Food was unique and delicious. The noise level was really high and I would not recommend going with a large party more than 2 people.
I was really excited to come to this place after I learned that Josiah Citrin took over. The setting is amazing! Great for a date or just hanging out with friends. The food was fabulous and the brunch with unlimited food items from a cart was a great idea. I had the waffle and chicken and I like the idea of making it a healthier version. My sister had the smoked salmon Benedict and nothing special about it but my sister enjoyed it. The different appetizers with yogurt and parfaits in tiny cups are a great touch. We were able to try the avocado toast, oysters (so good), healthy version of a smoked salmon sandwich, and the different parfaits- the chia seed with fresh berries was also delicious. Our wait staff (two different ones) were very gracious and polite- they didn’t rush us even though a big private party was starting to set up- thank you Patrick and whoever relieved you! The only reason I did not give this place a perfect score was because of my encounter with the hostess and manager. The hostess called me at 11:30am on the day of my reservation to say that they cannot seat me and my party in the greenhouse just as I requested and confirmed a week prior. I asked why I was not called sooner about this and she apologized but I persisted on wanting to be seated in the green house. She then explained that she could talk to her manager to allow us to sit inside but we have to be out by 3pm. I agreed and even said we will try to get there sooner (my reservation was at 2pm). Thirty minutes later, the manager called me and said he couldn’t seat us in the green house at all in spite of my previous conversation with the hostess. He explained that a private event has been booked at 3pm and they can only seat us at the pool- I was devastated and frustrated. I’m sure they did not intend to make my life difficult but my only request was to inform me sooner. I also know Josiah but didn’t even bother to explain that to feel important.
Sooooo much potential. Food amazing, service, meh. Server super friendly and nice so it wasn’t an attitude thing it was just sloooooow. Slow to get drinks, slow to get drinks offered to be reordered. Had to flag server down to order apps and had to ask server assistant to have server come over and take dinner order. Once order was in we did not see server until our last dishes were done. No check back. It was a celebration and we did more work to get food (and revenue) on the table then the staff did. Our three top was $230 pre gratuity
I was really looking forward to trying this place because of the indoor/outdoor vibe and there were Michelin star chefs attached. However, the food disappointed. The salmon was below average, the steak was OK and the salads were average. The best thing on the menu is the octopus. And the dessert was yummy. The main thing that saved it was the ambience and the other people that sat by us in the restaurant, who were all really fun. I unfortunately won’t be back.
Overall nice experience. The seating was all dirty with stain marks everywhere
Their brunch special is totally worth it! The mimosas were delicious and to be able to get little treats off the cart on top of a delicious meal made me very happy that I came with an empty belly. Everything was lovely including ambiance.
Loved it but music could be lower
We went there on 06/11/19 8pm and the server for our table was very rude.
We ordered food little late because we were waiting one more friend. When she arrived the server came to our table and said “are you FINALLY ready?” in sarcastic tone.
She also said “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” when one of my friends was ordering. The place was loud and we are not native English speakers - I understand it could be hard to hear what he was saying but the server didn’t even try to get close to him or anything, just stood there ignoring my friend.
It was his birthday and I cannot believe how the server could be straight up rude, especially the restaurant is in the centre of Ktown.
Food was pretty good but not sure I’d go back to the place treated their customers like that.
Nice restaurant, great service and awesome food! Hope can visit again soon
Our server Patrick was great. All of the waitstaff was attentive, helpful and kind! Everyone in my party had a wonderful time!
Took my girlfriend out for our anniversary/prom date and it could not disappoint. This place is a must if you want to enjoy good food and great service. Don’t be afraid to come, very amazing place. For an average meal for to for dinner it’s about $120 and valet parking is $10 for 2 hours. Please go and check this place out!
I had to wait more than an hour and a half for my food. It was severely loud and waiters take a long time to attend you. Food was mediocre, not the best I’ve had.
Beautiful space but food is mediocre, at best. Prices are way too high for the quality of the food. You’re essentially just paying for an Instagram photo and nice ambiance.
Wow! Amazing dinner and ambiance. Looking forward to coming back and trying different dishes.
Excellent food - every dish we had was unusual and delicious. Great atmosphere - in a lovely glass greenhouse located on an outdoor terrace by the hotel pool.
Great food. Nice interior, kind people
Beautiful garden setting on the terrace of a cool boutique hotel. Loved the fresh pasta. Parking at the hotel is very expensive.
Josiah is one of the best chefs out there. The food was mix between charcoal and melise. The wine list was notable, cocktails inspired. The dessert menu was a lackluster we ordered the tapioca $14 that and the hierloom tomato salad are the two reasons im giving 4 stars instead of 5 the other reason is when a chef goes to a high restaurant you always send out some kind of amuse, they knew who i was but never made any gesture besides the acknowledgment of saying hello.
I was not impressed by the quality of the service at all. The food tickets were not timed properly and our orders were coming out very sporratically (and cold). We ordered steak and potatoes, but got the potatoes 15 mins after ordering the steak.
We had to ask for the pre-fix menu 3 times before actually getting it.
Prices are very high for that level of service. To be honest, Denny's can probably execute the timing of orders better than this place. I was hoping to make a reservation for Commissary, but learned it was opennaire instead. I was willing to give it a chance, but it seems the quality of service and food went down and the pricing went up MAJORLY. Too expensive for what it is...
Took 15 mins to get attention from the server at first and 40 mins to get my sandwiches and pasta. It’s way too much time in waiting for food even with very few customers. However, the food was made with fresh ingredients with amazing flavors.
Beautiful spot even on a grey day. Service was friendly but incredibly slow, took waiter 15+ minutes to greet or bring water, despite the table next to us being seated same time and greeted fairly promptly. Forgot to put in food order it seemed as well. Well overpriced and limited brunch options for veg folks. Wouldn’t go back.
We were celebrating our anniversary.
We both opted for the unlimited selection from the cart.
We both really enjoyed our entrees and the food from the cart. We were told there was about 25 different selection s that would continuously change. We were a little disappointed the selection never changed the whole time we were there. We were there about 1.5 hours.
The atmosphere was like being in a greenhouse and was very cool.
The waiter accidentally charged for something we didn't order and was not as readily available as we had hoped. However other staff members were more attentive.
I requested an outside table and they luckily were able to accommodate me, so the noise level was relatively low. I could tell inside, however, those seats would’ve been much louder due to the ambience of the bar atmosphere.
Our waiter Chris made the experience very magical and was a absolute treat. He was very well-versed in the different meals that were offered and his suggestions really hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this spot it to anyone looking to relax.
I wish they could’ve found a blanket for my girlfriend but Chris was able to get the heater above our heads working so it really wasn’t too big of a deal
Horrendous. Worst experience I have EVER had in my entire life eating out. I will just give you highlights for what was almost comical it was so horrific.
-No wait staff attended to us
-Waited ONE HOUR to NOT get food
-Empty water glass, no food after over an hour (we ordered salads?!)
-Asked for Manager who never came so I had to go back to the kitchen to get any response from literally anyone
-Many tables walking out upset who never got food
-Starving I asked for bread which was delivered in a to go box
-Finally got food within minutes of us having to leave for a show to be given our salads in to go boxes?!
Venue was awesome. Food was delish! Unfortunately the kitchen was backed up and we did not receive our food for over and hour and a half. The service staff was great and did what they could to make up for it.
Took over a half hour to get a glass of wine. One steak with no sides of anything was $46. Steak wasn't even that good. But truly the service was horrendous, so under staffed. Would not go back.
The food was good but the servers were bad. They were so uncoordinated. Slow for every table and I at least heard 3 tables complaining for the seevice. And yes indeed everything was so slow on our table too.
Extremely rude waiter
Before booking a reservation I had called the restaurant to confirm their moving cart brunch special. The hostess that I spoke to mentioned they will extend the brunch & moving cart to Monday for Memorial Day weekend. I then proceeded to make a reservation through open table after. I called again on Saturday to confirm the moving cart/brunch would be on Monday and the hostess I spoke to then mentioned yes they will have the moving cart brunch on Monday. I was excited to take my fiancé there to try it out for the first time.
We came on Monday at our reservation time and the hostess said they did NOT have the moving cart for that day. I was frustrated at the fact I called twice on two separate days to confirm it. We ended up sitting since we were already there. I spoke to the manager on site and told him about the situation. He mentioned that they didn’t have enough staff to cover the moving cart on Monday and they made the decision on Saturday. I told him I even called on Saturday and was not notified of them not doing the moving cart anymore. Due to the inconvenience, he gave us a small plate of food from the “moving cart” to make up for that. The manager handled the situation well.
After, it literally took 15 mins for our server to even check in on us and to take our drinks. The server himself was super slow and our food came out more than 30 mins later. Other tables that I noticed that we’re sat and ordered after us got their food before us. The weird thing is that it wasn’t even that busy when we got there. There were still a lot of open tables that weren’t filled.
Not a good first impression, but the food was decent. That is the only reason I will give this place another chance. Hopefully their service and communication to customers will be improved.
Our waiter gave us all our drinks on the house since our food came out a little late. To be honest, my friends and I didn't really notice, but our waiter was the sweetest. Definitely coming back!
Amazing food. amazing atmosphere. very loud, but worth every bite. very nice and knowledgable wait staff. we would go back in a minute, if we lived closer.
Loved sitting in the greenhouse. The Spanish octopus was delicious!
Delicious pre-fixe meal, with generous portions, presented by great staff
We waited an hour and 15 minutes PAST our reservation time to be seated (we were a party of only 3). The host staff offered us nothing for waiting - no snacks or drinks. They do not care at all that you are waiting. No "I'm sorry", absolutely nothing. By 30 minutes past our reservation, we were starving and we had to practically beg (asked twice) for a snack. The wait staff was great though. Very kind and thorough. Once we finally sat down, our waitress was great. If I ever go back though, it'll be to sit by the pool and have a drink. I won't ever make a reservation there again.
Ahhh my favorite spot for brunch. Their chef and bartenders are so creative with their creations. I decided to do the brunch entree, unlimited cart, and bottomless cocktail combo for 55$. Service got a little slow...but I think this was mainly due to how busy the restaurant was. Ambiance of this place is great. food is great. I’d come back 1000 times.
everything about our meal here was great! the food was fantastic, service spot on, drinks very good & a great space. will definitely go back.
The atmosphere is amazing and super cute. It looks like you’re eating in a green house. The food was amazing! I’ll definitely be coming back in the near future.
Beautiful restaurant! Great for indoor or outdoor seating. The Corn Flake French Toast and Vegetarian Sandwich were great! The Chicken & Waffles and Eggs Benedict lacked flavor but were still decent. Nothing we ate was "bad" really. Prices were reasonable so that was a plus. Service was just ok. All the servers were friendly enough but they use communal service so we didn't have one dedicated server and that ended up being a bit of a problem as it ended up taking ages to get our drinks and drink refills. I would still recommend the restaurant for the value and atmosphere alone.
Had an amazing time at openaire celebrating my friend's birthday. The food there was amazing and the service was good, one thing was that it took a bit of awhile to get someone to order. Another thing was even though we had a reservation we still had to wait 10-15 mins, that was annoying. Other than that we had a great time! Will be going back again.
A great place for date night -inside or outside -it is consistently good
