   We had an excellent evening celebrating our 51st anniversary at Olivers. This is the place to celebrate a special occasion in the Oakville area. We had Cesar salad, apple kale salad, steak, tartare, and fish stew as our principal dishes. All were excellent especially the Caesar salad and the steak tartare which are highly recommended. if you want to feel special and feel treated like a VIP then this is the place to go. While a bit pricey they recently changed their menu, adding a variety of new items. The wine this is extensive with many selections from the Niagara area which we like. As we left the restaurant in our Uber, we said we need to go back more often which we will. Thank you again for a wonderful evening.

    Outstanding service; beautifully designed and lovely ambiance. Food was very good; however my appetizer was not up to the standard I thought it should be. Steak was amazing. Overall a truly lovely place, and our server was exceptional. I can tell the staff puts a lot of effort and it shows. One thing, though small, is the cocktail menu is too pricy. However that may be a standard price range in Oakville, I’m not sure. I would recommend though, it is worth trying out for the impeccable service.

    i have been to oliver’s many time but was disappointed yesterday. There was a a big group that was extremely loud. No attempt was made to maintain the ambiance. Profanity in excess and my 14 daughter was present. Appetizer was missed and was told kitchen missed it. Only was aware after i brought it up. nMisplace accountability, tried to express concern and waitress deflected ( not me). experience wasn’t the best.

    Phenomenal food. Charcuterie, ceasar salad, kale salad, garlic mashed, Alberta filet and strips. Steaks were incredible. Wine by the glass prices are ridiculous. Look - it’s a pricey meal out but it’s fantastic. The only complaint I would have is the prices of wine by the glass. They’d be smart to lower that. $35 for a not so good glass of wine ?     Steak was not cooked to my liking and when we mentioned it nothing was done. The expectation when you are paying prices like this is that if it’s not done right they should try again. Definitely didn’t live up to expectations and won’t be back.

    The evening was a success. Everyone enjoyed the presentation. However, my guests thought their salad and steak would be served at the same time. When their steak arrived, it was the only thing on their plate. That was not great. It did look rather odd

    Save your money, the side portions are small, $20 for a 5 oz portion of potatoes? Total rip off compared to H60 or Jacobs. They have no issue charging $50 for water at lunch either, I also felt the staff were very cold, like they were my attacking my wallet with precision. The place was practically empty but I felt rushed with their hard approach to serving was off putting. The place looks nice, I will give them that. But that is it.     Steak was over cooked, typically wouldn’t have complained however for $100 a filet I returned. All 3 other guests were finished by the time my steak was returned cooked properly. 2 of our guests recvd their espressos and again were finished before the other recvd her cappuccino. Highly Overpriced for what we received. Truffle Mac and cheese was excellent. Would not return.

    The server and “wine guy” were excellent. The restaurant itself was exceptional. Willing to pay premium for a premium meal but it was not. Overpriced by a long shot for what we were served. Hope they figure it out eventually.
