   My wife and I booked Ophelia for our first wedding anniversary, as it has great reviews and intriguing social media profile. The restaurant itself is beautiful; views are stunning and the food was amazing. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely terrible - specifically our waitress. When she initially came to our table, she didn’t introduce herself, didn’t ask how we were doing, did not engage at all. The first thing she said was literally, “ready to order?”. She never once came to check on our table throughout the evening. We had to order our meal and drinks through the people that were bussing the tables around us. She also didn’t even drop the food off to our table. When our food arrived she didn’t check in with us to ask if it was tasting good, or if we needed anything else. When it came time to pay the bill she immediately came over, brought the machine and pointedly hovered over us, overtly watching my wife enter her payment info, to ensure a tip was given. Because of her behaviour, we felt too uncomfortable to enter the tip amount we believed the service was deserving of, as the waitress had an extremely confrontational air about her. Furthermore, despite my wife clearly asking for the bill, she sexistly presented me with it. It was extremely disappointing to experience this level of passive aggression, unwarranted attitude, and complete inattention, given that all other aspects of the restaurant exceeded our expectations. Sadly, people really make or break a dining experience and unfortunately she did just that, break it. We will not be returning to Ophelia, neither will we recommend it to our friends and family. We will tell people to beware of the treatment they will receive should they book. Your wait staff needs to do better. I would mention her name, but again she never gave it to us.

   It’s shared plates, not formal seating. Portions are expensive and small. You get 2 hrs for table, there were 8 of us and we were enjoying the scenery, conversation 70 mins in and were basically told to leave if we didn’t order more food or drinks. Staff are rude drinks v expensive $24 on average

   The food was great. The drinks were excellent. Bar and table service left much to be desired as an African American female who tips 25% . I don’t need to go here again, I just satisfied a curiosity by going to “show off nyc rooftop spots to my friends visiting from Park City UT and TCU in TX. The experience was “meh.” We waited a loooong time to get drinks from the bar while waiting for our tiny and crowded high top table (and we were 15 late to our 7pm reservation). Everything was “fine” and we ate well but waited a loooong time in between plates. We just don’t need to go back and we definitely don’t want to tell others because service wasn’t on point.

   The views were incredible and the seating was very classy and comfy. The server was very fun and gave us a great experience. I recommend a reservation once the sun starts setting because in some seats you can get a bad glare from the sun. Great for a date or a group of friends.

    The drinks and the views were amazing. Went for Mother’s Day and was very disappointed at the potion sizes we received for the price. For $120 we received 10 to 15 bite-sized portions of food the size of a crostini. The staved steak on the crostini was cold, the app with caviar was basically a bite size quiche with caviar on it. The waffle desert was very good so that helped fill us up. Wouldn’t go here for anything but a drink and enjoy the view.

    Very poor service and bad food. Place was dirty. We paid for 5 mother's day specials but only got served 2. Table was supposed to be reserved but was none available. Bathroom was dirty and had no toilette paper. Staff simply ignores customers. My wife and I used to go there years ago when we were dating can't believe how horrible this place is now.     Went here for Mother's Day Brunch. The only negative thing I'd have to say was the food is nothing to be excited or rave about. Definitely not worth the $59 per person as there is not a lot of food. Overall though the service is great, the waitress was very friendly, and the ambiance is really nice which is the main reason we went to this rooftop bar. I'd recommend this place, just don't get excited about the food.

    We ordered the Pre-fix for Mother's Day and had to wait over 30 minutes for the food. I actually had to go to the manager and inform her that we were waiting for the food. The vibe was great. Views were amazing.

    The mother day brunch was really disappointing; food was quite minuscule (probably five bites of crostini per person). To compensate we had a quite large waffle and muffin, but they were over sweet and did not feel fresh made at all. Service was fine. They were also out of cappuccino and any coffee drink outside of black coffee. We could feel they operated like a bar, but if they do a brunch special, it should feel like brunch…

    As we were celebrating our anniversary, I requested intimate seating. I didn’t consider the ottomans in the middle of the staff’s walkway to be very intimate. (Although the view was nice) I did ask if there were any other seating arrangements available but the hostess was dismissive, a bit snappy. Despite this unacceptable attitude, after this I waited about another 15 minutes for someone to take our order, before ultimately leaving. What a shame, as I was looking forward to celebrating my occasion at Ophelia.

    Everything was great food, view, music and drinks... The hostess was helpful with the seating and view we wanted. Just wish the waitress was more attentive as she hardly came around glad the busboy was around as they were more attentive with our night..

    Great views. And the food was quite good. The cocktails fun and inventive. But the service was AWFUL. Like, not enough A’s in awful! Slow. Inattentive. Missed items. And an attitude of pure indifference that killed what should be a great place.

    Watch out if you are brown skin. I will say the Bartender was very. nice and pleasant, but his LemonDrop was not on point. The waitresses not so much. I got there before my date and sat at the bar for like 20mins. When my date arrived I paid the bartender. As I was walking to our reserved table a waitress asks if I paid for my drink at the bar. I said yes. We sat a a tiny table, the decor is a little dated, we ordered Spinach & Artichoke Dip and Lamb Chops, plus 2 drinks, the Amaretto Sour was good. We paid cash, but as we were waiting for the elevator, right in front of the bar, another waitress, not the one that had been tending to us all night, asked if we paid. Not cool. Quite embarrassing actually, to have someone run up to you to ask if you paid FOR THE 2ND TIME, when you did.

    Once we were sat, we had a reservation, it took o0ver 10n minutes to get someone to come over to give us water. We had to actually ask if someone could take our drink order. I also told them prior to the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and it was completely ignored. Great views, wouldn't recommend if you're looking for good service.

    Everything we had (ribeye, prawn tacos, caviar bites) was delicious. Outdoor table with a view of the city (or the East River, depending on where you sit) is immaculate. Highly recommend!

    The atmosphere is hard to beat, and the views are spectacular. However, while your time limit for the table - 2 hours- is clearly communicated when you're seated, they don't tell you it will take 20 minutes for someone to take your order, you will not be asked if you would like another drink, and the busser tries to clear your dishes when they are still half full.

    Visiting the city and chose this based on the reviews and views and it did not disappoint. Sea bass skewers were our favorite thing we had - all food was delicious and plated beautifully. Drinks were great also!

    Such a a beautiful location but we were tucked against the inner wall and not on the outer circle. When asked to move when people left we were told tables were reserved. We had also reserved. The food was tasty but quantity was very small for the $80 price for the sharing experience. The service was great.
