We go to Oretta regularly and this is only the second time we had brunch. I would've given the visit 5/5, if not for the Salmon & Avocado that I felt was lacking something. I've had it before at the King St. West location and it was underwhelming at the Midtown.

We all had and amazing experience last night at Oretta! The food was phenomenal, the atmosphere was really lively. Our Server Sevana was so kind and welcoming to us and made the overall experience even more enjoyable. Overall was probably one of the best experiences at an establishment that I have had. Will definitely be coming back again!

We tried many items on the Aperitivo menu. Most of them are taste pretty good, especially the pizza. The white and the red wine are good but the rosé could be better.

I was excited to try something new though I was underwhelmed by the food, the noise level (you could barely hear people talk at your table), and though the wait staff are friendly, there are so many gaps in their service. The Piemonte pizza I had was delicious, but was only warm when they brought it so it was clearly not served fresh and hot out of the pizza oven. A friend ordered the Capricciosa pizza with a gluten free crust that was like cutting into cardboard. The toppings on her pizza were sparse at best (personally I would have sent it back it was very poor looking as well) and she ended up eating very little of it. Another at our table ordered the Salmone e Avocado which looked great (though quite small) and the menu said it comes with an arugula & fennel salad which was more of a garnish than a salad. Another person ordered Pane Tostato Con Avocado (avocado toast)..the toast was toasted so much that she could barely saw through it...again, I would have sent it back. If sourdough bread is toasted so much that you can't cut through it...what is the point? One dessert that looked great was the Torta di Limone. It was presented beautifully and looked delicious. I ordered the lemon gelato which was lemon ice and should not have been called a gelato, as gelato has cream and is creamy...this was lemon ice. I wish I were told, I would not have ordered it. When 3 desserts arrived, we were not given cutlery and the 4th person was still waiting on their dessert (torta di limone). When I had ordered my gelato, I had asked for the "small" as there was a sign on the Gelato cart of what size you could order...though the waitress said it is only one size in the restaurant. (So why do they have a sign on the gelato cart advertising various sizes?) There were other dishes I might liked to have tried on another visit, though I am not sure I will give this restaurant another try in the future

we had the best server her name was Dominique. She was on tap with everything she was pleasant. She was wonderful with taking our orders and she allowed us to have a wonderful brunch. Just a really wonderful server. The waffles were a little overly sweet but the rest of the food was very good and very tasty .

This was my third time at Oretta, and will be my last. The ambiance and food is very good. However, today there was hair embedded into my eggs and when I told Waiter, he took it away, and gave me another plate with NO apologies. Couldn’t finish the food as I was a little grossed out for putting hair in my mouth from the first dish . I paid the bill with no fuss but there was absolutely no compensation for the unfortunate experience. At least 50% off dish or a free dessert. Obviously they don’t care about customers returning! So I won’t come back !

Food was excellent and service amazing. The restaurant had an amazing ambience, however tables are quite close together so not much space to get by. Have to avoid hitting people's chairs and tables while dining.

The food was excellent, as good as any Italian restaurant in midtown Toronto. The service was even better, both our server and a very helpful wine steward. Nothing was at all rushed, and our full dinner was delightful in every way.

I have been to Oretta in the past but yesterday we waited over half an hour till a server even acknowledged our table. Then confusion with what coffee belonged to each person. My aunt is lactose intolerant so we had to ensure she got the one with almond milk. Also restaurant was so noisy it was not conducive to our family reunion. Otherwise food was good.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service provided by the staff. When we arrived, we were 30 minutes late due to traffic congestion and called the restaurant six times to convey this message, but no one answered the call. When we reached the restaurant, the host made us wait for some time to put this right. Although the food was tasty and the ambience was great, the staff was unprofessional. The staff person who was taking our order left us waiting for another 8 minutes to attend to the lady at the next table. I would appreciate it if you could address these issues and ensure that your staff is better equipped to handle such situations in the future. Thank you.”

Very popular spot on a Friday night! Happy hour is excellent value( 4-7 Monday to Friday) Food was very tasty. Server let us stay and chat….didn’t push more food or drinks on us. Tables are pretty( too?) close together - quite loud so not a place to go for the quiet dining experience but a lot of fun nonetheless.

I guess it simply isn’t my type of resto.The menu excludes some items I enjoy such as sandwiches … even Italian sandwiches! It would be nice to have this on a lunch menu. The food is very tasty, with the branzino added to my warm radicchio salad nicely prepared. However, my main criticism is that the protein add-ons such as the branzino are simply much too expensive. I have never experienced these kinds of prices before and I eat in nice restos frequently. Our service was lovely though she could perhaps have removed our plates a little more quickly. All in all , a lovely outing with my sisters, but I’ll likely not return as this was my second attempt at lunch. Like I said, it’s simply not my type of restaurant.

The restaurant was very good. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The pasta dishes were good portion size and very tasty. It was a little noisy and we experienced a bit of a draft when the side door was opened.... these are minor points, however. The overall dining experience was terrific.

Neither of my guests enjoyed their porchetta, beans, eggs and toast. Said the beans tasted like the tin can they came from and the porchetta was tough. My smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, avocado with brioche was a small serving, but was fine. The potatoes, my mother's cappuccino and the pistachio bombolini were the best parts of the meal.

Space is outstanding. Servers are very sweet although small things were forgotten. Calamari was food is delicious but French toast is nice presentation but it is dry. However, I will definitely try this restaurant again.
