Since the pandemic restaurants are forced to higher their prices and make smaller portions

Unfortunately this is the 3rd and final time that we will be visiting Oretta. The food is great but the service has been terrible every time. The least accommodating place I've been to. We really have tried and only went back because of the food. Such a shame.

Excellent service and food! Unfortunately because of the grey zone we were sitting outside so late at night it got very cold. If you plan to eat anywhere really, plan a little earlier in the day!

Other then that, chef's experience was awesome, the food was great, and staff were wonderful!

The first time I went a few years ago I wasn’t impressed, but I’m now a true believer. This is a great restaurant on King W, and I’m basically positive you’ll like it.

I have been here before however this time was horrible, the food was not good at all and its a shame for such a beautiful restaurant. Due to covid we could not experience the inside and the patio was ok, for the prices the food was not good, my pizza was ok but my friends ordered the steak and was very disappointed.

Food was great as usual. Service was friendly and relatively quick considering restaurants have just been allowed to reopen for outdoor dining.

Phenomenal experience. A bit pricey but nonetheless overall great food.

The food was great but a tad bit oily and salty on the pizza, but overall great restaurant and excellent staff.

We were sat not the patio and we were not told that we would be. The noise was so loud we couldn’t even hear ourselves on our table. Poor experience!

Food and service was not good.

The patio was quite small. Service was ok but could’ve been better since there weren’t many customers. The food was splendid as always! Overall we had a good time ☺️

A little crowded on the patio but it’s because of the space heaters. Other than that, great overall experience!

Super great service, kind and personable waiters. We were outside in the tent so the ambiance didn’t parallel how nice it is inside, but very good quality food and drinks along with fair prices to match! Would definitely come back

Our group had a VERY poor experience at Oretta. We came to Oretta to celebrate a friend's engagement, because of the happy hour, we thought it would be the best option for our group in order to have a budget-friendly way to celebrate (especially for those under financial constraint during COVID). I called the restaurant multiple times during the week to confirm the reservations and ensure they could accommodate our group size.

When we went to order food, they told us they had "discontinued" the Happy Hour for in-house dining this week, and that we need to order from the main menu. Even though we had been to the happy hour multiple times in the last few months, the happy hour was still available for takeout and the happy hour is still advertised on the website and on the street sign. What baffled me most was that the hostess never let me know in the multiple conversations I had with them that week, about this last-minute change.

When we explained to the manager the only reason we made the group reservation at Oretta was because of the Happy Hour, he was VERY rude and said too bad there is no exception to be made during COVID. I'm frustrated by the very poor customer service from the management team, and the lack of understanding given that we were never made aware of this "last minute" menu change. It could have been dealt with in a much more hospitable way from the management team, there was no compassion from the manager at all.

I've been to Oretta many times before this for both the regular menu and the happy hour and I can honestly say the food is good, but with the level of service we received today. Neither I nor my group of friends will be returning or hosting events there in the future.

I feel bad to give Oretta bad score. But I was really disappointed with their unprofessionalism. I booked my table for 2 on Birthday. I was right on time. It was nicely decorated patio with heaters. I was shocked to see them just quickly setup a table randomly on the pathway where people are passing. It was far from other tables and not even aligned with the whole table setup of the patio. Worst part was when me and my wife sat on the table and just removed our mask, someone just passed us while coughing. And many more people passed us almost 1 feet close without any musk. Because our table was setup on the middle of the path between 2 buildings. For me, it showed their lack of care for their guests in this difficult time. Though our server was proactive to change our table after we complained. But he was initially hesitant to change because his manager didn't provide any decision though there were empty table. For me, it's a sign of very bad management. Can't go to a restaurant that doesn't give priority to customer's safety and well-being in this pandemic time. However, I must appreciate the service of the server. They are really good with food and drink suggestions. Liked the food too. Tiramisu cake was little too soggy. Overall food was good.

Made a reservation over a week in advance for the Oretta Aperitivo Hour, which we've been to many times. Invited 2 friends to join, who looked up the Aperitivo menu online that same morning to see it available. It wasn't until we were seated that we were told "happy hour was only for takeout" and they pasted a "takeout" image on the menu that afternoon. Very misleading to advertise Aperitivo Hour online for dine-in and then change it without notice. The service was disappointing - though pleasant staff the wait for service was lengthy. We were told we wouldn't have the table for more than 90 minutes, reminded of this nearing the end, and then proceeded to have us wait another 40 minutes for the bill beyond the 90 minutes. Very disappointed with the value for money, service, and inaccurate advertising.

The food was very good and friendly service, but the washroom wasn´t clean which was a little bit dissapointing.

Very slow food delivery. Limited menu compared to pre-covid. Took forever to get our bill, had to go inside and just pay rather than wait for the server to come to our table

Need to enclose the outdoor dining because its too cold to eat outside during covid now. Staff and food was lovely as usual otherwise.

This place was freezing af! Hopefully they’re able to invest into some proper heaters for their patio. Other than that, food and drinks were good and the service was good too. Will go back on a warmer day.

The food was good, location is decent, the view was okay. Overall okay, no wow factor for me but not much complain about either.

I love ORETTA, we’ve come here frequently since they’ve opened. I completely understand how tough it is these times for servers and restaurants. We were seated in the alleyway where people were walking past with an inch of space from the walkway, even though there were plenty of open seats. I had people cough as they were walking by which was so scary during these times with my food inches away. Service also took a long time but I chalked it up to the fact that we were hidden in the alley not even in the area of the restaurant. Honestly so disappointed, I loved this restaurant but will not be going back for a while.

Although I specifically requested the dining area when I made the reservation online, we were first taken to the patio. It was a bit cold that night so we asked to switch and were taken to the back cafe area. It was quiet, dark and cold. We were told that there weren’t any other tables but the manager later brought over some complimentary Prosecco and apologized which was very nice of her. The charcuterie appetizer was great but the mains, gnocchi and steak were average. The service and drinks were great too.

Amid this pandemic, we were able to experience indoor dining again on my daughter’s birthday. COVID protocols were in place and despite it all, the dining experience was not rigid and the dining atmosphere and service was mindful but relaxed. We sampled a variety on the menu offerings and I must say, it was a good gustatory experience. I would like to go back again, when circumstances permit.
