We dined at Opus in early November '23 and opted for the 7 course tasting menu. I opted for cocktails while my partner did the optional wine pairing. For mains, one of us had the lobster and the other had short rib (the rest of the courses were set). The food came out at a good pace - we had plenty of time to talk and enjoy each dish but never felt as though the dinner was lagging. We don't typically enjoy "fine dining" but we really enjoyed the flavors and presentation of everything that came out from the kitchen. There was nothing that came out that was a miss and we really enjoyed savoring each dish. Chef Franklin came out from the kitchen after the meal and talked to each table, which was a very cool touch. My expectations were high going into the dinner and they were all exceeded. We look forward to dining at Opus again!

We love tasting menus and wine pairings and this was truly at the level we have seen in major cities! Seems incredible it’s here!! It is expensive but the price is consistent with the quality and other tasting menus. Special evening of creative cuisine!

When you are in the mood to spoil yours taste buds, this is the place to go. Franklin, the chef, is incredible when it comes to unusual and enticing courses. They are labor intensive, made with an artistic flair and absolutely wonderful on the tongue. I definitely would do the wine pairings. Michael, my server, was great at timing the courses perfectly and explaining their preparation and ingredients in a mouth-watering style. This restaurant is a real gem and I will definitely be returning. Really...who thinks up using an ingredient that doesn't exist? Franklin does. He comes up an idea (such as chive flower vinegar or pine needle sorbet) and uses it in a course which showcases the new taste sensation perfectly. What a treat. I just can''t wait to do this again.

We had been trying to get to Opus for a while now and are so delighted we finally made it. The room is simple and lovely with a view of the excellent chef fixing our well plated, delicious, meal. Timing was good and wine pairing well done and certainly complimented the food. We have experienced several such meals in Chicago and Opus is competitive! We will be back and recommend the dining experience for a very special evening.

We did the 5 course meal with wine pairings. The wines were outstanding! The food was clever and very pretty. Our table all had the short ribs and I have to admit we were disappointed. Looked delicious- but not a lot of flavor.

Excellent setting for a 7 course tasting menu, we also had the wine pairing and were happy with the progression and choices for the wines. Service was outstanding and the overall experience was excellent. Some of the courses were mouthwatering and extremely tasty.

We had an incredible dinner for two birthday celebrations. Our server was spot on and very knowledgeable. The chef prepared some of the best food I have tasted in the area. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Have Never spent $100/meal. girls night out w/Belfry house. Open to a new experience. The 2 of us were the only ones there. Steak and Sea bass were fine dinner choices for us, however, the fish was 2x2x1" size, and 4 thin slices of beef. The appetizer was a joke to us, the 2nd course was raw fish and seaweed combo which we don't eat, the 3rd course was asparagus w/sauce - lovely but the 3rd course? The main meal had a dollop of spinach puree and sauted zucchinni. Dessert was lovely but small with a tablespoon of ice cream w/cookie crumbs. Called to say we were disappointed that there was no choice of anything other than main dish. Worst $100. each of us have spent, EVER. Lake Geneva area would have been Better.

The food was delicious. A tasting menu that was just the right amount not too much or too little. The service was spot on letting us take as much time as we wanted. the ambience elegant and subdued. We have been to tasting menus in Chicago and this was perfect

Exquisite. This restaurant deserves at least one Michelin star. Intimate, elegant and beautiful setting. Thoughtful and gracious service, making the customer feel like royalty yet comfortable. The dinner was flawless and prepared to perfection. The chef's menu was creative, the food delicious and meticulously prepared. We were able to watch the chef from our seats. We have dined at many Michelin star restaurants in the US and in Europe and Canada. This restaurant feels like stepping into Europe. Highly recommend. We will be back. Thank you!

Everything about this place was great. Note that the portions are very small... both wine and course servings, smaller than normal small portions. For the price, the portions both food and drink should be 25% larger, to make what would be considered a normal small portion. Buying a second glass of a matched wine was more expensive and YES EVEN SMALLER!

Such a beautiful dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The good paired well with the wine. I’m so glad we added that to our experience. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The meal was very well paced and not too much. Would definitely recommend staying at the hotel there as well.

The food presentation was outstanding!!! We had 5 course dinner which was not filling though. The service was good but we had to wait almost 10 minutes to be seated upon arrival as the attendant was busy helping guests at hotel. Nice touches such as champagne while we waited and comfortable seats added to ambiance. The wine pairing was excellent with adequate pours. Will wait to go back on special occasion.

Absolutely a hidden gem. Expensive but worth every penny, easily one of the best multi course meals / wine tasting dinners we have ever had in Wisconsin and probably top 5 ever. Look forward to our next visit.

An exquisite example of a tasting menu. Our table of four were well served by Leslie, and the dishes were attractive and tasty. We particularly enjoyed the Mushroom Cappuccino, but it was all well done. Worth the drive, and a superb place for a celebration.

Our dinner at The Opus was an experience not just a meal. The relaxed and yet pampering environment was perfect. Our server Skylar was personable, attentive and knowledgeable. She met all of our needs often without us asking. The open kitchen enabling us to watch Chef Kim work his magic made us appreciate his talent. The food was delicious and imaginative. We highly recommend the restaurant, hotel and the music hall next door. We will be back.
