Haven’t been here is years and my meal was excellent! Will be coming back for the salmon soon!
Ask for the Bear Room! Fried chicken was a little dry, but the collard greens, fried green tomatoes, Brussels sprouts, salmon, meatloaf, filet mignon, and bread pudding were all excellent.
They were out of a number of entrees which is abnormal, usually a great dining experience, wonderful service at the attic bar and everyone on the main dining floor.
Very nice place. Food was very good!
Food was good. Just seem to need a greeter at the door.
Great service and the food was excellent. Everyone in my party loved their entree. My steak wasn’t cooked correctly but everything else was great.
We came in for a business dinner and everyone absolutely loved the restaurant, everything from our servers Victor and Taylor, to the food, the ambience, etc. Such a wonderful place! We will be back, whether for business again or private dinner.
Lisa waited on us in the Attic Bar and she was fantastic
Food, ambiance and service were great. We started with drinks in the attic bar and then dinner on the porch, which was very enjoyable. After dinner a band was playing in the attic so we were able to go back for some great entertainment. Highly recommend.
I had organized a birthday brunch for myself & it was the best weather to have been on the patio with girlfriends while we enjoyed the amazing food & mimosas!
Food was delicious, Victor is a great server, very knowledgeable about the wine and food they sell. We will be back soon
My sister and I came to celebrate my birthday. Easily made a reservation thru OpenTable and even modified it day of with ease. Lisa was our amazing server and was very helpful and personable. She gave great suggestions and even sang happy birthday to me while bringing out the dessert. Looking forward to coming back.
Visitors from Baltimore. They enjoyed their experience.
Very lovely experience in the heart of the Vinings. Great meal and excellent service.
The ambience was wonderful & the noise level was low and conducive to talk without shouting. The food was wonderful and our waitress was very friendly and helpful
Great overall experience. Started in the attic bar, then dinner in the restaurant. Back to the bar to listen to a great band.
We were so grateful to celebrate my mother’s birthday here. The food was absolutely lovely. The service was attentive and personal. We all had such a lovely time and look forward to our next visit!
This was a cute place and the staff was obviously proud of it. My only complaint was that when we went for the Valentine's dinner on Sunday night, they were out of a lot of specials even though it wasn't late. What I got instead was the lobster dinner, which everything was really good, so I'm not too upset about it. Also, the staff was very accommodating. Would like to go back again.
I arrive at the V Inn before my reservation time, and they took us early. Great! However, that’s where the experience ended. We waited 15 minutes to be greeted, and additional 5 or more to get water. We ordered our apps and food.... and the apps cam out with our food. Some of which was cold. Although my experience wasn’t great, I’m willing to try again, because the staff apologizes and that turkey sausage was amazing.
The waitress was awful, she mumbled and totally forgot about us leaving the room for over 20 minutes twice. She took orders from two tables that came in after us, leaving us over 35 minutes before taking it. Took 10 minutes to get our drinks. The eggs Benedict’s were actually cold when we received them and while we were comped the beignets 5 were hot the 6th was cold and hard so obviously left from a previous order.
Since other tables were being tended too regularly I must surmise all of this was the waitresses failure at her job. She appeared to be half asleep when she was there so maybe she had a very late night.
I hope for the restaurants sake this was an anomaly and they are better than this normally.
We won’t be back though
We had an excellent experience at the Old Vinings Inn. We had our pre-teen (foodie) kids with us and they loved it too. Our server was Bryan and he was fantastic. The valet was equally as kind. We will be back.
Had an amazing dinner here for Valentines day. Our waitress, Lisa, was great. She was friendly, funny, welcoming, and made us feel as if we were regulars, even though it was our first time ever here.
The food was pretty good, but could have been a little warmer. The filet mignon though was excellent-cooked exactly right! Our server was friendly and did a pretty good job. My only real complaint was that we arrived on time for our 7:15 reservation but still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. It was Valentine's Day, so they were crowded. Still, you do make a reservation for a reason...
Fantastic food, great service. We will be back for dinner to try the fried chicken!
Usually great food and great atmosphere. Well this was valentines day soooo not up to usual greatness. Food was a little cold. Service was very good, but you know Valentines day soooo not as good as usual. Not servers fault just too many people on this special day.
Great place and great food! Would recommend to anyone.
We enjoyed a lovely Valentines lobster dinner. Delicious food and great service by Todd, our server.
Valentine's Day was a long wait this year unfortunately short on cooking staff but food was great
It was delicious as always. I just love this place!
We have eaten there a number of times since we moved to Atlanta and have always enjoyed our meals. The visit Sunday evening was particularly enjoyable as our friends joined us and they were very happy with the wine list and recommendations. We will be back in the near future.
Awesome experience for our 21st anniversary! We had an early reservation so we picked our own table. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, made lots of suggestions & was very attentive. The food was amazing… from the appetizer to the desert. Definitely will be making this one of our “spots!”
Good food at reasonable prices; wonderful service; quite, cozy atmosphere. Great neighborhood restaurant. , very friendly, encouraging us to come back.
My wife and I had been planning to try this restaurant for 2 years, but always changed our mind as finalized our plans. I regret that we based our decision on the outward appearance of the building, coupled with the name, The Old Vinings Inn. In retrospect, we now wish we had tried them sooner. Who aKnew???
Old Vinings Inn is a very quaint, well-established restaurant with a very friendly staff and wonderfully delicious food. Did I mention the delicious food? The fried green tomatoes and the calamari were great appetizers to start with. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits, while I had the Trout. We were very impressed. The collards were fantastic (just needed a cornbread muffin to go with it). If ai told you we cleaned the plate, it would almost be an understatement.
Thank you Ryan, Bryan, and David for making our first visit to The Old Vinings Inn a memorable experience. We will definitely be back!!! Steve & Denta
Met an out of town friend at Old Vinings Inn for Sunday dinner. It was recommended by several friends; I was seeking good food and quiet so we could talk and take our time. It was perfect. Food excellent, service attentive, and they were able to find a scotch for my friend who has specific tastes and owns a restaurant.
We had a wonderful meal and service was great! Our waitress, Michelle was very knowledgeable about the menu. We had a lot of fun and the food was great!
We enjoyed our dinner, our server was funny and attentive. Only compliant was the meatloaf was dry and bland. All the other plates were delicious. We love this spot and the upstairs attic bar, we will return
The server/service was ok. Not really going out his way to make a good impression for the restaurant. We were seated by the front door off the “lobby”. The front door would stay open after each person came through, unless someone physically closed it. It needs attention. The manager was attentive to the customers. And so was the other server.
There is a small bar area upstairs where local musicians play. That was pretty cool. Get upstairs early if you want a seat.
The Inn was a one and done occurrence. I don’t see myself going back.
We just like this for an easy neighborhood restaurant. The red snapper is wonderful and my husband loves the meatloaf. Pleasant atmosphere. I am a fried green tomato snob and did not care for their version but that is the only negative!
David, our sever, was fabulous! Food was excellent. Dessert was scrumptious!
