One Fine Food
I have been here three times now. Each time has been exactly what we were looking for. It’s so hard to find pizza like this. You typically have to go all the way to Toronto for proper Napoleon pizza. New favourite restaurant! We drive out from Port Hope!
The service was excellent!
Wonderful restaurant and store - go earlier than your reservation so you have time to shop.
This was a "meet in the middle" for a friend and myself who live quite far away from each other. I let the server know that our visit there would be longer than most and he made us feel so welcome to stick around. All 3 of us enjoyed the meals we ordered - VERY GOOD INDEED. The service was EXCELLENT - we were well looked after and never felt rushed. We'll be back!
House salad, calamari, bucatini pasta were all fabulous. The service was friendly, helpful and prompt. I always find the noise level high (acoustics) although I noticed the chairs now have rubber feet to reduce the grating noise of chairs scraping on the flooring. Very much appreciated.
Menu is not extensive, but gives ample choices for each course.
Food that was to be hot when eaten was hot when it arrived, something that seems to be dwindling in other restaurants.
Service was on point, with no hovering while the three of us at the table ate and gabbed.
Questions were poised to our server, who checked for the answers if she wasn't 100% sure.
I live 60 Km from the restaurant, as did the others with me. All are headed back to One Find Food when we find ourselves in Peterborough - perhaps sooner than anticipated.
Everything was wonderful except it was soooo noisy. Look into ways to reduce the noise level please.
Outstanding food! Great service! Very reasonable prices
Great place for a brunch birthday celebration. The food was excellent and the staff were a great blend of helpful and discrete.
Came in for our 20th Anniversary and had an excellent meal. Our server was Catherine(?) and she was friendly and helpful. We were very pleased, thank you very much!
We enjoyed our meal immensely. Felt a little rushed though by the waitress. Have bragged about One to everyone we know. Absolutely LOVE the pizza!!
wonderful pit stop and will be back. Attentive service that was also friendly without being intrusive. Duck salad was great value - just maybe a tad too much dressing but it's a very good dressing so all's good. Would love it if they did a grilled calamari - though my friend enjoyed his breaded platter very much. And the 12-year old with us really enjoyed his sandwich. So the menu appeals to all. As does the fine food store.
Lovelovelove this place! Great shopping, great dining - wonderful!
I have already recommended you to a couple of people. I thought it was a bit expensive, because ours was over $80 with only one glass of wine for one of us, not the driver, however getting this type of Food Quality is rare and I will come to you again.
I was excited to have the duck salad. The duck was very fatty which was a little disappointing. When the fat was cut away the duck meat was very tender and tasty. The greens were very good. The coffee was perfect. I would definitely eat at One Fine Food again and ask to serve pieces of duck with less or no fat.
We are fair regulars and enjoy the pizza very much. This time, the service was a little sloppy (needed to ask for the oil/vinegar and candle for e.g.). It can be a noisy place but that's okay; it's quite casual.
Food was awsome , we both enjoyed our meals. The new ravioli was great.
The food was amazing. Our waiter was new and did a great job. I would highly recommend this place.
Birthday lunch for my mom. She loved it!
Great food, friendly staff, had to wait awhile to be seated even with reservations. One visitor had a gluten allergy. Could have been offered a non gluten substitute for the table bread. Gorgonzola pizza superb!
Bottle of wine much more expensive than buying 8oz glasses for the same volume of wine.
Enjoyed finding a new place to dine in Peterborough. Service was excellent. Appetizer was excellent and can't wait to try another.
Lamb shank was very tender and flavour was complimented by sauce and pea shoots. Can't wait to return to try other entrees and especially the pizza and salads. Have already recommended to friends and family.
Tables have been increased in seating area and are very close to each other, almost too close
The Open Table online reservation system works very well but could be improved with the ability to book beyond the current month. My first visit was for a birthday lunch for a friend who loves Italian food. We both enjoyed the veal cutlet sandwich & I LOVED the house salad. Great gelatos too! Our server was polite but friendly, attentive but didn’t rush us. Will definitely return!
Noon last Friday; glad i reserved online. Catherine, our server, was awesome; she was in tune with everything; she knew the menu, the specials, and how everything was prepared, and didn’t have to write anything down. My veal scaloppini was flavourful and I definitely recommend it.
In short, I will return and I’ve recommended this restaurant to my friends. It is well lit inside, the tables and chairs are comfortable, and it’s CLEAN everywhere ! First thing I do after being seated is wash my hands; if the men’s room is spotlessly clean then I’ll stay, if not, auf wiedersehen baby. Enough said, go there and be happy.
Our server was excellent and the food was very flavourful
Pizza is the best in town! Service was the excellent! Highly recommend this restaurant and think it currently ranks number 1 in Peterborough.
We really enjoyed our visit. The food and the entire experience was outstanding. My husband said that his dinner was the best food he’s ever had at a restaurant. So thanks so much. We will be back.
Service was slow for lunch time when people need to get in and out in an hour. Ordered the peach salad which was greens, grilled peaches and onion, with almost no dressing on it. The sweet potato soup was outstanding.
Last time i was there i ordered a Wagyu burger and it was raw (blue) in the middle. When i asked the server about it, he said it was supposed to be served that way. While i agree Kobi/Wagyu should be medium rare i didn't want it raw.
so overall - i would rate it as inconsistent in quality, with mediocre service
Excellent value and service. The pizza was great. Would recommend this restaurant anytime.
Nice ambience for Peterborough...nice decor, music, setting.
Pizza was completely different from last time...crispy and greasy like Pizza Hut but for twice the money. They have a beautiful pizza oven from Italy but not a pizza chef who knows how to use it.
The gorgonzola pizza was the best pizza I have ever tasted, absolutely amazing. I have been craving another ever since we had it. Will be going back again for sure (either for pickup or eat in).
Our server Sheena is one of the best server we have ever had anywhere! The food was delicious as always.
We had just driven in from Toronto where we stayed at The Hazelton and ate their restaurant One which was not good at all.
We highly recommend One Fine Food for every meal from Brunch to Dinner.
There should be a vegetarian pasta option beside risotto. Having said that my daughter had the ravioli minus the speck and it was delicious. Great pizza as always and super friendly servers.
We had brunch here today and it was excellent our server Katherine was great as always and very accommodating in getting our eggs Benedict as we wanted. We had such a nice meal we went back after our errands for dinner.
Another fine meal with best service staff!
The food was delicious and service great!
Great pizza. Yummmmm
Love this restaurant - for the first time the kitchen seemed a bit slow, but great wait staff. The food is always fabulous.
Overall a very good experience. My husband and I were very happy to discover this restaurant while searching Peterborough restaurants on Google. Normally we venture to the city for our dining excursions but were thrilled to find a restaurant with local ingredients attached to a market and cafe.
The lighting is a bit too much like a cafeteria and I would suggest dimming it and adding some candles on the tables for the evening. The menu is lovely with wonderful gluten free options, homemade pizza, beautiful appetizers and a variety of mains and desserts.
My husband had the scallop to begin and I had the Burrata caprese. Both dishes didn't disappoint and were well plated and balanced in flavour. For our mains ordered a lovely seafood soup similair to a bouillabaisse and my partner a pizza. he absolutely raved about the pizza. My main was good with the seafood cooked perfectly yet the dish was a bit off balance with nothing to counter the acidic nature of the tomato and charred lemon.
Disappointments? The staff need to be taught high end service but are quite friendly and attentive ( little things like bringing sparkling water and leaving it on the table without opening it or pouring it ).
Biggest disappointment was being told that I could not order half of the dessert menu as the " kitchen was now closed". Would have been nice to been given a head's up or my preference ... kitchen has dessert available until the last table has ordered.
All in all a welcome addition to Peterborough and we will be back!
First time at One Fine Food. We had a great time together with our friends. Jessica is a sweetheart. Very nice ambassador for One Fine Food. We look forward to be back again:)
