The restaurant interior is beautiful. The wait staff were friendly. And they prepared a beautiful dessert tray for my birthday.
They have a really good ambience, and decor. The service is really good and accommodate. While, the foods wasn’t match up with that they charge.
Phenomenal - 5*
Such a pretty restaurant, love the decor! The food was amazing, we had the summerlicious menu and everything was spot on. The service was also amazing. When we were there, they were having some issues that day in the kitchen and we had to wait a little longer for a main. But the staff was so considerate, came over a few times to apologize and offered extra bread. Before we left, they even gave us complimentary donuts from their cafe. We already had our dessert but ate the donuts as well cause they were soo good! Very good experience for us, we didn't mind the wait at all.
This is a very pretty restaurant. Very chic Art Deco all over the place, a gorgeous space. Tasty food, prompt and attentive service, will go again for sure.
Great service and superb food.
Excellent service and amazing food !! Ben was a great server !
the server is so nicee
food is good
the waiting time is a bit long
The décor is absolutely stunning! One of the prettiest restaurants in Toronto. Service was congenial but a little forgetful. Food was good but not outstanding. We liked the pizza, and the warm olives were great, but the focaccia wasn't fresh. The aperetivo specials were a really good deal. Overall, a fabulous place to get together with girlfriends after work.
Loved loved this restaurant !! This was a perfect place for our ladies lunch. Summerlicious menu was outstanding. Presentation and service was over the top !!
Sumerlicious lunch menu was excellent and a great price!
Great helpful staff
The server was very kindness.
And the restaurant’s mood was perfect for dating. I would like to visit again.
Grazie! The Oretta Team is looking forward to see you soon!
Great summerlicious selections await at Oretta. Take in the patio on King Street West and watch the world go by. My companion ordered the Stracciatella Parfait and couldn't get enough of it. I ordered the
Vitello Tonnato which I thoroughly enjoyed, an uptake on how my Nonna used to prepare it!
The Linguini al Pomodorino was outstanding (fantastic portion size) and my companion had the Branzino
with ah so awesome braised rapini. To top it off try the Sorbetto al Limone or better yet, the Cannolo Siciliano with the fixings made right in front of you.
One last thing to add..........Bon appetito
Ciao, I am very happy that you enjoyed our Summerlicious Menu and that our dishes transported you to your Nonna's kitchen table. Thank you for your visit, the Oretta Team is looking forward to see you soon! Grazie Matteo
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Would highly recommend !
Grazie Mille!! thank you for the review! Matteo
Oretta's been good since day one, when it was known mostly for its pink and gold aesthetic. It's my third time here, first time was for dinner and drinks with my best friend, second time was with my brother for brunch, and this time was for Summerlicious with a co-worker. I love its openness, high-energy vibe, and fun unpretentious staff. The menu was simple and inventive, while not losing familiarity. Our server was cheeky in a good way, and was always prompt. While it was a little loud and I found myself straining to hear what my co-worker was saying, I did enjoy the easy-going atmosphere in an evidently chic space.
For the appetizer, I ordered an artichoke and burrata salad that came with grilled bread. I was not expecting the burrata to be so flavourful and sweet, but somehow the brininess of the artichokes accentuates the cheese's sweet milkiness. Also, their olive oil is bomb. My co-worker ordered the vitello tonnato (veal carpaccio with tuna mayonnaise). It was beautifully plated, also quite generous in portion (without being excessive), and he too commented at the high quality of the olive oil.
For the main course we both ordered the seared salmon on a pool of creamed corn with roasted (shimeji?) mushrooms and dill-pickled zucchinni. The salmon was neatly trimmed, over an inch in thickness, cleanly pin-boned, and had the most gorgeous, golden-brown crispy skin. The interior was tender and glossy, with the slightest touch of translucence. The creamed corn was genius, the pickles were slightly on the sweet side and delicious, and the mushrooms stole the show - crispy and tantalizingly browned.
Dessert was also well-executed. The tableside cannoli service was fun to watch, and the passionfruit tart was tangy and fresh. Two minor things I would note are that the server gave me a spoon instead of a fork for the tart, which I found odd, and the fresh pineapple that accompanied the tart was not up to par.
Overall, though, definitely will be back, with friends.
We are a little bit disappointed on this visit. The food was good but the service was very slow. Took about and hour to get our mains out after our appetizers. Our first visit was excellent but this time the kitchen was slow. Our server was very apologetic about the slow service but good food does not make up for slow service. We did mention this to the server and were explained a large party slammed the kitchen with a big order. They should have warned us at the time of the reservation.
Beautiful aesthetic and and great food !! Noise level was perfect for a Saturday night out. Garette, our waiter was amazinggg. Good vibes all around. Great place for a bday celebration.
Oretta has a beautiful ambiance! Service was very good and the food was very tasty! Portions were very small for the prices paid !! Dessert was $13.00 - the tiramisu and the portion was tiny! I was a little disappointed with that ! I have ate at comparable restaurants on King Street and portions at Oretta were the smallest! Don’t think I will be returning as I would rather eat at a comparable restaurant and feel I got my money’s worth!!
Went with my friends, we had a good time. I enjoyed the pizza but unfortunately they don't have many vegetarian options.
I was very satisfied. They food and ambiance was great. Our server was very friendly. I didn't like my drink and he didn't hesitate and made me a new one right away. I would definitely go here again.
Everything was great. Everyone was super friendly, took their time to explain the menu and made the experience wonderful. The veal carpaccio was one of the best carpaccios I've had and my salmon was cooked to perfection. The happy hour deals are outstanding. Thanks for a great evening!
Came for summerlicious, and the food was amazing, complimented by a great interior and excellent service. Would definitely come again.
Great pizza and great vibe, but the pasta was so salty it was inedible. Also we were given the wrong meal.
Nice take on classic Italian specialties. Great location, unfortunately very noisy. The food is good. And I'm Italian.
I just found the food a little too salty for me but for the most part the food was very good.
This was our 3rd time going to Oretta. We usually enjoy it the but this time there were a couple of issues. One, we were seated upstairs. The lighting is terrible up there. It was very dark and extremely noisy, to the point where it was very disruptive to our evening. I much prefer the vibe on the main floor with the high ceilings and lots of light. Two, the food was delicious as always however, they had just recently changed there menu. I found the quality was still outstanding but the menu lacked in selection. There were some dishes that used to be on the menu that were now no longer there. That all being said I would definitely go back again but will make sure I ask for a table on the first floor.
Super special day today at Oretta with my mom. Garrett served us. So many of the staff came over to say hi. It was such a warm and welcoming afternoon. Thank you all!
Worst service I’ve ever encountered at any restaurant.... ever. It could have easily been patched up with empathy but it seems the staff here fails to have a grasp on that concept. 40 minutes for bruschetta and an hour and 20 for pizza... and a blank stare of confusion when this was questioned. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.
Great atmosphere and happy hour!
Drinks and food is great.
Love the decor. The mushroom pasta is my fave. Such a nice place to spend time in!!
We came on a hot summer evening, I expect it to be busy. The fish was on salty side. the paster is excellent. the first waitress was not too attentive to us. another waitress take over half way and she was very good. Like the room very much. We'll be back, hope the fish is not salty.
Love this place!
The food and atmosphere are amazing
Service is sometimes a little slow but that’s not a huge deal.
Lunchtime on a Tuesday was relatively quiet, but there were still quite a few people who came in and out during the time we were there. The interior is spacious and very bright; the patio space looks quite nice as well if you enjoy dining outside! We had ordered two of the salads (both of which were good!) and they took a little longer than expected but the service was so kind and offered us a drink on the house. Will definitely return here if I am ever in the area!
Good vibes on the patio. Our server Garret made our experience even better. Great little spot, would definitely go back.
Had a lamb chop, was supposed to be medium rare came out medium well. Wife had ravioli. Taste was ok but pasta was under cooked. Nice casual restaurant. Price was ok. Service was excellent. Food could be better. Plenty of other restaurants in the area. I’ll go somewhere else for better food.
Nice atmosphere, nice server. Overall good. Unfortunately the appetizer didn’t come until after the mains and the toppings did not match the description for one of the pizzas.
Service dipped as got busier but not due to increased custom, more so as the servers were chatting at the host station. Also the female uniforms were very confusing, cheap looking and short on some of the servers but otherwise the food was tasty and ambience enjoyable
Our server was great! The atmosphere was wonderful. the bar stools type chairs were incredibly comfortable surprisingly. What a beautiful restaurant!
Really nice decor, however, noise level is high and service only decent. Food is good but not anything new or interesting.
