Old Crow Smokehouse - Orange
Nice place. The food was very good and the service is attentive and friendly. This is a good place for game night.
Well, unfortunately, the food was not good. I selected this place, based on the reviews but the food was not good. My wife’s salad was horrible, it was not fresh. The lettuce was wilted and dark. She rejected it because it was not appealing to her. The ribs she ordered were not cooked well, returned for longer cooking but they were still not good.
I ordered the sausage links with baked beans and mash potatoes. The link and beans were good but the potatoes were very bland. No flavor.
The band playing was OK, and our waiter was very attentive but the food was just not any good. I won’t be back.
Went in for happy hour with some girlfriends. Wait staff was very nice, they explained all of the happy hour specials and gave great recommendations. Food was fantastic! Rustic, casual, nice place. Will go again.
Birthday dinner but nothing was announced or given to us as a token for the birthday boy.
Brisket was exquisite. Practically melted in my mouth. Man n cheese was just average. Cornbread was definitely a chart topper. Jalapeño poppers? Burnt, maybe we will try them again. But for no I can’t recommend them. Our server was definitely a YAPPER. All in all, I will absolutely be returning and have saved this place into my favorites. I look forward to trying some of the other dishes. Two thumbs up
Peggy was amazing
Very knowledgeable, worked extremely hard and is the best ambassador for your restaurant.
The evening we went they were under staffed in the kitchen it took 45-60 to receive food after we ordered it
Not our kind of BBQ. Too smoky and the sauces weren't very good. Service was average at best and the prices are a little high for the quality of food you get.
Meal itself was great but the food and drinks took a while to show up ... we went before a concert at Honda center so maybe that was the reason why. I’d go again if I knew it wouldn’t be a crowded night
Good food and great service. The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient.
The restaurant was well decorated and looked like a great restaurant. It was our first time there - the 3 of us. Service was very good and the ambiance fine. However, you go to a restaurant for the food and it was poor - dry and lacked taste. I had the half chicken which is an easy dish to make. Even the sandwiches were dry. We won't return.
Great spot! Good food and drinks. Fun! Great service!!!
Had to flag someone to take the order after 15 minutes of servers walking by and ignoring. Simple dinner order that required dishing up already prepared meats and sides took an hour, even though dining room was only 3/4 full. When food did arrive meat was mostly cold and over cooked to the point of being leathery. Go anywhere else in the complex, trust me.
The food was good and we were seated right away. We would go back.
Perfect Fathers Day place!!
Food took ages to come out even tho the place was half full , when it eventually came out the ribs luk warm at best
Absolutely loved the "burnt ends" and the sriracha sauce (which isn't hot but has great flavor). Look forward to going back
Almost no one in the place when we got there (noon on Saturday, not a lively time in that area) so can't judge noise level. I had salmon, very tender and flavorful, and an ample portion; my meal partner had the burnt ends, a massive amount of meat. I'm not much of a beef person but I tried some and it was tasty, perhaps a bit less moist than I'd like, from all that burning.
As for drink, I tried the Mexican Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout, which was well made, although definitely an acquired taste. For the record, I didn't acquire a taste for it, at least that day. The drink menu is pretty awesome overall, though, sporting many beers and custom cocktails. You'd really need to go when the joint is jumpin' to get the full experience, since they have bands and happy hour specials etc in the evening.
Great time! Service was great!
Terrible service. Took over an hour to be served cold flavorless food. Took 30 minutes just for a drink refill.
Service was horrible. Got our dinner an hour from the time we ordered.
Not the best and not the worst I have eatten. Pretty middle of the road for St. Louis Style ribs. I expected a lot more flavor from the scrugs rub. Coleslaw very bland needed more ? Pepper didn't do much to help. Very lacking in their patio tables and "chairs". I will be nursing my aching back for quite awhile. Only high top tables with backless stools available to sit in. Super uncomfortable. Great waiting service but server didn't give her name so can not give her credit for excellent job. It is great they are pet friendly as out daughter had her dog.
We actually got sick right when we got home
We had a party of 8. One person didn't receive his drink at the beginning of the evening. He went to the buy to find it. Dinner was served to 6 of the 8. We were half way into eating our dinner and the last two people received their dinner. Waitress never checked on us. It was the manager who came by our table both times and found out we were missing our drink and last two dinners. Place wasn't crowded so not sure why the bad service.
Best service ever !!!! Outstanding job for Father in laws birthday !!!
Overall experience was great! CONS: Ribeye had to be sent back, ordered med-rare but was served rare. Pulled Pork BBQ Wrap had large chunks of pork (was expecting shredded), wasn’t easy to eat. My wife ordered 2 different wines, both mediocre at best. PROS: Ribeye was excellent when it came back cooked as ordered. Cocktails were nice and strong, but tasty. Old Crow IPA was pretty good, would like to see a few more beer options. The music was great as always, Redwood Black.
Great service and food. Nice casual environment and great place to meet up with friends.
Babyback ribs had no flavor. The place was dead and when we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation. Yes. Obviously. Not impressed
There was a group of nine of us. They served one plate at a time and the food was cold.
Our server was good but the food was awful. We had a group of six out for a business dinner. Everyone concluded that the meal was sub par. The brisket was dry and the “burnt ends” weren’t that at all. It was only dry cubes brisket. Endless to say, we will never be ping back.
I give it a four overall..we had a bad start as my family and I were seated and we were the ONLY people who were not served for at least 20minutes since we arrived. Everyone around us had food drinks and a waiter and waitress approach them. I understand they were busy and short staffed, BUT couldn’t understand why we were the ONLY people who were NOT served AND we had two servers(one waiter and one waitress) walk up to our table, say nothing, and leave. It felt as if we were being purposefully ignored. When we went to the manager he was very apologetic and offered us 50%off if we chose to stay and give them a chance. We did and the manager personally took care of our food and drinks. He gave us a card to come back for 50%off again. Although it started out bad, the manager corrected it and we will be back to try again.
On Valentine’s Day there were only 3 waitress, no hostess. I come to find out our waitress was the bus person, who stepped up to help. Kudos to her! Food was good but the service ruined it.
I couldn’t believe I was able to get a seat here on Valentine’s Day because all other restaurants were full. Now I know why...horrible service and mediocre food.
Ok and what made our waitress think being 1/2 naked on Valentine’s Day was appropriate? We could have gone to Titled Kilt or Hooters if that was what we were looking for. I had been here one other time and it was nice, this experience was enough to convince me to NEVER go back.
I made reservations for 6:30 and when I got there they seated 3 people before us without reservations. When I told her we had reservations she said I would have to wait for a table. I commented what was the point of having reservations then? What about the 3 parties before us who didn’t have reservations? She said hold on let me see if I can find you a table. She came back and gave us high top seating. However, I did ask for standard seating in my reservation. But I went ahead accepted because we had a movie to go to. Our waitress didn’t come to the table for at least 10 minutes. And when she took our drink order she didn’t come back with our drinks until 25 minutes later not once even checking in on us. A nice lady (maybe a manager) checked in on us and eventually got our drinks. Finally our “waitress” came back & took our order. It took 30 minutes to get and it was mediocre at best. She never refilled our drinks, didn’t even give us water. Felt completely neglected. I ordered another drink from the nice lady who was the only one who checked in on us. The drink was mostly ice and was gone after only a few sips. NOT worth the $12 it cost. Ridiculous. I would have given them 0 stars if I could. Only because of the nice lady who tried did they get any stars at all. But overall completely disappointed and very let down on what was supposed to be a special evening.
Food quality was the worst I have ever experienced, which is likely why they were nearly empty, when all of the nearby restaurants were completely full.
Service was inattentive
This restaurant was a auggestion and we were pleasantly surprised! We enjoyed the food and the location.
My client had a great time on the pony ride!
Overall not a bad experience. But not top notch. Long story short food was average. Service and ambiance good. Sandiwiches mich better deal and more flavorful than main meals, not to mention much better cost:volume ratio. I probably wouldn’t order a main dish again. Stick to the starters and sandwich/ burger options.
