   One of my favourite spots in the city. The food is just so incredible and the service is incredibly warm. LOVE the poached black cod and the baby kale salad

   Incredible authentic food and atmosphere. If you are looking for awesome sushi, drinks and and staff…I highly recommend Oku. Chef is a master…really.

   It is the best restaurant I have ever been in Vancouver. The foods were so delicious and the service was great. I hope that the beef tongue steak can be in the menu permanently.

   I chose this restaurant for our 1st nite arrival in Vancouver We wanted somethkng japanese (as we love Japan and we've been going there very often) and we want to eat raw fish. The all dishes were incredible. So incredible that we took the raw king salmon twice. And allbthe staff were very helpful, welcoming ald energetic. THE place TO GO

   ​Omakase sushi that Takeshi (owner) made for us—all of them were as phenomenal as always. I can 100% recommend OKU to anyone who wants a Japanese dining experience where the chef selects and prepares a tasting menu of seasonal ingredients and dishes, leaving it up to the chef to create a unique and personalized meal.

   Great place to have a dinner. Excellent sushi plus some dishes that are unique to Oku Izakaya. We have been many times and will keep going back.

   My overall experience was positive but unfortunately our first dish Yellowtail with Wa-Chimichurri Sauce was mostly fishy (maybe 2 pieces felt ok). Not fresh and I have pictures in which you can see the color of the fish is not vibrant. I've had this dish before and it's disappointing that tonight wasn't fresh. Everything else including service was great though!

    We have such a wonderful experience tonight at Oku. Our server is very attentive, friendly, make us feel welcoming and comfortable. The food is very delicious, just like in Japan. Reasonable price. Will definitely go back.
