Food was delicious and overall good value. Friendly service.
One of the best gluten free pizza's in the city! Also have an impressive cocktail list.
Beautiful restaurant and great ambience.
Must try brunch next :)
I was excited to come to Oretta for brunch. The ambience is nice, well designed. However, the food portion is way too small. I’ve had 17 dollars brunch elsewhere and I will be full. But this place, the food portion is too small, I ordered the Benedict, you can finish the food within 3 bites. We ordered pizza afterwards, again it is smaller but more satisfying than the brunch. Service was ok, we ordered the coffee, the waitress brought us only a cup of black coffee- we had to ask for milk. Not good value in my opinion if you come here for food.
Very nice hostess we follow her to our table which was right beside the kitchen at the end of the restaurant. Not sure why there put table in this particular area but we definitely didn’t want sit there. The hostess was very apologetic and look if we could move to another area in the restaurant, we did.
Cons:overpriced, we spend 600$ after tip 4 of us.
Great food and incredible service
The service wasn’t the best, we felt very rushed.
The attitude of the waitress wasn’t the best as well.
It was my birthday. But I didn’t get a cake hehe. I forgot to tell them
We enjoyed ourselves. Pizzas and salads were great! Great spot.
We were seated on the mezzanine which was quaint. We unfortunately were seated under the fresh air vent which was blowing cold air down on us the whole dinner. The server was not able to turn it off. They had offered to move us but it was half way through our meal as it was busy.
Food was decent. Shrimp appetizer was small and underwhelming. Kale salad was good, Porcini mushroom risotto balls were delicious. Meatballs were also fantastic.
Main meal of flat iron steak was cooked perfectly but salmon was slightly undercooked. Sea bass was very enjoyable.
Our server was great the whole night and attentive
Great food great environment great service I just brought the wrong girl to ruin the night
Amazing service great food sure we will come back
Amazing!! Food was fantastic and so was the service. Seriously one of my favourite new spots!
My only call out........... Need candles on tables!!
Great service, nice venue. Food however is way overpriced for what it is. I most likely will never go again.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was great. We got the Ravioli e Funghi pasta and the Piemonte pizza. Both amazing for mushroom lovers. Will definitely go again!
This was my first time at Oretta and I will definitely be back. It was quieter since it was a Monday and it's been so cold. Drinks were good, food was delicious. The decor is beautiful and the view from the top where the washroom are is stunning. I would love to come back and see the light during the day.
Great experience overall, I will be back again for sure!
We went for the happy hour. The service was great. The drink specials are very worth the money! But the food for happy hour was just "ok". We all still had a really nice time overall.
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friend's home. I definitely would return to try more dishes.
Had my birthday lunch with my family and it was great!!
Great food, arrived warm and fresh. Portions aren’t too big nor too small, just perfect. Great and speedy service. Nice atmosphere and nice decor. Will definitively return.
I went here with a friend and my infant for brunch. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Italian inspired breakfast options is quite unique so we wanted to try! We had the asparagus benedict (not called this) and the pizza breakfast wrap (also not called this). Both were quite tasty. I would go back and try other options!
When two of our party were unable to make it we called ahead to allow the restaurant to free up space, big mistake - they sat us in the back cafe area instead of the main restaurant. When we told our server we wanted to share our meal family style and have the dishes come out one at a time due to the size of the table (tiny 2-top) and wanting to enjoy our food he wouldn’t do it. He said the kitchen was too busy to accommodate such a request and it would take too long to receive our food, for reference we ordered the beef carpaccio, Caesar salad, and a pasta dish. Clearly he was too busy with the larger table next to us who were somehow able to receive starters separate from mains. Our food came out very quickly and all at once. While the food was excellent, the service and overall experience was terrible. I would hesitate to recommend this spot to a friend.
We had awful seats near the kitchen. The food portions are so small and prices are high. No reason for pasta dishes to be so small.
The best coffee in Toronto, hands down. Very cool atmosphere, service staff is friendly and helpful, and has an extensive wine list.
Merina did a fantastic job. Food was fantastic and great for sharing.
Never disappointed - one of my favorite spot in town!
Enjoyed my Oretta visit. The food was tasty and the serving size was good. Liked the atmosphere.
Food was great and the service was very quick! The portion sizes weren't huge but would definitely go back!
Went here for Winterlicious and will definitely be coming back. I was so happy to see they had beef carpaccio on the menu as it is difficult to find. And theirs was absolutely delicious - it was perfectly seasoned and the porcini mushrooms were amazing. The pasta was made in house and perfectly cooked.
Service was excellent with two servers per table. The restaurant itself is beautiful. I'm not sure if the interior designer was the same person who designed Lena's, but it has a similar look and feel.
Overall I highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent, authentic Italian cuisine in a comfortable atmosphere.
What a beautiful feeling you get once you walk in! I was greeted warmly by the hostess and felt truly accommodated upon fixing a miscommunication with their team. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to sit at my reserved table for 3 when waiting at the bar for out last dinner member. Our server was attentive and ensured we were having a good time. A staff member, a manager I believe, gave us warm attention and also ensured we were happy, and was very fun to converse with; even if briefly. The food was good for its class range, but the experience was mostly in the physical interior of the dining room itself. It was to me, an old school art deco from the 1920's played into the 21st century without any of the dilution of the current modernity to appeal to only the younger crowd.
I love David Rocco's shows and his food, we had lunch and it was great but the Kale salad made me severely ill. I had a reaction to it and just yesterday learned that there was a kale recall. Not sure if the kale I had at the restaurant was contaminated but I was the only one on our table that had the Kale salad...I hope they take it off the menu, especially now with the recall.
Aside from that I love the restaurant and food is always awesome here.
Food was AMAZING, but our service was ubderwhelming. We were passed on to two different waiters because our original one chose to help a larger table.
No brunch menu during winterlicious which was kind of disappointing.
It was overall good
Very good, staff went above and beyond, highly recommend
I love this place and have gone quite a bit, except for this time my experience was far from good. Our waitress was great at first and she recommended good choices. However, as the night went on, our waitress seemed to have disappeared and our service got worse. To the point of our main meal being served with NO bottle of wine we ordered. The person who served the meal just dumped our plates and we had asked for pepper and parmesan and to no avail nothing. I had to get up and remind our server for wine and for the pepper and cheese. To top it all off, we had paid our bills which took a long time....the restaurant was not even busy at that time and when we went to leave our waitress said she forgot to add the wine bottle, so can we repay everything. I have to say it was disappointing in the service and we will probably never go back. They are luck that their food is exceptional, too bad the service was not up to par.
Nice atmosphere, pleasant service. Food was not outstanding but it was good, fresh and tasty. Portion sizes were good.
Value for money - I would have expected more with presentation or flavors.
The food was delicious and portions were generous for the winterlicious menu. Try the veal ragu! The house red we ordered had an odd taste to it and our waiter replaced it immediately. The only disappointment was the cannoli. I enjoyed the table side filling of the shells but after the first bite, you realize there is a hollow shell in between! So really, you’re getting two bites of shell and ricotta. Boo.
