the restrooms, the ambience was whimsical and delightful. And the food was the best we’ve had in a long time. We’d drive from Omaha to Hastings again, just to eat at Oyssey.
