We had an exceptional experience. The staff is extremely professional and the tasting menu was perfectly timed. They made a swap for us that really helped hit the food out of the park. We will be going back in the future.

We enjoyed all in this restaurant : food , music , and super nice people working here ! They let us time to have our 5 courses , server was perfect with us ! Food is very very good and you have very different tasting . Thank you we recommend

Food was great and fairly priced. I was expecting a “stuffier” experience, but was pleasantly surprised. Would recommend and would go back! Great spot for a smaller party or date night. The menu was big enough to have variety, but small enough that it wasn’t overwhelming. Every dish was great!

Our favourite restaurant in the city. Eveyrthing from food to service is executed with excellence and with thought and quality. We love all the dishes. There isn’t one that isn’t tasty. From the croquette (can’t have just one) to their cod to wagyu to oyster to temaki. We love doing their tasting menu as it really is designed for flavours to flow nicely. Their uni is one of the best units we have ever had in the city. And we’ve had a lot! What a wonderful spot to dine with friends or for dates or a special occasion. Highly recommend!

Delicious food - the salmon hand rolls were so good, pork jowl and wagyu beef dishes were also incredible and a decent size to share. Solid beer picks and whisky cocktail.

can’t believe this has been just down the street from me this whole time!!! tasting menu was delicious, i can’t wait to come back with some friends and show them how great everything is! i would honestly order the whole menu, everything sounds amazing and based on my experience tonight, i’ll bet it would all taste amazing. also, great music! keep doing what you’re doing! i will, and cannot wait, to come back!

Second visit here and they've expanded their menu since they first opened. The temaki were on point texturally and flavour wise (nothing like most sushi places). The fried chicken and fried cauliflower were an awesome way to end the meal and fill up a little bc the amount of handrolls you'd probably have to eat to be full adds up. I love Omai’s cold dish specially sushi roll. The rice is perfectly done, raw material is fresh. They menu is range from tradition Japanese to comfort food like bavette and fried chicken. Recommand this place.

We stopped by for a late Saturday night dinner, and felt at home right away. We ordered a bottle of sake from their diverse and thoughtfully selected list, and enjoyed that alongside a variety of temaki and dishes from the kitchen. Service was discreet, yet attentive and warm. Highly recommend; by far the best restaurant on Baldwin Street at the moment!
