   Great food, great place! I’ve been to both locations I prefer the vibe on king! Both locations seem to not have very good waiters unfortunately! Need to hire more experienced established waiters.

   Food good , service was not good. Food orders were wrong and mistimed and food had to get sent back and remade. The length of time between salad and mains were over 1 hour.

   As usual, a delicious meal and excellent service! My moms 70th birthday was so special! Our server was fantastic, making the evening special, asking questions for us, making excellent recommendations. The food was so delicious and great portions!    I love the ambience at Oretta King - they recently redid their patio and it is so stunning with the new florals. Our servers went above and beyond (Justin and Victoria) to make sure our experience was memorable. We went for aperitivo hour and enjoyed our drinks and some desserts. The Tiramisu di Brontë was exceptional and we will be back for the incredible vibes. Grazie team!

   French toast was the only good thing I tried, do not get lemon cakes its so tiny and not worth the money also not that good, pizza was basic. took 30 mins for a server to even acknowledge our presence but we were the only black people in there so I guess we should have expected the King St treatment. Also super loud in there I had to yell to even speak to the person sitting right in front of me. Would not recommend.

    the fritelle was $20 and it was awful. The portion is the size of an appetizer but they charge prices of a main. The waitress does not know her menu well because she advised that the fritelle would be enough for a main but it was so small that we were really disappointed by the choice. The ice latte was super good though and the staff were really nice. Would not re-visit which is unfortunate

    Awful food, some of it was unedible, cokctails were terrible, I left mine, could nit drink it, too expensive for what it offered, poor quality, service was poor. Too noisy, impossible to have a conversation. First and last time there

    We unfortunately had a bad experience Saturday night. We came a little early because we live around the corner, our table was tiny and in the middle of the room completely awkwardly placed and in the way. When we sat down we ordered calamari and arancino. The calamari was very rubbery/soggy and I did not feel well a few minutes after eating a few pieces of the calamari. Finally the service was really bad. It took almost 15 mins after finishing our apps to order our entrees. It took almost 40 mins for our entrees (cacio e pepe and carbonara) to be brought to our table, not once did our server come to check on us or explain that the kitchen was backed up. After finishing our mains we decided to give dessert a try only to be told the two desserts we ordered were both sold out. We were hoping to recommend this place in our air bnb listing as a recommendation, but they fell way short for a king west location.

    The service was excellent. That is the hallmark of a well managed restaurant. The food was good but I’m an Italian food fan and it wasn’t the best quality but it was still satisfying. It was also really loud, but should expect that from a Friday night. The server was super good!

    Honestly rating would have been higher had the service been better. The food was decent and ambience was great. Definitely overpriced considering the quality as well as amount of food you get but I guess they are able to level in the price based on the unique atmosphere. It was for my birthday and our server was not super friendly. However, the hostesses were super sweet and sat us at a booth instead of right in the centre where it would have been much louder and was extremely appreciative of that. I’m also not sure if you have to pay for a Birthday dessert but I never got one yet witnessed like 4 different ones come out with sparklers. I will say my tiramisu martini was really good. But my friends and I did not like the Nuvoletta cocktail, may just be preference. It wasn’t terrible, but I should have listened to others about their experiences yet the funny part is mine was bad not because of the food, but the server. Wish I could have said otherwise.

    We chose to sit at the patio since the weather was quite nice. The outdoor seating has lots of heating and extends the experience to the heart of downtown. However, the indoor ambiance of the restaurant also looked amazing!! Many wine options from Italy, we had the La Magia Rosso di Montalcino 2021. The Tiramusu Martini was delicious. The fried calamari was a bit too chewy and lacked flavor. Our main server did not know which wine we wanted and we had to point to it from the menu. She then had to get another server to open it up for us. While he was opening the bottle he was trying to give cliche descriptions like “This is a nice choice, I love this bottle of wine” but when we asked him what the grape was he was not able to answer us. Definitely will come back for the food and the staff was okay. Just would prefer a trained server the next time.

    The food was okay. The place definitely looks better in pictures. The service was horrible. Server took about 15 mins to acknowledge out existence and no it was not busy. Asked for straws which we had to get up and find ourselves at the bar. Asked for napkins which the person that delivered our food had to provide.. 30 mins later after asking the server. The host who was sitting people at the table would not acknowledge us because “she’s not our server”. I’ve been a server before and if a table that wasnt mine asked for some water I would take it to them instead of doing the bare minimum. Throughout the whole experience, our actual server just took our order and then brought chilli oil over after the pizza was done. She seemed to always be at the one larger table refilling their water constantly while ignoring her smaller tables. I would not dine in here. If you want to try to food just do take out.

    Family of 4 for mother's day. We got the octopus and veal meatballs for apps. Octopus was $24-28? and only one leg and the other was too narrow to count as a leg. Tasty and potatoes were good but way too small a portion for what we paid. Veal meatballs were very dense and were ok but would not order again. Ordered angiolitti with truffles - $34 and while it tasted quite good it was practically room temperature. Disappointing. Cacio E pepe was good hot and full of flavour. almost overpowering. We were stuffed so only got one cannoli and it was huge!! piped at the table with pistachio crumbs and chocolate at the other end. it had some candied fruit in it too. Highlight of the meal.

    We had a very high expectations for Oretta as we have had friends and family, who have died there previously. We had an appointment booked two weeks prior to our seating, and there was a glitch in the system so our 3pm dining experiencing was pushed to 3:20 where we were not informed that the kitchen closed at 3:30 and therefor had 8 minutes to pick out meals. Felt very rushed. The website also claimed brunch was on until 3 PM so we assumed we were having the dinner menu, however that was not available to us as brunch was the only option. Our waiter was lovely and worked to make our experience a better one as we expressed or disappointment. Not the experience we were expecting.

    Came for Mother’s Day and was running a bit late due to road closures from the marathon. Tried calling for 20 minutes to let them as it’s common courtesy and nobody picked up the phone. When I got there I apologized and asked if I could move the reservation as I saw there was availability online. They told me I had to sit outside, despite seating being open inside during my entire stay. The hostess was passive and rude, she didn’t seem to care about looking into anything just bluntly said your seating is now on patio. Our server was very polite but the first drink brought out had a bug in it, I asked for another and she never got around to it. I was still charged and was so defeated I didn’t even care to correct it, I just wanted to leave. Food is okay, but expensive for what it is. Safe to say the service is awful and I'll never be going back.

    Good food, excellent dessert. Service was disappointing, took way too long to take our drink orders, waiter kept forgetting to bring us water even when we asked. Also brought us a lukewarm espresso, had to ask for a fresh one. Nice ambiance, too bad service was slow.

    We were 20 mins late for our reservation for 6 ppl, this was due to the unknown traffic rules on King W (we’re from Ottawa). We called to say we were running late and she told us they gave our table away and we would have to sit outside. When we arrived the hostess was not accommodating at all. It was a cool night and we weren’t happy about having to sit outside we asked if we could sit at an empty high top table near the doors, she said it was reserved. We sat outside, there were heaters out there, but it was still chilly. Our waiter (forgot his name but he’s Irish) was fantastic! We ordered drinks, pizzas and salads to start, all were excellent. Our mains were 5 pasta dishes and a branzino. The fish was delicious, the pastas were underwhelming and not hot. The waiter had a lot of tables and no one came to see how we were enjoying our meal. So we didn’t bother asking them to reheat the pasta and ate it lukewarm. We would have stayed for dessert, but honestly we were not comfortable in the cold, so we paid and left. The high top table we had requested remained empty the whole time we were there. I think the hostess was trying to stick it to us…which we didn’t appreciate. I don’t think we’ll be back mostly because of her attitude towards us.

    Oretta is a fantastic place to eat! Every visit has been lovely and the service is always very kind! I typically go during less busy hours because its a bit quieter, but my last visit during happy hour I noticed the food was a bit cold (perhaps because of the rush) but overall I enjoyed my experience
