Beautiful, classy, unique décor - modern 20s. Staff was very friendly. Food was delicious! I had the rapini and sausage pasta - YUM!
Gorgeous place, amazing food, and great service! Awesome!
2 hour wait for two basic pasta dishes. Good food but 2 hours???
Fantastic job top to bottom. Chef de Maison Paul Cristou is an exceptional talent with a very bright future.
I did have 2 bugs in my drink.
A night I will remember for the rest of my life!! THANK YOU ORETTA for coordinating the perfect proposal with my now fiancé. I made reservations here for his Birthday. The food was fantastic and a unique version of Italian food. As someone who is Italian and eats homemade authentic Italian food on a regular basis, I was extremely impressed with the quality and authenticity. The ambiance of Orettta was cozy and magical and decorated for the holidays. We had a fantastic server who met all of our needs. I was so surprised when they brought out the dessert, I was expecting it to be my boyfriend's birthday dessert, but was shocked to see "will you marry me" written beautifully along with some Nutella and Creme filled puffs. The staff came out and filmed the proposal and offered us Prosecco to celebrate afterwards. My fiancé told me after he came to Oretta the day before and was met with enthusiastic and welcoming staff who helped in every step of the process. I just want to say GRAZIE MILLE for this beautiful night I will always remember :)
What an incredible dining experience. Great food and great service. Had the tasting menu, it was incredible!!!!
Great restaurant ! Beautiful inside, very Art Deco. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. I will definitely head back there again and and soon.
I went in and there was no hostess ready to take us in. When one did show up she sat us down. At the end I expressed that it was my friends birthday and even had it in the notes when booking. She proceeded to hand me a dessert menu. I would have been happy to pay for my own dessert but didn’t understand why my birthday guest would be charged for hers. Very unprofessional.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. There was a insect inside the wine glass of my guest, as well as a few flying around me!
I had the Insalata and it was very disappointing. The Piedmonte pizza was O.K.
I will not return!
Great happy hour! Definitely coming back for their other offerings.
My birthday lunch at oretta was spectacular! On the weekends they have a special where you can get unlimited mimosas, any regular meal and dessert for a set price! I ordered the truffle pizza and pasta and it was delicious! Amazing server as well. Would recommend.
An ok experience.
Beautiful room and very friendly service. But the food was barely adequate: carbonara that was flavorless, truffled steak and eggs with a very rough steak and barely any taste of truffle. And an ice cold poached egg and asparagus on toast. Bomba was good though. Calarmari wasn't crispy enough.
The food is good, but they kind of put us in a corner and forgot about us. Took forever just to order / receive food, while tables around us seemed to be paid more attention.
This place seems more like an Instagram flex than a nice place to have dinner. For the amount we paid, I would expect attentive service.
Food was delicious, except the bruschetta (cold tomatoes and too crusty bread). Each of us orders different dishes, the pizza, the squash ravioli, pasta with tomato sauce(not on menu) and Sea Bass. My Sea Bass was top notch. Service excellent.
The table was a bit crowded, squeezed in by the bar.
Was asked still or sparkling water, decided on sparkling but was served still water.
too dark so couldn't see menu. Food was adequate but nothing special
Pizza was pretty good, but no surprise on others. Also, we found a hair in our main dish, which was very unfortunate.
Oretta is a top-notch restaurant when it comes to both service and food/drink selections. We truly enjoyed every aspect of our meal. If we had to make one criticism, it would be that one of our steaks was overdone. However, my guest did not complain to the servers.
Great! Loved the 1/2 bottles of wine on Mondays + happy hour. :-)
Oretta was the perfect ambiance for my bday brunch. The servers were nice and patient and made my birthday special ! Everything we got was yummy especially the fried chicken burgers and steak.
Overall food and ambiance were good. Our server was somewhat distract. In addition, I have asked for a DECAF latte (which I have emphasized a few times), but ended up with a full on caffeine buzzing latte!
Lovely little spot
Food and service was great! Loved their gluten-free options!
Love coming here 💕 our server was incredible & I remember she was our server last time we were there and we loved her.
Excellent friendly staff. The food presentation was beautiful. We especially enjoyed the small appetizers available during Happy Hour.
Like it so much. For sure I’m gonna come back.
Slow service forgot my drink but food was good
All of the food and drinks were amazing. Girl at the bar was really great. Table service left much to be desired. Took almost 2 hours to get food to the table for 3 of us. Had to ask multiple times for a wine list and to get our drinks to the table. Restaurant had open tables so they were not at capacity. Good thing the food was tasty of this place would be a total write off
Food was delicious, amazing decor, will recommend to a friend and will be coming back soon
Nice decor with a good vibe and delicious cocktails our meal was disappointing.
We waited a long time for our server as unfortunately she was cashing out large bar tables.
Perhaps the management should have noticed this?
Starters were all quite good but when the mains came the sea bass was simply not fresh, the ravioli was undercooked and the pizza was ok.
I really like this place. It has a vibrant vibe and good atmosphere inside. Like the decor but it is a little loud but suppose most restaurants are the same. Felt tables were a bit too close together and crowded but it did not take away from experience. They have the 4 to 7 special menu which is great. The pizzas and wine are my favourite. Would recommend for sure!
The main dish took over an hour to come after the appetizer, on a not so busy night.
Came here for a birthday brunch. Lovely ambiance and exceptional tasting food (everyone in the group ordered a different pizza and had amazing reviews). We went with the brunch special (bottomless mimosas)- service started off great, but after being seated for around an hour our server mentioned they were running low on mimosas and could not continue to serve us. Other than that small inconvenience, everything else was great and I will definitely return!
Amazing food, awesome staff, delicious food, just such a good time. The manager was a sweetheart. Glad I celebrated my birthday with them :)
Had a great time here. The food price was good, they even had a special weekend price. Service was a little slow to say the restaurant wasn't full.
Food was amazing and so was the restaurant.
Amazing experience! Best pizza I’ve ever had hands down. Service was very good and fairly quick considering it was a Saturday night
I made a reservation at Oretta after reviewing the many other restaurants and choices we have in Toronto. I chose Oretta from recommendations, the menu and interesting decor. When we arrived, the main area of the restaurant was busy and bustling with conservations and activity and we looked forward to being part of the experience. As it was 6:00 there were empty tables. Instead, we were escorted upstairs to an isolated, no music, dead quiet and empty space. I asked why we were seated here and not downstairs. They asked if we had requested a particular table. I said that this was my first time at Oretta and would not have known where to be seated. I would have expected that if a reservation had been made it would be obvious that there was a conscious effort to have selected Oretta above the many other top restaurants in Toronto. And because of this, an effort by the reservation staff would support this. We were eventually given a table on the main floor and enjoyed a lovely evening. If you would respond and let me know the reservation policy and why we were seated as such it would be much appreciated.
